20, and you should watch it most of us get bored during second half of 1st cp's story but it will get better after…
4th couple start in 20th ep and 5th couple 28th The 3rd and 1st couples' story arent really well done, hence the low ratings and bad reviews when the show first started airing
Ep 4:- jin chen's sudden mood burst feels like a badly written reality show situation. Like, i don't mean to discredit…
yeap, I was actually quite surprised by that few mins of outburst from Jin Chen. But I think I can understand why she felt that way. She felt like she got stepped on just because shes too easy going, no drama, so people kinda take her for granted, like 'oh she wont get angry if put her as last for photo taking'/'she wont get angry if forgot to take her photo'. Jiarui also knew hes in the "wrong" as he kinda forgotten about her after asking to take photo, which further make her feel neglected and unimportant.
The thing that got me confused was why the crew insisted to make them wandering in the dark and rain during the…
Exactly, Im really pissed at the director. The 00 episode when they were at beijing, no reason to schedule a redundant afternoon shoot when they have a night flight to catch after. If it was a short flight, it could be excused, but the whole travelling time was 30hrs iirc, wouldnt it be better for the whole crew to get a good rest in the day. If they wanted to do a teambonding event, they should have done it like Season 5, few days in advance. So on the actual day of the trip, everyone is fresh and ready to go, and not sweaty/exhausted
Same with the stupid wandering in the dark looking for clues, if they wanted to do it, could have put it on following night, and not on the same night when they arrived, where everyone is exhausted as hell and suffering from jet lag
As for Chen Hao, as I continue watching, Im beginning to like her, at the beginning, she was really nagging too much with not much action, Yu Tong and Ancy in one of the earlier interviews at Easter Land, actually called her out without naming her, and I think Chen Hao sense it, since after that she was much better. Also the way she took care of sick Victoria, very wholesome
Now the person that I don't really like is Zi Shan, I dont know why but his unending OKKKKKs just sounds so perfunctory and really gets on my nerves for some reason.
No, some episodes are split into 2 parts, so the total episode count will definitely be in double digits. As of now, there are already 8 episodes in their youtube playlist, and they are just finishing the chile trip
This FL got on every once of my nerves. She repeatedly ran off alone and needed to be rescued. All while knowing…
Exactly, especially after we saw how badass she was in first 2 ep... They turn her into a stupid damnsel-in-distress every once in awhile, just so the MLs in the drama could save her
Im only on ep 1 and im gonna be honest but i find chen hao a little annoying
The problem is she keeps bringing up her past travel experiences, yet made the rookie mistake of overweight luggage lol. I also dont like how she keep trying to give 'advice', but no action done on her part. In contrast, notice how the rest talks but also having some action to go with it, like checking the tourbook, helping with coordinating with the local guides, managing finances
Since we are still barely into the chile trip, theres alot more ep to come, hopefully she gets better
lmao, the same actress played 2 different unrelated roles, and they thought we wouldnt notice haha The same actress played both FL's stepmom and Dongling's Emperor lol
hey guys, do I need to watch the prequel Ultimate Note to understand this? Or can I just jump right into this? I have never watch any of the Lost Tombs drama.
If you want a real badass FL, who just bitchslap everyone in her way, even the ML, watch this. FL is not just booksmart, shes super streetsmart as well, shes casually outsmarting everyone lol
Half way into season 2, and it's still as good as season 1, though the cases in season 1 were more interesting…
Xue Huan only guest actor this season, just like the Princess and ex-Crown Prince He only appear in the last case from ep36 onwards. But then he barely do anything as well, not sure whats the purpose of suddenly stuffing him back into the team
- Less of the political shenanigans in this season (The political stuffs only appear in the first case of this season) - 5 of them are solving cases together as a team compared to S1, where sometimes they are split up and some main characters barely get screentime in some cases. Not to mention, Ying Tao only join the team in ep26 of S1 - The FLs are more important in this season. PXJ didnt just do drawings only, like she did in S1. In S2, she goes out with the team to investigate and sometimes help to interrogate suspects as well. Ying Tao wasnt just a protector of SWM like in S1. She goes out to investigate, interrogate and also helps SWM with postmortem examinations as well
I've been enjoying this so far but stuck on ep 19. Maybe I need some caffeine cus this case/arc doesn't interest…
Actually I recommend to just fast forward to ep24, which is the ending of this arc and the beginning of next arc, I found the Taiyin arc the most boring as well.
Theres 3 more cases after Taiyin (Rhino) arc.
1 of the cases, they actually couldn't solve because its a crime committed by a team of victims (what we see is just MLs' speculation and interpretations from piecing of the clues together) but whether thats the truth, its anyone guess
1 of the cases, they actually couldn't solve because its a crime committed by a team of victims (what we see is just MLs' speculation from piecing of the clues together) but whether thats the truth, its anyone guess, and they kinda leave it at that because the guy who died is a real scumbag and another guy (a serial killer) self-confessed with his own version of the events.
Just binged the 2 seasons back-to-back Prefer the 2nd season because the 5 of them were solving cases together practically throughout the whole show. In this season 1, some characters didnt appear in some episodes, and sometimes they were separated and Ying Tao only joined the team late in epi 26
For future viewers, I implore you to ignore any comments that called the FL(PXJ) annoying in the first few episodes. First thing first, she BARELY have any screentime in the first 4-5 episodes. And her outbursts in those episodes is very reasonable, because she had mistakenly believe her love had die on the battlefield, so she wanna suicide to join him. Her actions is only within her own family with her father, it didnt affect the case at all.
In fact, the ML was the real annoying character early on with his self-entitled and riding on high horse attitude.
Hopefully, they dont focus too much on the politics... S2 was slightly better than S1 because the politics between the 2 factions were barely shown other than the first case
I mean, the Princess and ex-Crown Prince (now Emperor) are real people that existed, and we know the outcome. So I hope we can focus more on the case-solving and fictional things
Negatives: - Draggy for the last 8 episodes, exposing of her identity publicly then misunderstanding of ML marriage to his cousin and FL retaliating by publicly looking for husband to marry. The plot is already barely going nowhere for the previous episodes, so addition of misunderstandings is really annoying - Toxic cousin, who kept doing all sorts of things to FL and treating ML like a toy, shes entitled to have - Plot armour 'main' villain, hes so overly powerful, he can send assassins in broad daylight, publicly disrespect princes and the emperor with no repercussions. The main leads got slaughtered god knows how many times by him - And suddenly this overly powerful villain, just die like this in the end by another side character who just appeared for few mins, and become the main villain...shyt and anti-climactic ending for the villains - Below average acting by the male actors. - Meaningless side characters like the famous painter, the empress dowager and those other princesses - Instead of wasting screentime on the toxic cousin, the villain, boring misunderstandings and filler scenes that lead nowhere, they could have instead showed more scenes of the 2nd leads, the 3rd leads and also the stupid prince with his 4 female assistants. - They should have the stupid prince form a harem with his 4 female assistants. Its very obvious even though they are sometimes annoyed by his weird antics, they do really care for him, comforting and listening to him when hes down. Instead, the show decided to do an amnesia plot on the toxic cousin and try to force a loveline between her and the stupid prince at the end, wtf
Positives: - Starting few episodes were really fun, the way they keep bickering and kept dying - No rushed or last min HE, we see them in the tribes having kids and enjoying their lives together with the 2nd leads and also their maid/assistant - Really gorgeous FL and 2FL. People were saying the ML looks too chubby, but I thought he looks cute and certainly a good deviation from the usual pale white skinny frail looking MLs we usually see
PS. not sure if anyone noticed, but alot of the bgm tunes were from the 'Marry Me' drama
For me , the Zornia case was dragged for too long I mean, I’ve seen dramas with more complicated and deeply…
Agreed, the Zornia plot is just too razor thin, many episodes were basically fillers with nothing happening. You could have skipped 1 or 2 full episodes here and there, and never miss a thing
Extremely disappointed at the 6 leads, they have 3 smart people(ML/Suoluo/LRQ) 4 fighters (ML/FL/SBL/TSE) and a healer (FL) Not only did they not uncover minister pei as mastermind, they didnt even have a modicum of suspicion towards him. Near the end they were still going to him for help, gosh.
Then the showdown was so anti-climactic, at the end minister pei outed himself and was caught easily by ML. We got no trial or confrontation between the emperor and pei, just an exposition that he got executed, like what?!?! 40 episodes just for the mastermind to die just like that. And they decided to drag the ending also, by making the FL run away for 1 episode

Hope the PD start to realise, that the casts makes the trip fun, not the destination.
The Indonesia/France trip was really hard to watch with people like Zhang Kai Li and Ning Jing
