And he has the balls to claim he'll protect her He'll make amends. Sir if you want to make amends officially divorce her and sneak her dowery. Your parents don't even need to know. Instead of asking her to give you a chance. Which is so stupid. Especially since he knows his parents lied about the pills to heal her mom
If she didn't, I would be slightly disappointed but understand. As she does, I'm satisfied because it's gonna…
If she didn't it would be so out of place with a Chinese drama and the time period. Cdramas are too notorious when it comes to revenge. They can't suffer a loss quietly. I'll just be very happy to see a massive dose of public humiliation and poverty for that family
Pretty fine episode. And somehow, despite the little screentime for our main couple together, I don't mind. The only complaint I have is the SML. I hope he gets enlightenment that she's better off without him and his amends soon. Cause his stupid delusional act of not understanding her early or of not being aware of his parents faults or having no choice is getting old. He's status and capacity hasn't changed. So what makes him think he can provide for her? It's like when he was claiming he could protect the FL from being killed. With which capacity? Eh baby boy? Go let mummy cuddle you. We need to be done with these terrible husbands and ex and find another plot to focus on.
his character looks more useless and infuriating than the double He's such a moody
I think what helps him distinguish himself from the SML in the double is that so far he isn't consciously evil. He's being stripped of his naiveness little by little but he's still (stupidly sure) trying to follow the moral ethics and live uprightly. In fact, the worse type of good people. Cause they'll judge as long as they're good, but never extend grace to anyone outside their stereotypes. And have all the excuses when they're wrong It's why FL said he's not someone you depend on. Too immature and inefficient and incapable. Also, very little people skills and eq
Finally caught up, and seeing the ex husband back on screen just reminds me how much of a danger stupid men are if they're not kept under a close watch. He's a danger and bad luck to his parents A terrible and fickle man to love. Thankfully FL never put her holes on him. It does concern me that Miles is the actor. I don't want to end up hating his character too much. Just because I generally like him. But his character here is almost as useless as the first husband in the Double.
I just started this drama and already I'm loving it. It just pains me when a protagonist doesn't even need to fake or scheme anything to get justice. They just need to react to how antagonist treat them and actually speak out. Then the villains get angry and entitled like the protagonists where created to roll over and eat their shit. And them speaking up is wrong. When it's well within their rights. Just as humans, not even a special thing for good people
The humour is the grating type. Exhausting to watch, tending to overacting with all the vibrations and shouts. I particularly dislike ML's father. He's such a slimy old man
I'm late to watch this. And I find it a little nice to be honest. But while I tend to give a lot of grace to old dramas, some elements of the FLs character completely piss me off. Her naiveness is just too irritating. But I guess it is true for her type of sheltered life. And God, she and her employees are so delusional. Like they're dead broke, in very very bad debt yet are thinking of doing charity? Fancy charity for that matter, not essential charity. The ideal thing would be to put the program on hold, at least in the name of the recent loss of her father. Just skip a year of the program. They had literally no solid source of income. I love the ML's method. Crude and clear.
As much as I hate Niu Wu Niang for being petty with daddy issues, I love her resting bitch face. It's the same…
Are not qualified to talk to you? š Your statement is so xianxia coded. Who dares talk to this young Mistress? A resting bitch face always an essential, moreso in this modern time
Unpopular opinion:I liked the ex-boyfriend, good character development and the FL was partly to blame for how…
Yeah, I totally agree with you. The ex boyfriend never really turned me off. The guy messed up a few times but it seemed like ultimately he was also looking out for the FL and the bigger picture. He only seemed so bad because she kept encouraging him and never clarifying things. But as you said, as the drama progressed, the FL became less likeable. I also felt like he deserved better when she complained about him to her friend
I just finished episode 11! I started tearing up because I felt such injustice for the Ji family!! Made me so…
This is exactly what makes me hesitant to commit to this show. Trauma. But thankfully, it's coming early. Hopefully we get a lot of episodes with calm and peaceful loveliness
This is the reason l came here, l'm on episode 14 were everyone is practically forcing her to quit her job so…
God, I watched consistently till EP 18, then just skimmed through. But I absolutely hated the gang for persuading her to pick stand up. Even the ML was disappointing in that area. None of them where being sensible, and personally I felt that made them bad people. Especially the owner of the bar. He's living what is likely to be her future if she picks stand up. Barely making ends meet. I felt as an older brother, he should have understood the need for stability the most and adviced her accordingly. Or at least shut up. It's also not as if her performances draw new people or large crowd to the bar. They never even advertise themselves outside the established community. No awareness programs, no promotion and they never even took extra gigs The owner mentioned once that the crowd they had during one of her shows were mostly comedians themselves, and they're all struggling so they buy 1 beer and nurse it the whole night. That period was the downfall of this show for me.
Why am I not surprised? I had a feeling this would disappoint from around EP 16. They made everything so uncertain for her. No steady source of income, not settled all the possible threats in the industry. No sustainable solutions and even the romance they held the leads up for so long just to end without a conclusion.
I pretty much enjoyed this more than I expected. And the FL was a pretty interesting character. It just got exhausting seeing her move from a stable job that she actually enjoyed and was good at (it would have been understandable if her job wasn't fulfilling or left her depressed. But she actually enjoyed it. Asides the office politics), to the uncertain and unstable life of a stand up comedian. It messed up with my real world senses. Especially since she did it kind of on impulse. For instance, the ML, he made his plans and calculations. After careful and deliberate considerations he quit. But she didn't even calculate for rent. And while her passion is admirable, her execution was very bad. Stuff for regret Industries like this should be approached with caution. Keep a side job on the line. It's even worse than someone quitting to be an actress. Cause an actress even has much more opportunities for making money before blowing big
I've watched 5 episodes and I'm sorry I don't find the ML fine. I didn't mind so much but seeing the comments…
Yes, she's his ex sister in law. I take it she's divorced or something, cause in the flashback they had she didn't seem to have a loving husband and she's not sad she's out of the family
1st epi doesn't justify ML's real visual. Im glad in other scenes he looks gorgeous. Am I the only one that like…
I've watched 5 episodes and I'm sorry I don't find the ML fine. I didn't mind so much but seeing the comments about him I'm confused. Is something wrong with me š? I agree, the vibe between ML and his sis in law is really cute. I hope they can maintain it the whole drama
Investor boyfriend is giving off control signs. A remote island? Isolation. He knows how to play the long game.…
How else is someone supposed to pursue a woman if not by wearing them down? The guy is just doing his thing as an admirer given permission to chase and your looking for faults in him. In most Cdramas, the couple go on trips to solidify the relationship, even when they're still getting to know each other. When you're chasing someone it's normal to try and impress. If he was a ML in this drama everyone would be swooning for him. Let's at least be aware when we're having double standards. Not everyone must be toxic for you not to want a relationship. You can meet a perfectly good man and he's just not the one for you. Just because he's not Mr Right doesn't mean he's a bad man
The drama is so lovely now. Of course the synopsis makes it clear that this is going to be a heart wrenching drama, but the light and fluffy episodes are so good. I love seeing Seven in a playful role, her small girl laughter is always adorable At the beginning I wondered why FL's brother wasn't doing more of the heavy lifting regarding the business, but if he's training to be a scholar that makes sense. Becoming an official is a much faster way to lift the family up. I wonder, how many years intervals for the imperial exams? I've forgotten.
He'll make amends.

She was clingy girlfriend in the extreme
