I saw the most hypocrites in my life at MDL. When TharnType was shown, most were enthusiastic, but then a wave…
There does seem to be a bit of a herd mentality and not just here.
While I have no doubts some people do find certain content toxic, there seems to be an army of people who agree with them and I'm never sure if they truly find the content toxic or if they are just afraid to not look 'woke' or whatever else.
I personally am not a fan of TT, I didn't like the relationship but I didn't spend my entire time watching it and then sitting on the MDL boards shitting on it. I actually like the rest of Mames series and I'm already fed up at the fact we are only on week two and I have been overloaded with 'this is toxic, that is toxic' blah, blah, blah.
Even before the series started I cannot count the amount of times I saw the phrase 'It's a Mame series so it'll be toxic', 'it's a mame series so it will be trash' Just watch the damn thing without moaning and judging the writer, and if you feel that strongly about her work than watch something else people.
And I have seen some of the same people calling 'Love in the Air' toxic who love 'Love Mechanics' and praised that series but come on. That first sex scene between Vee and Mark was 100% SA, the guy was so drunk he though Vee was someone else and Vee still slept with him knowing that.
It blows my mind on what people decide on what is toxic and what isn't.
Okay so the 2nd Ep was basically Rain having one big tantrum and I am LIVING for it! He's so naïve and hotheaded…
I think it's a good call you made on the blowing on the neck.
To me I think alot of people may misunderstand the bathroom scene. It's a Dom/sub relationship even if the silly boys haven't spoken about it and clearly our beloved idiot Rain doesn't quite understand what he is entering into.
To me this is a 'punishment' because of the way Rain speaks to Payu. Payu wants him to behave and speak to him with respect. He's blowing on the neck to get the reaction he wants, which he did. Rain subs out and addresses Payu respectfully while agreeing to stop swearing!
If Payu actually was kissing Rain it wouldn't be a punishment, kissing is a reward or actual enjoyable sexual contact. There has to be a line about what is punishment and what isn't. (Although I have no doubt the neck thing will make a reappearance :) )
To me it also made more sense in the slightly longer bathroom scene on iQIYI than the YouTube version. In the longer scene you can see Payu watching Rains reactions and checking his responses. People keep mentioning how Payu is forcing Rain but he's actually watching for signs of discomfort.
Yeah thankfully the shows tone it down, or we wouldn't watch them either :c I'm definitely not interested in reading…
No I think you are right. People just see MAME and then call it problematic but I think they have improved. I actually really liked Don't Say No but saw a lot of people calling Leo and Fiats relationship toxic/problematic but actually they just enjoyed a possessive/Dom relationship. They both enjoyed it, they spoke about it, they continued to speak about it even in the special ep, Leo never separated Fiat from his family or friends etc.
Then we've only had one episode of Love in the air but they called out Rain on his homophobic comments. And people are talking about the Phayu/Rain scene but, and at the risk of people getting touchy on the subject, I actually don't think it's as bad as some people have made out. It's all been from Rains POV but if you take it from Phayu's it really does seem like Rain was coming on to him, then he does stop when it's clear Rain isn't playing hard to get or is just nervous. And while yes he was being a bit of a dick about it he didn't kick Rain out into the night with no way to get home.
I agree, I don't think they will care either. I received a reply from the YT Youku channel after I commented there…
Oh and don't get me started on the finale. It was like 8 to 12 hours long last year. I can't remember the exact length but I did watch a big chunk of it live.
What are they going to do this year. force everyone to stare at their phone screens for 8hrs! I think not

Ah yes I saw your message and the responses they are throwing at people.
It's all the same response ' we are working on big screen functionality', 'sorry for the inconvenience', 'it's underdevelopment'
Like dude if your app is still under development you don't remove other accessibility options and force everyone to it where they can't get what they are paying for you potato.

Although it seems out of order and 1 video is missing so may just want to go to the videos page of the channel
I think quite a few people have asked but I don't think anyones found a link yet, or at least not posted it
I do enjoy a good himbo who gets himself into trouble! Plus add on to that his complete delusion that he's not an idiot and we are on to a winner!
Hopefully eveyone will be good on this board. I don't want to add another comments section to the list of ones to avoid!!! :0
iQIYI has the uncut version. But it seems to be geo locked for some countries. Don't know why.
Otherwise it'll be unofficial sites to view the uncut version.
In episode 2 they cut out a second short kiss after the spanking scene and the bathroom scene is a little shorter.
But I hope not, although I have just left a ranting comment further down so I suppose I'm no better!

I saw an interview with Fort and he mentioned playing someone several years older than he actually is so I guess Prapai and and Payu are mid twenties.
