Actually I'm not really affected or bothered about what I read in the novel because I assumed that only happen in the novel, and not what will happen happen in the the drama. Luckily we had two good writers and I still trust them to do good job. Including characters development and subtle plotline.

I swear, before I never knew the had this kind of flaws the more I read some chapter the less I became interested in... The made Jibozai character seems strong on the surface but deep down it like Mingyi is the one in control Jibozai. That's why she's label as someone who betwitched Jibozai to do granted every of her request.

I hate that chapters the most in the novel. I mean Jibozai doing everything just to win Mingyi back.. Anyways one thing I admire about Jibozai in the novels is that he aways had his ambition and he didnt abandon it just for Mingyi sake, althought he always granted her request or whatever she asked for. I find it absurd how every novel reader came to expressed their dissatisfaction about Jibozai character on how he treated Mingyi. But like I said earlier, I trust the writers will do the needful to scrap the flaw in the novel. As a reader, even thought I have not read the entire novel, I can only give it 7/10 for the plot and the character development. Like there's no subtle balance in any direction of the story or the character . Jibozai is strong , smart and even more scheming than mingyi when it comes to dealing with the traitor or eliminating his enemies. But he to a child when it's comes to Mingyi and always accepted everything she said softenly..
I understand he was the ones who first used and abondon Mingyi( I don't know if you did read the chapter in the novel) but the price and payed and everything he did just to win Mingyi back was total absurd and ridiculous to me. Making mingyi look innocent like she never done anything in her life. When het journey was almost filled up lies around Jibozai. After all, the suitable word to describes this novel is "social commentary" no subtle plot like what you said earlier.. I was only interested and curious about Jibozai character and his ending that's I only read about his part, which me to not noticing the flaws in the novel.
