Enjoyable Fun watch and Interesting too !!!
I've read the novel but still will analyze the drama in its own way.Plot: The plot of this drama is finely written but it required more attention and more emphasis on story development. Like over the period of 40 episodes the amount of knowledge and revelations are only a handful. None of the plot twists surprises you the most and does not leave a long-lasting impact on you. But it's never boring or slow-paced, the story progresses pretty fast and also has elements like humor, friendship, squad goals, etc.
Acting: I would all the actors were amazing in their given roles. They were the main strength of the drama who carried the drama throughout. Especially Xiao Zhan did it so well, portraying the right amount of expressions and emotions in the given scenes. Characters like Dai Mu Bai, Ou si Ke, Ma Hong Jun, etc have a special place in my heart. You'll get attached to each one of them.
CGI and Music: The CGI was top-notch, all the graphics including the action sequences were so much fun to watch, some even brought me to the edge of my seat. It was definitely mindblowing. The music was my biggest worry as it did not even suit the situation which was going on. The flute music still irritated me a lot.
My biggest conscience was I expected a lot from Tang San's character but we did not see much of his abilities and power being utilized, moreover did not feel his character was much developed in any manner, I feel they might have planned it to focus on season 2. Still, we've got a long journey to go as there are still many issues to be settled, many things to be unveiled.
Season 1 was a fun one-time watch. Do not expect anything just watch for the experience the drama gives.

A Majestic and Gripping Journey
As an avid fan of intelligent, intricately woven revenge dramas like Nirvana in Fire and Joy of Life, I’m always on the lookout for something that can match their depth and storytelling brilliance. After Blossoms last year, I had been eagerly waiting for a drama that could fill that void. Being a long-time admirer of Xiao Zhan, this particular series had been on my radar from the moment the first teaser dropped. The posters, the tone, the ensemble cast—all pointed towards something promising. And now that I’ve watched it, I would say, It was a nice drama but had potential to be so much more.THE GOOD
This drama completely pulled me in. It strikes a perfect balance between clever storytelling and emotional depth. What really stood out was the focus on the Imperial Astronomical Bureau—a refreshing and mysterious setting I’ve rarely seen explored in historical dramas. The revenge arc is so well done—full of twists, secrets, and suspense that keeps you guessing. I actually liked that the romance was understated; it felt real and added depth without taking over the plot.
Xiao Zhan as Zang Hai is the heart of the show. His journey is powerful, and his performance—especially in Episode 7—is just incredible. You don’t see the actor, you see the character living and breathing. Other characters like the Marquis of Pingjiyin and Cao were also memorable, each growing in unexpected ways. Even the antagonists are written smartly, which makes every confrontation feel intense and earned. The visuals are stunning—some scenes are just pure art—and the pacing never drags. Every episode has purpose
THE NOT SO GOOD PART
The cracks begin to show in the final six episodes. Up until then, the story had introduced us to a sharp, calculated protagonist who felt fully in control—but in the end, that consistency faltered. I was expecting a climax that would be grand, impactful, and emotionally resonant. Instead, what we got felt underwhelming and overly dragged out.
The pacing slowed, the editing lost its tightness, and the once-intelligent plotting gave way to convenient resolutions and reliance on external help or luck—something that didn’t align with Zang Hai’s character as established. It’s not a bad ending, just not the kind of finale that leaves you awestruck or satisfied. When you set the bar so high, the landing needs to match—and here, it didn’t quite stick.
### Final Thoughts
While the ending didn’t quite hit the high notes and dragged a little, the journey was still gripping and emotionally satisfying. Xiao Zhan truly carried the show—his performance as Zang Hai was powerful, nuanced, and one of the biggest highlights. It’s not a flawless drama, but if you’re into well-crafted revenge stories with heart and style, it’s definitely worth the watch.

Definitely Watch it for sure !!!!
Just yesterday I finished this wonderful drama. After The Untamed and Joy Of Life, I was not satisfied with any of the drama I watched which could give me a wonderful drama watching experience but World of Honor gave to me, I completely enjoyed the drama from the starting episode till the end. The plot was cleverly written to avoid censorship and also at the same time giving us "Aww" moments a lot. Every actor was perfect for the role, Zhang Zhehan, and Simon Gong chemistry was top-notch, I really was laughing like an idiot during their cute interactions, also a special mention to actors of Scorpion King and Ye Ba Yi both of them were iconic and have a special place for them in my heart. The music and action scenes were the literal highlight of the drama. There were many plot twists that were unpredictable, and also who can forget the iconic flirting of leads. I wished the CGI could've been better but that did not stop me anywhere. This one is a must-watch according to me. So give it a try for sure.

A Gem in drama. Please watch it !!!!
This is a mini-series available on Youtube, has 8 episodes each of 20-30 minutes, But it's one of the most beautiful series I've watched in my life. I would urge you to watch it as soon as you can.First let's talk about the background and cinematography, Hats off for that. It's so beautiful and mesmerizing. Let it be the tailor shop or any other location, everything is carefully designed and eye-catching.
Next, the story was really well written, It talks about many emotions and situations which we might have faced in our life and also teaches us how to handle it in a mature way. Sometimes sitting down and talking for 5 minutes can solve the problems which might last long for years. Each and every episode were well crafted and the background music was also good.
Lee So Hyuk finally gets a role he deserves and also nailed it perfectly. He is such a great actor who is to be recognized as soon as possible. Also, the mention of the fl and each and every character's acting was on point.
This series is something that will stay in my heart. It gave me so many important life lessons, Some episodes filled my eyes with tears, Made me both sad but also happy at the same time. I hope we get to see short dramas like this in the future.

A Hidden Gem !!!
I am an avid fan of thrillers who is always in search for good drama. I got recommendation in reddit and I decided to watch. OMG it's amazing, first 2 episodes was a little bit slow and confusing and then the drama picks up like a jet. Every episode was made like an art, the investigation part, the characters was all carefully written. It was a unique experience to watch a crime investigation taking place in 80's like when there is not much source to easily get information. Jung Kyung Ho and Park Sung Woong are both my favourite actors and as usual they have nailed their role. Their bromance was really good. And I liked the ending, At first I found it confusing but rewatching the episode again I found to be very unique and happy ending. Please watch this drama, it deserves a lot of love !!!Was this review helpful to you?
An Okay Watch
To be honest.. I really did not like the way the drama turned .. While the starting few episodes were really good but then there were lot amount of plot-holes in the story.. Kim bum acting really stood out in the drama and Lee dong wook too but other than that.. It was just one time watch , The chemistry between the leads really did not contribute, the longing love between them could not be felt anywhere.. The plot twists were the main reason making this drama somewhat better, The villain was strong, All side characters acting were notable. But other than this do not expect anything else. Anyways, It's just a one time watchWas this review helpful to you?

Could've been better !! Would not recommend
I got this as a recommendation from my last post on Reddit. Honestly, I loved the first 20 episodes. We have strong fl for the 1st time and who is rich at the same time. Then calm, hot ml who is caring at the same time. Their chemistry was amazing. Both the lead actors acting was really appreciable. But...First, there was that irritating second lead, but it did not matter to me much like he was okay. Then the childhood meet up which was also ok. But then all of sudden she leaves him for him to follow his dreams like WTF was that. And then the son grows without ml... Excuse me why writers you made it like this... Breaking up is not a solution to all problems. It's more than sitting together and resolving it. I lost my complete interest in it. And also so much screen space for second leads made me skip all the parts of it...Instead you can watch drama like.
Put your head on my shoulder or Love is Sweet.

WATCH IT PLEASE !!!
After The Untamed I barely liked any other historical drama, as it never lived up to my expectations but this one was a Masterpiece. If you're looking for wuxia, this one for you.Plot and story - Honestly, very well written and crafted plot. It was amazing, there were twists and turns at every point of the story. You would never know who is good and evil. You get surprised at each and every episode. The cliffhangers are mindblowing, I loved it.
Characters and acting - Hats off to writers for writing characters with good development as the plot progressed. Like there are many characters but each one of them will be remembered by you. You get attached to them, But you never know who turns out to be what. Xiao Zhan comes later but he blew my mind with his acting and omg the ending twist, he nailed it. Each and every actor were placed perfectly for their role. I loved the lead, mostly the whole cast impressed me a lot. The lead was adorable not too stiff but witty and funny also enjoyable, He carried the whole drama in his hands.
Pace and Other: Fast-paced but maintained its story. Not lengthy conversation neither too much of backstory. It's like a mystery box that is to open gradually. The romance was the cutest part I loved the lead conversation, Like no shit love triangle and all. I was happy how they trusted and supported each other. It has modern-day essence in it too, so was interesting to watch from that aspect.
I am glad I watched it, it was worth each minute. This is not ending but beginning. It has a second season. More mysteries to be revealed, unanswered questions, characters turning point, Problems to be solved. It's a long journey to finally decide who's gonna win the game. I'm excited a lot. It would've been good if they made Legend of fei like this, instead it became a mess. This is what a wuxia drama is. I knew Xiao Zhan would not disappoint me (I loved wolf too). Anyway, let's be patient in this waiting game.

Should be watched by everyone
A thriller that is dark and unpredictable. Slow burn but this really kept me hooked on till the end. It pulled me to the edge of my seat, made me anxious at every turning point. The characters were crazy but every actor put their soul into it to bring the character into life. It just makes you keep on wondering who is right and wrong? what is good and evil?. Some secrets tend to keep as it is but what will happen if it gets revealed?... To find out watch this series.Tip: This series picks up the pace from ep 3-4, Hence have some patience.

100% Worth watching !!!
I am not an avid fan of historical drama but this one hooked up till the end like I finished it in 3 days.Plot : I have to tell one of most cleverly written plot. Like the events change in every episode. The characters are unpredictable like you would never know what's gonna happen next. The Love triangle here was actually fun to watch.
Acting: Rosy Zhao and Ryan Ding have captured my heart. Not only that the entire cast was amazing in their roles. Truly, you will completely get attached with them. They are the main elements of this drama.
Other than that the drama is fast paced like it did not even bore me for a sec. Thankfully the conversation are not lengthier, not much of backstory, Amazing romance between leads. I hope we get to see dramas like this in future.
I assure you, this will steal your hearts for sure !!!

An Overall fun watch
A Chinese crime detective drama is a rare find, but this one proves to be a highly enjoyable watch. If you're a fan of Agatha Christie novels or thrillers with a single murder and multiple suspects, this series will likely captivate you.The Good:
- Exceptional cinematography and perfect lighting: Among the Chinese dramas I've seen, this one stands out for its well-shot scenes and meticulous attention to set design, real-life locations, and costumes.
- Unique storytelling: It's uncommon in Chinese dramaland to encounter a series that addresses multiple intricate social issues, offering a refreshing perspective.
- Well-developed characters: Each character is thoughtfully written, displaying depth and undergoing significant development over time. They are all intriguing with multiple dimensions to their personalities.
- Engaging story and pacing: The drama maintains a suitable pace, ensuring that the plot unfolds seamlessly. The unique storytelling sets it apart, providing a fresh and distinctive experience.
- Strong acting: Angelababy delivers a surprisingly strong performance, embodying her character perfectly. The entire cast contributes to the wonderful performances throughout.
The Underwhelming:
- Plot holes towards the end: The drama suffers from some plot holes, potentially due to restrictions in Chinese dramas. The final showdown climax falls a bit short of expectations.
Despite these shortcomings, the overall experience is thrilling and enjoyable until the very last moment. As a thriller enthusiast, even I found it challenging to anticipate the plot twists and mysteries. It felt like I was on a journey with the detectives, unraveling the story alongside them.

Average Wuxia Drama !! (minor spoilers)
Let me give you an honest review, It all started off nicely for the first 7-8 episodes for me, we are got to see and know some characters, some stories, and full packed action. Next 15 episodes went straight downhill, I skipped most parts we get to see so many characters come and go for no reason. It's so confusing to remember who is who, their names. Like not even a single person stays in your mind. For every character, there is a back story that goes like a long history lesson..And these episodes more than leads the story shifts to side characters. Then next 10(up to 27)episodes were good, the leads developed feelings towards each other, the story was beautiful..but then after ep 42 I again dropped interest, skipped the most, and finally convinced myself to finish it for ZLY and WY as I like both of them. I would not recommend you to watch this...Only you can watch if you're a fan of leadsWas this review helpful to you?
Loved it !!!!!!!
Song Joong Ki is back with a blast movie of all time. I love watching sci-fiction movies and had huge expectations from this and it did not let me down. The Cinematography, CGI, action scenes, and bgm music everything was on point. The acting was extraordinary especially Kim Tae Ri and the child actor both were daebak. The plot was good not the best but kept me hooked up till the end. Some moments in the second half gave me goosebumps and brought me to the edge of my seat. It made me laugh, cry, and felt a bonding with all the characters. The gradual character development of each and glimpse of what they were made us attached more to the movie. SJK as usual stole the show for me. Final thought you can without thinking go for this. It's thrilling and interesting not extraordinary but amazing. Was this review helpful to you?
