Well done on hosting Mr Filipina’s Solo!!! You did so well. Brilliant diction and wonderful energy as usual. Fantastic to see you get more opportunities!! Go Solo!!!!
The end was crap… massive build up to what could have been an awesome twist. But nothing. I loved Solo, the effort that man put in to really making something out of the show is actually quite admirable. I think Aki checked out with the bad reviews but came good at the end. A few squandered moments. The director and driver match up. The cake boss love rival, the kiss, the twist at the end. Looking forward to the next series and hoping that the good build they had going toward the end of this one, is a jumping point. Kudos to Solo and Aki, they both totally carried the series, once Aki built that trust in Solo, they became a true BL partnership.
This show was hilarious, laughed enjoyed the whole thing. Loved the lean into the hot bods, but have to admit I got myself a major crush on The character Cole… dude could just smile at me and I’d be his.
New fan of Boat here, good bloody actor and sexy asf! Big fan of Golden Blood, and started watching his merman show (ones I can find with subs). I like that he takes his work seriously and still has a sense of humour about it. Really came through in the behind the scenes. Hope to see him in more BL or anything in the future.
Wow reading some of the other comments, lol. I loved this show. I don’t actually know Gun as an actor but he was ok, loved Boat (definite new crush there) and the Pitch and Bank couple were cute asf! I’ve watched it a couple of times now and plan to again.

I completely agree with everything you say. In fact I think that’s why Aki is so good, because it is hard in the industry, but I think it can be tiring. My angle is more along the line of. The original MTL concept was great, but it was a freaking mess from episode 1. The show recieved A Lot of criticism and responded. The first season was a tester which ended up being a dumpster fire. I think Aki has taken it to heart! But the show has responded, they are fixing it, and it’s getting better and better. Aki needs to just relax now. I always love Aki, but he’s got a good partner in Solo. He needs to not stress about the comments and just have fun with Solo while the production team can worry about the rest. People are always going to want to replicate MyDay, and that’s just not going to happen. I’m more than happy with what this show is becoming and if they keep fixing it as they go. I’m hoping we will get a really good episode or 2 before the finale. They need to ditch the second couple story line with the two women or use that footage to make another show, because it still just makes the whole story disjointed and not flow properly. But you can tell they are filming and fixing right up until the show goes to streaming. Good on all of them for fighting as hard as they have for the show😊👍

I think it’s more complicated, I think Martin actually really likes Ethon and has since the beginning. I feel like all of this was a way for him to get close. I feel Martin will do right by Ethon in the end. I think Ethon was being very self centred when he walked I. And slapped Martin without looking at the whole situation. However in saying all of the above, I actually believe they are making the story up as they go along. Lol, it’s great though. I come back every week! OMG I loved Myday and Sir Sky and Ace!!! That was too cute! I love Aki, don’t get me wrong. I just think it reads all over his face that this has been a hard show. He’s still brilliant. But at the moment Soli is slightly outshining him. Again I love Aki, but im going to be realistic about it🤷🏼♂️❤️

Yes I watched it, and I liked his character. Story was horrendous and messy and chemistry was not there at all. Worth the wait is much better especially the last 2 eps.
Update to my previous comment. Solo brings depth and range to very 1 dimensional characters. He is Zany and can do slapstick, joyful and can do hope, emotional and portrays sadness and despair, he can make you feel . His range is incredible for someone so young. His charisma has the ability to take nothing and make it something. Hoping this is the start of a very bright future for Solo. Looking forward to completing Worth the Wait and checking out his new upcoming project.
Episode 6 suffered from bad audio and a big problem with subtitles… but you expect that? Kinda just roll with it these days. Ok the story is getting better. I rave about Solo all the time but he really is the heart of the show. Ethon is just a self centred douche that doesn’t read a room at all. I love the range Solo gives to Martin he brings depth to otherwise dull story lines. Aki, I don’t know man… your in your head or tired, and it’s starting to show. Again lean into Solo, he’s got you, and you got this. This has become my secret indulgence of the week, looking forward to next ep… with all the expected flaws🤷🏼♂️😊
Episode 5 was great, thoroughly enjoying the new tighter story, new character at the end was a welcome addition and instead of detracting from the story added a good edge to it. Aki I feel is maybe nervous? Needs too loosen up a bit, I think the criticism may have got to him, but he needs to relax and lean into Solo. Which brings me to the brilliance of Solo, the man is working his butt off he is able to go from Zany and loving in one moment to thoughtful and dramatic the next. I do feel they are focussing him more into the main role, but I’m not having an issue with this. I actually can’t wait for next episode! It’s taken a while, but these guys are saving this burning car wreck and turning into something pretty enjoyable😊
I liked this episode, story was a bit more together, they finally made Ethon/Aki kinda likeable. Martin/Solo is still the main actor carrying the show, the man has total charisma!
This dude is saving My Toxic Lover, Solo has so much charisma and natural magnetism. Brilliant at bringing life and depth to the scenes he’s in. Can’t wait to see him in something well scripted and well produced.
It’s good I really like episode 1, episode 2 I feel altmedia was a bit too much. I get the backstory, but dude is as true loves kiss says such a prick🤷🏼♂️
The guy that plays Martin is working his butt off carrying the show at the moment. I hope a lot of good comes his way. Story is still blah. Some of the side characters are just not useful and totally annoying. Better, but as I say only cause of the charisma of one man🤷🏼♂️
