I’m really enjoying this drama. The way it uses ink‑wash aesthetics instead of bright colors feels so authentic and intentional. I love the attention to the history of ink‑making and the cultural details woven into the story. It’s another drama that’s teaching me so much about Chinese culture, and it reminds me why I’ve always admired the beauty of traditional Chinese painting. It’s truly stunning.
This is a total hidden gem for me. I love the chemistry between the leads. The age gap is definitely needed and written for this drama, and it works for me.
For Those who are saying Qian Luo is a attention seeker , clingy & what not you people have no idea how amazing…
Can you share the link to the novel? I love the drama and want to read the novel (English version). I think Sikong Qianluo and Xiao Se is perfect together. She knows who see wants and he is more reserve. They will never work if they have the same personality. It would be nice to see Xiao Se give her more attention in S2. She totally deserves it after chasing him in S1.
It's not a proper trailer. It doesn't reveal the plot. Just snippets of the drama.
I do wish she would take a republican one. One of my favorites from her is the Battle of Changsha. I must have watch that like a dozen times. Let's hope both of our wants become a reality.

good for you too and happy you will still support even if you already made it clear you won’t enjoy it. Everyone is definitely entitled to their own opinion. I just love the history and Yang Zi in it just make it that much more entertaining.
