Well I'm only liking the SoloGui scenes and not much else. Khim is such an annoying character. The writers could have easily given her a bit of character development by making her realise her mistake in the second episode but instead they gave her a half baked romantic subplot.
Having cliches doesn't necessarily mean it's bad, they just need to be executed well and so far this is good. But I'm shipping Fiat and JJ more than the main couple and they aren't even going to end up together.
My theories so far. All my theories are pretty out there, maybe I should stop thinking too much.
1. I think the creators are trying to fool us by making us think that Lee is the young director (mostly because they don't have a single similar feature and the casting directors aren't blind). In fact, when I first found out that there is going to be a younger version of the director I thought Tay or Earth would be perfect for the role so I think Tay is supposed to be the young director.
2. Tay's character is in love or really cares for Namtan's character, but as we saw in the first episode she is with Lee who I think is just using her for some experiment. So maybe this is what makes the director turn evil.
3. Namtan's character is still alive because in the third episode the director tells Pang that he would make more audio files if Pang destroyed the current one, so if the theory about Namtan's voice being the one that is used to awaken a potential is correct then she should still be alive.
4. The leader of the anti gifted is either Nac or Punn or Chanon (if he is alive then he definitely has the most reason to hate the Gifted). Korn and Third seem too obvious, so I don't think it's them.
5. Third's potential is either extracting people's thoughts /memories or reading their minds.
So I just finished the first season and I'm so conflicted about the EarthStud dynamic.
On one hand I want to ship them cause they look so good together and their scenes before the whole mess were really cute. Like Earth is the only person who cares for Stud. Also I think Stud was more jealous for Earth than he was for Sam.
But if he really cared about Earth, he wouldn't do what he did. And I remember him saying that he likes Sam in one episode.
Well I only watched this because the trailer for the second season looked interesting but this was boring and pointless. If all of them just ended their toxic relationships then it would have been over in two episodes. I didn't care for any of the characters or their relationships, except for Boom and Earth. I don't mind flawed characters but there needs to be some character development for them which was just not present here. Also the writing didn't feel cohesive. So many things were introduced that ended up going no where. Hope s2 is better than this mess.
I love OffGun but this series is just not for me. It's boring and frustrating to watch and Khai is such a jerk. Even if he redeems himself, I am still not gonna root for him and what's the point of watching a romance if you can't even ship the characters. Dropped at episode 4. The ost is great though.
I think I liked it even better than the first season, which is saying something because the first season was my absolute favourite. The special scenes at the end of each episode warmed my heart.

Carry on is one of my favourite novel!!
