I see your point, but I didn't find them annoying because they were morally grey, but I've found their personalities annoying. That said, I liked the side characters a lot. But this is just my opinion and my taste.

Haven't read the book, but I was planning to before watching the movie. I can't say for sure for this one, but usually books are better than their movies.

(which I don't think there'll be another season), Idol: The Coup, L.U.C.A., Mad for each other, Move To Heaven, Nevertheless, Navillera, Scripting your destiny, The Witch Diner, Work Later Drink Now, Yumi's Cells (though there will be another season) and Happiness.

Yes, sometimes 16 episodes is just too long, fortunately nowadays there are dramas that are 12 or even 10 episodes long
