Exactly!! I would really have to dig deep to the depths of my soul for clarity as to what to do with my boyfriend…
Ah ok, that's really interesting :) thanks for sharing this with us. Bc at least Charlie in the show didn't seem to hate himself. He was kinda bummed, but that was all. I mean he even asked if Babe is sad at all. Thought someone must've hit him on the head really hard o screen, bc what kind of question was that after everything so far 😅 but Pooh's rather emotionless-ish acting every now and then sure didn't help to make this moment make sense.
But then again...I'm definitely not Charlie's biggest fan to begin with. Not getting warm with that character (part bc of Charlie, part bc of Pooh acting him out).
Guess I should give the novel a try to change that!?
And not wanting to sound like a monster, bc of course in real life I'd hope that for him and be over the moon, but in terms of messages & feelings of a fictional show, I'd kinda prefered it, had he stayed blind.
Also in terms of rewatching. All this big emotional moments ... yes of course stay emotional, but also lose some part of it, bc now we know "ah, just be patient, it'll all be good in the end".
Maybe it's just me, but if my boyfriend would've put me through something like that? No idea how I'd ever forgive that. No matter the reason. Must've been worse than dying for Babe.
I’d use the same words to describe “ Sign”🤷♀️ But I don’t go to their comment section and write…
Kind of get what you mean, but at the same time since he/she wasn't insulting or slandering anyone or anything and just stating an opinion about a show they're watching, it's totally valid. Just annoying to read when you on the other hand are totally hyped about the thing they don't hype :D
To those who are saying things like “people break up all the time just chill” - are you all alright? maybe…
Agreed. 100% agreed. It's such a clichee way of unnecessary break-ups. In Thai dramas especially. The issue itself as well as the outcome. And with all the issues they had - this makes even less sense.
It's like with 2nd seasons. I'm always happy when a good show gets a 2nd season, but soooo many times it contains a break-up that is totally unnecessary (& let characters break character just to cause said drama). As if they think couples who communicate & handle problems together and god forbit grow stronger bc of it, are boring. No, they're not. It's the best thing to witness.
The show is amazing, so this is a bit of a let down!? But of course it doesn't change the fact that it's still a very good show, I just would've thought they'd do better than this with the drama at the end. So yeah, wasted potential.
After everything they've been through... they break up over something like this?? Mhok's confused face mirrored mine x) But other than him I added annoyance to the mix not heartbreak.
Day, love, even tho I kinda understand why and where you're coming from... that's stupid (but a classic go-to in romance dramas I guess -.- ).
When I seen the you tube comments,i was really happy. Because of positive response...but here all are negative....especially…
Remember the rescue scene (just to name the latest example)?! That was rather hard to watch, the lack of energy on every level was crazy. So anticlimactic. Like he was breaking up a fight between to kittens xD
He does well in calm moments, yes, which is why I think he'd be great in a sweet slice of life drama for now and will eventually get to master shows with more complex plots, but for now...
And the constant defence/apology with "he's new" also isn't something an actor would like to hear, bc it's just a nice way of saying "he actually isn't that good (for now!)" and it probably also wasn't something the producers were aiming for.
This show is too overrated in my eyes. Like 7.8 for what🙄
Kinda agreed. The plot is decent. Pavel amazing! But my mayor issue is Pooh as Charlie. The role was way too early for him. He lacks so much energy, that many scenes are hard to watch. So the show had plenty of potential, and I'm still trying, but I feel like it's getting worse, not better.
The only problem is... next to him Pooh's lack of decent acting skills is so clear to see. This rescue scene was…
I don't think having people say "well, it's his first time" or "he's a freshman" or "he WILL evetually improve" is what shows are or should be aiming for though.
He might've been well off in a fluffy slice of life drama, but this show with such a heavy plot was too much for him. I don't doubt that he tried his best, but that unfortunately wasn't enough. And at least I can't enjoy the show as much as I'd love too because of it. And apparently I'm not the only one. And that's really unfortuante.
And no, it's not disrespect if someone points out that he IS in fact still lacking acting skills. It's a fact. He'll get there. Probably. But this show simply was too early for him.
The drama itself is amazing, so are the actors & characters. EXCEPT for that sister. Serious question: Is she mentally ill? Her constant whining is unbearble. I even jump through some actually good scenes, bc she's also in it and driving me literally insane!
im glad Pavel is shining in this serie, a talented actor like him deserve to be in more series 👏👏💖
The only problem is... next to him Pooh's lack of decent acting skills is so clear to see. This rescue scene was horrible. I acted more emotional when UPS drove off with my package x) buts srsly, that's such a massive bummer :(
That was such a cingy rescue scene. Where was the anger? The feelings? The emotions? I know Pooh's acting skills are in no way on the same level as Pavel's, but seriously... couldn't they shoot that scene again?! I acted angrier when my sister ate my last christmas chocolate 😅 Ah it could've been so good :/
It can bother you or anyone, that's okay. But I would say Pooh's start with a drama and intense series like this…
Yaaah, sorry x) I for one really hope Pavel gets a new partner. At the very least until Pooh caught up to him. Whatever one thinks of Poohs acting, the difference between those two is too big for Pooh's good, since it highlightens his inexperience a lot.
Again, glad you enjoy it & please keep doing so, but to me the whole show is like wasted potential (I know sounds hard, but it could've been close-ish to a KinnPorsche level... but not like this).
I'm amazed how good Pavel's acting has gotten! It's my first time seeing Nut act and he also plays his complex…
Just wished Pooh's acting would also improve. There's a constant lack of energy in my eyes. Like the rescue scene. Yell at Way and don't almost softly call his name. Move with more intent. There could've been such a breathtaking moment, but it ended a little on the cringe side :( Too me he'd be perfect in a fluffy slice of life drama, not in a show with such a plot.
It can bother you or anyone, that's okay. But I would say Pooh's start with a drama and intense series like this…
Nono, glad you do enjoy it. Really. It just reads like you miss my point a little. I get he's inexperienced, I do, but so is Pavel and he's doing excellent. But that is also beside the point, bc everyone is different.
I just don't think it should be our go-to to find excuses or let's say explanations when an actor isn't really good (...yet or "nor yet"), bc ultimately that means the project was too big for him or her at this point of their career.
Moments like when Charlie saved Babe just make it so painfully obvious to me that that's the case. The moment could've been so good (like when Kinn saved Porsche from Vegas - chills!), but even the way "Charlie" called Way doesn't really sound like yelling, more like a soft call. Which takes so much from the intense moment and that's such a bummer, since you can easily picture how good it could've been! But alas...
BUT since it's decent enough, like you said, to make you happy, that's good and I'm glad you can fully enjoy it :)
It can bother you or anyone, that's okay. But I would say Pooh's start with a drama and intense series like this…
Of course it's a challenge. Every show always is. But in this case it didn't work out :/ the challenge was too much for him or came too early, so to speak. And also no, the issue really isn't his young look (though it sure doesn't help either).
I know unpopular opinion and a lot of you will feel the need to jump in to defend him, but Pooh's acting's still pulling me out of the story.
Yes, he's young, yes, it's his first big series, yes, there's plenty of time left too improve for future projects, for sure, but also no, I don't mean Charlie's quirky, nerdy, "insecure" side of his personality, I can differentiate between the role & the acting skills and Pooh's aren't really there yet (especially next to Pavel, who's acting is so good!). I think they'd be ideal for a very fluffy, sweet story, but not for a plot like Pit Babe.
I'm honestly glad if you disagree, bc that means you can fully enjoy every scene with him, but it keeps bothering ME. Also yes, I could just stop watching, but the plot itself & the other actor's are great and keep me invested.
Maybe it would somewhat be good (the plot - tho def. not perfect - is really exciting!!), but most of their acting (esp. Guy/Ping's) was soooo cringy and it all is done so low budget that I can't take it serious. (The acting might improve over time, they're still young - another issue. Such plots simply work better with older looking guys for me).
But then again...I'm definitely not Charlie's biggest fan to begin with. Not getting warm with that character (part bc of Charlie, part bc of Pooh acting him out).
Guess I should give the novel a try to change that!?

And would add the king of BL "KinnPorsche" ^^
