The director wanted a SE while the screenwriter believed in HE. The visual metaphors in the last episode give me a hard time interpreting which one is real and which one is a dream. The very last scene with her waking up to him putting his sword back like the beginning of the first episode again also implied that it can be a loop. Imagine waking up to every loop and experiencing your pains again and again. Omfg- it's torturing to think about it. ;-;

Also, Xiao Nian and Wu Ming had a daughter together, yes!!!! DX

Ugh my god- so many choices provided, I don't know which ending to choose from. ;-; God damn bro... now this won't leave my head for a while.

I was really surprised that Xiao Nian and Wu Ming appeared in this drama too!!! Like bro!! Fan service, while also sprinkling things into your universe!!! I legit was so shocked to the point of covering my mouth the whole time when they were first shown. hahhahahah

Same!!! I enjoyed this season more than the rest too. It ended up becoming one of my favorite Jdrama series. And yeah, like the writer kinda put her aside since they have to give more action to Chagum lol. ;-; At least she was actually the one who beat Raul's ass and put him in his place a bit at the end. Balsa and Hyugo, there's this tension between them whenever they're in the same frame lol, like you never knew what would happen, and feel this constant time-ticking bomb that would explode on screen between them hahhahaha.

As for keeping Logsam alive, I think they wanted to combine the character of Jiguro's younger brother and also bring back the villian that killed Balsa's father in the first place. Idk if that's the right choice too, but he had convincing enough reasons as a villian (at least for me.) But his ending was too abrupted. Like he just turned into a spirit just like that after all of what he had done? lol!! I remember reading the drama notes, Jiguro's brother actually went crazy/lost his mind in the end?

Ohh noice!!! Yeah, Balsa going around and becoming a mother figure to every kid out there. While watching I suddenly have a thought "Wow, she's going around the continent collecting kids (as in meeting and protecting them) like it's Pokemon. XD" (Even though I've never played one. But the term seems to fit the context lol)

Ahh I'm glad that you did enjoy watching it in the end coming as an anime watcher.

2. Why did Sanada tell Matsudaira about the existence of the Country when it was supposed to be a secret? He insisted too much?
3. What's up Asahi? He's supposed to be an Osaka Country's people too right? But what does he want lol? Bro always has this big smile on his face like he's planning sth big. Why does he have to be half-french too lmao? I don't feel like it's adding anything much to his character.

Alright, Fine!!! I'll go into it with my limited Japanese and Chinese since I can't find the EngSub. Bruh I downloaded the sub on Subscene and planned to screen record the movie and put them together in CapCut. The English sub on Subscene is French in disguise. WTF!!?!! DX My god!!

In the movie, they used OJO Foundation, but the synopsis used H.R.H. Foundation. Yeah, a nice alternative. Btw, Glowing Red Osaka Castle is so ominous. Chako looks like a female and younger version of Yamazaki Kento-san lol.

This has many plot holes like the others said indeed. Honnouji Hotel by the same production team is much more enjoyable and consistent. They used the font title. They also share the same, credits format with photos being shown in black and white.

Ahhh!! The water fall is the same water fall they filmed Seirei no Moribito. That's why it looked so familiar lol.

I think they changed it because it's also a plot point for Balsa to return to the Kambal Kingdom and that also allows Chagum to have character development and grow as a King. He can also form an alliance with the Kambal Kingdom to defend his kingdom from the Talsh Kingdom. And of course, for them to reunited and meet each other again.

Ahh!! Yes, the drama followed the novels but changed the order of the events. The Guardian of the Darkness is supposed to be the sequel to the story of S1. They adapted two novels into one in this season. That's why we see Balsa's and Chagum's separate journeys. It's the built-up for the 3rd season when they finally meet and travel together again. The two novels are Guardian of the God and The Traveler of the Indigo Road. Not all novels focus on Balsa and Chagum either. Guardian of the Dream focuses on Tanda and Torogai.
