I honestly do not know what I think of this
Okay this was my first Thai series, so I'm not sure what I think of it. The pace is faster then C and K dramas, the relationship is not very healthy but both leads had their moments that made them both likable and detestable and the notion of consent... well I got the feeling that when asked they would say what is that? The mother and stepsister where really, really evil. I also sensed a hint of bigotry in it the drama that I don't know if I'm being sensitive about or if it was there. But the story was kind of sweet. How can an average doctor win the heart of a super star???
The side characters where charming and I enjoyed seeing the blemishes on the actors faces instead of the perfection I am used to from other dramas. I also have to commend the scenes between the leads that had a tendency to get so hot it made me blush. All things that where entertaining.
It had some entertainment value but felt some what wrong at the samme time.

A bit like a slowly lit firework, the type that risks exploding in your face.
To be honest he first episodes did not live up to the high ranks this drama has. Some parts where fun others reminded me of 90s soaps. The plot evolved in a slow pace and the characters where not very lovable. So you are going to need allot of patience. But after a while the episodes got better a slow acceleration towards a big bang that made all the slow acceleration worth it and necessary for the plot. I'm not really in to re watching series but this one is probably better the second time if you have the time and patience.
Looking back every episode is genius, from the lightning, the sounds, the looks and the angels. And leaves a bitter sweet taste.
The first time you hear one of the characters say "I'll whack your jaw open" you will probably feel nothing but after a while it will become your favorite insult/threat.
The sight of a pyramid will make you wonder if you have ever been truly loved and you will probably find yourself laughing at the oddest things while you wonder how much are these people willing to put up with. Are they really human?
This was however followed by me wondering how far would I would go in a situation like this. The genius in this series is in the bitter sweet of first thinking that there is no way I can relate to any of this at all and then realizing I can...
It’s easy to judge but if we turn this down a knot am I really that much better? So get ready for a really really really slow start (did I mention the slow start) followed by an amazing ride.

As long as you are awere its bad its actually fun to watch
The sky is mostly gray, the lighing is bad, the hair styles are auful, the acting is mostly bad and the caracters are lacking in depth and backsyory. They also run around doing awkward things. The male lead is a total psykopath, with 0 EQ but 200 IQ, he is really mean all thrue the drama. The female lead is overwellmingly stupid, persistent and kind. I think the only really loveable caracters are the mom and little brother and his friend.
All this considered I did enjoy this drama. The plot reminds me a bit of a love so beautiful and put your head on my shoulder. The family is sweet and supprotive and this is an easy watch between heavy dramas. And a lessonin what type of relationships you should avoid.

Great remake of a great original...
I was a bit reluctant to watch this since I loved the original drama, for its portrayal of the less fit mother, toxic relationships and found family. So much that it made way to most of my series articles abut family relationships in dramaland. But with that said I did have some issues with the original, issues that I did not have with the remake. If you have seen the original and loved the story, you will probably love this one as it has just enough (very slight) differences to make you, or at leas me wonder how will they handle XYZ scene... While still sticking to the original story.
The acting and casting is really good, the chemistry is there and while I admit I loved the male lead in the C a lot more this one does a decent job, balanced up by the male leads who I enjoyed watching slightly more then the ones in the C. So basically they made up for it.
For those who have not seen the original C, this is drama that portrays family and bonds from many different perspectives and shows great contrast between different ways to be a parents well. I loved how this drama showed both the scares, pressure and pain created by the combination societies prejudice, expectations about parenthood and lets face it bad parenting as well as the sheltering/compensating affects of the good parenting, the found family and friendships can create.
The first time I saw this story I was obviously upset about some of the parts but it was also the first time I saw a character portrayed that was so close to my own mother, that I could overlook all the issues I had with it...
A good drama, an easy binge, but also a painful watch that is bound to make you feel a lot of things...

Love Next to important Issues and Annoying Element
This is one of those dramas that is just so hard to rate as it has an amazing cast, a decent story and a lot of important parts of life... A mostly easy watch that gives the viewer butterflies, occasional drool and whole lot of emotions... Some of these are lovely but among those feelings I also found the annoyance to take up a little to much space to be able to rate this higher. While I can appreciate frustration, longing, and mishaps, over the top yelling, and silly moments of drunk kept getting in my way .And while I do love Jung Hae In (JHI) more than the average drama fan, his character was just a little bit to whiny at times as well a dare I say controlling for me to fully fall for him in this. And while I did feel that Jung So Mins character yelled a little bit to much I still found her character to be far more lovable, relatable and so on than JHIS. That said their romance was top, top, top! Keeping this score from falling.. other things that kept this score from falling further was the portrayal of physical and mental lines side by side. The way one most probably raises concern while the others not so much... Ill just leave it at that...
While the lavenders friendship was unbearable ot watch, at least with sound. The younger generations frandships was lovely,- I also lovet the kid, the amount of shots of JHI biting his lip, JHI in water, the food and the use of umbrellas.
A decent watch, extremely gifworthy, and way better than other drams by the same creators but not as good as other drams with the same leads.

Brutally Bloody and a Whole Lot of Broken Bones (and spirits)
I am not crying but I think I want to... As I finish yet another drama about bullying in s. Krean schools I still feel that this was actually worth my time (as you may notice with the high rating).I do not know if this brings a lot new to the table, as we get to see a bunch of grownups take advantage of kids use them as punchingbags and then blame them for paying it forward by punching others... There is a lot of splashing blood, sounds of bones cracking and legs flying in the air. Plus why take responsabilaty for stuff when you can blame others, done slighlty differently and really good.
Our leads are not always what they seem to be, but the friendships and fakefreindsabuserships are solid. The cinematography is brutally beautiful and the felling of f*** lingers in the air throughout the drama.
I love, love, love the bromance and appreciate the male trio in this as well as pretty much have a huge crush on Young Yis (LEon Yeon) character. Park Ji Hoon and Choi Hyun Wook did a phenomenal job portraying their characters.
A painful yet easy binge, but if you are the slightest sensetive to blood chances are you will have to look away now and then.

Tokyo in April is lightly confusing at times but good balance between fluff and issues
Falling in love with your best friend at 15 is complicated... Raging hormones, tabus and disapproving parents complicate things further and before you know it you are torn apart and 10 years have passed... Which is where this story takes of, as these two meet again in a not so well functioning office setting we the viewers a thrown back and fourth in time as the story unfolds (both past and present) this drama tackles well known issues in a pretty decent way.The romance has slightly confusing yet fun to watch development, and the plot of this drama has that too making this that is more suitable to binge than space out (as I did).
The casting of the young versions does not match the older as they look more like the other guy... I would also have wanted to see more from the past than the present as that story was the more interesting one of the two.
Sakurai Yukis acting could have been better, it wasnt bad but there is a noticeable gap between him and the other male lead Takamatsu Alohas acting skills.
All in all an ok watch that could use a few more episodes to fully explore both past and present.

Sweet, fluffy and annoying at times
This is a sweet, easy to watch, easy to binge drama with little drama and more fluff. The female lead is a bit overbearing at times in the first couple of episodes but calms down and is actually pretty smart and nice. The male lead is all kinds of nice and fluffy, not really and more of a pearl tea than the typical icicle we are used to from other c-dramas. The relationship as a whole progresses slowly and aside for a few drunken kisses here and there all three couples seem to respect each others boundaries. I honestly do not think a single person was pushed up against a wall or put in a position they could not get out of.The friendships here are also beautiful as well as this dramas take on jealousy and communication, So + for that to. The biggest downside to this drama is immaturity and bad fake loudly crying here and there... especially by one of the female leads best friends. I honestly just had to skip her scenes because she was just over the top annoyingly selfish and stupid.
All in all definitely worth a watch, but could use more scenes between the main couple...

Fluff but has to many annoying side caracters
This drama is mostly very cute and fluffy.Drawbacks: both the best friend and cousin are annoying so i fast forwerded their parts towards the end. There is a bit of posessivness and as in many chineese dramas I wish they would grasp the consept of concent better (this is one of the better ones concent wise but still not there).
Positive: The ML is very sweet and supprotive, smart and very colmb. The FL is smart and strong but has a tad to much self doubt.
Conclusion: This is a really good short fluff drama to rinse your thoughts after seeing something heavy just be were of the toxidity and fast forward the annoying caracters.

Interesting story but also kind of meeh
This was an interesting window in to 1970s China, with a decent cast and on oaky story. However something was missing to keep my peak interest, some parts felt off and there is definitely a lot of propaganda and moral teaching in this a bit of a karma will get you in the end. Do right by the party (but not to much) and life was hard back then feel to it.The male lead is a bit to impulsive for my tase, devoting and sweet yes but I just couldn't fully connect with him. The female leas is pretty cool and so is the male leads sister and husband. The fathers are adorable but the rest had me wondering about impuls control and thinking some bad thoughts here and there.
What keeps this from getting a higher score is also that it was a bit draggy and I found myself loosing more and more intrest as the episodes passed by...

Good intentions messed up
This could have been good,, I dare say even really good as the writers do have.a story to tell, I dare say a really interesting and important story to tell but somehow they manage to ruin it with the way the characters are written, a few to many lies. A few to many secrets and a few to many characters I really wanted to shove off the top of a building....The male lead is supposed to be this suoer understanding green flag but by the end of the show he flaunts so many red flaggs I couldn't stand to see him smile.
The female lead is not really that interesting and the most interesting couple character of them all got their story loine all messed up without it actually addning much to the story they at times did a deent time trying to convey.
The writers do a decent job showing how society sucks, and the way one action of rape can affect the people around him as well as the victim when either reporting or not reporting. This drama does not really do much in restoring any ones hope in humanity (even if they try). Basically leaving me with a bitter tasta of everybdy should just shut the f*** up.

A slice of Life is F*** hard
This is less of a romance and more of a slice of life, the people we meet, the people we love, the pain of loss over and over and over and over again...Numbing it all with smiles, alcohol , dance and jokes... Lauging away the pain.
In 8 short. episodes we get to see a whole range of emotions and relationships getting knocked down, getting up again just to get knocked down or doing the knocking down as it is easier than facing some truths.
The cinematography is great, the acting spot on and dialog is top, top. I am not an expert but something tells me that nothing was left for chance. As there is not a single shot, prop or angle that was there as a filler.
This drama is definitely a feel things rather than a feel good type of drama , A meaningful story that sticks out and is sure to be remembered by those who view it.

Sweet and DarK
This was an easy watch, mostly sweet with a bunch of rays of darkness as death keeps hanging in the ait in this life turned in to a game where the protagonist gets an insight to the other peoples feeling about them...The story is okay it has some odd parts, some interesting parts, some that have you thinking... some parts are under developed and come to an end a bit to fast. While one of our male leads is sugar, spice and everything nice the other guy is kind of bland... Having what makes people take pity on him be the most interesting thing about him... he does have a nice smile but I did not really connect with him on any level at all...
The second male lead on the other hand catered to my guilty pleasure bad boy gone cute and gave major SLS... The other characters are also pretty decent , lovable and interesting, except for some bullies but those wer okay written and having them not be so nice kind of goes without saying.
The kind of original plot twist in this drama make me want to rate it higher but the moments of cringe, me not really understanding some stuff and the male leads blandness keep me from upping the score.
So what can I say it was an okay watch, definitely worth watching but not a must watch.

Toxic Yet Enjoyable Cautionary Tale...
This is pretty much what you get when you take one mr timid, and one mr popular and put them in the same spot make them fall in love or lust or what not... In a drama where the assumptions do all the talking. Basically having these two live toghter as a spouses/Slave-Master/Kiddnapper-Kidnapee without actually communicating with each other at all, ever...Letting nes imagination run wild and so on...All surrounded by rain, sunshine, and beautiful umbrellas... Umbrellas that should be red to represent the flags our male lead has but are kind of transparent holographic instead.
That said this was a very entertaining watch, with some fun lines more a record in misunderstanding steamy (pretty much everything) and while I do believe this should be seen as a cautionary tale rather then a romance I did manage to find some good in every single character and even kind of fall in love with mr. timids best friend.

Our vulnerability
This drama wheeled me in and kept my attention so much that before I knew it, it was 1:am, 7 episodes had passed and I didn't really want to let go.... until those two last episodes came in and slightly lowered the score. The story shows fear. loneliness, depression, vulnerability, family, guilt tucked in with social issues, power, and love a drama that shows people with disabilities as actual humans and not just a the disability. And the idea of motherhood and the human behind the title as imperfect and flawed without being a bad mother for that.
There is are so many emotions in this it could have been overwhelming but it is packeted well with raw honesty, suspense, humour. parallels and just enough twists to keep it interesting without making it to complicated. It also shows a different way to being an actual human than many other dramas that portray disabilities. life in general and motherhood.
The balance of holding back, regret, and taking initiative, for who's sake is portrayed really beautifully in this. Not to mention what wearing someone else's haircut will do to set perspective and make you understand things about not only them but yourself as well.
The acting is spot on, the chemistry is definitely there between all the cast and the pacing was good untill they made.a few meeh turns, my pet peeve of past end present in the same frame, cringe and predictable jokes in the last two episodes. this may be one of few dramas with a healing theme to them that I actually enjoyed without rolling my eyes....
