What I would love is for him to see how she is thriving away from him and falling in love with Mr. Ji and happy, happy, happy, while he's stuck at home with a female devil who won't even boil up some porridge for his stomach. I also hope that the baby is colicky and screams all night every night.

You are right. He wants so much to see her succeed because she's a good person and a good employee. He gets overly frustrated by her mistakes because he also has a crush on her, lol, and she does do some stupid shit sometimes. I'm okay with his little blowups, though, because in general they cause her to think and that thinking is helping her evolve.

In one of the episodes we'll see this week, Miyu's sister actually comes to the hotel with her begging bowl. Is she insane? Thankfully, Miyu turns her away. I think karma also bites that front desk girl who is always so rude to her. Little does she know that Miyu will soon be her boss, a fact that the vixen ho hates.

I get why people think JF is showing her favoritism, but she does so well in each job and proves her worth. Plus, he's new there and needs to cultivate his own team of loyalists in that viper's nest.

The scene of JF remembering laying in bed next to her was a nice little surprise. It is interesting to witness how they are one minute so close and the next so awkward with each other.

Agree that episode 19 also was good. I love this little foursome working together to combat the many enemies and dining and wining together and the bourgeoning romantic feelings developing between the main leads.

Duan got his comeuppance, finally, and I hope he is gone for good, but probably not. Love how our foursome anticipated sabotage and stored the meat away from the kitchen. And then the story Miyu shared with Dickhead Duan's guests was wildly good fun. I am now exploring Shanghai cuisine in the Boston because I kind of need that soup.

In upcoming episodes, both Miyu and Ji Feng will be fighting jealousy. Hoping that by Saturday that is resolved and they start working on becoming a formidable couple.

Miyu is also going to get a promotion. Bitches need to be careful about how they talk to her because she has serious backing and is formidable in her own right.

It's so sad how few comments there are here. During Love Between Lines, Shine on Me, Love Story in the 1970s, Speed and Love, Pursuit of Jade, Our Generation, etc., there were this many comments each day and we camped out on MDL.

OMG. Episode 20 was sooooooooooo good!!!

She is so much stronger. And while she's still figuring out some things, she is showing that she knows how to get shit done. In addition to being really intelligent, she is putting all of the interests and skills she developed during her 10 years of housewifery to work. She wasn't just sitting around having afternoon tea or waiting for her lecherous husband to come home so she can serve him, lol.

It's honestly so good that I wish I could just binge all of the episodes at once.

She had the floor covered and Mr. Tan Sr. is an important client whom the chairwoman cares about. And remember his health is very sketchy. Ji Feng was fine when he learned she was helping the old man. It's her interactions with Tan Jr. that he hates.

I also cannot wait till Duan and his minions fall down. He's so childish and petty and I cannot imagine why anyone ever thought it would be a good idea for him to be in control of anything, never mind a hotel.

Somewhere in the Middle East. Ji Feng was managing the hotel and Miyu's husband was there on a business trip during which he cheated with the vixen snake and then vacationed with his wife.

Miyu gets a promotion in episode 22! And 20 and 21 are looking quite fun, too.

The vixen is finally on warning. I am praying she eventually gets fired and finds herself stuck at home with that baby and a husband who is likely losing that loving feeling because she is such a grade A cow. Speaking of feelings, I believe our Mr. Ji is starting to catch some for Miyu. He was seething with jealousy after seeing her interaction with Tan jr.

I really, really, really need to see Duan get his just dues. He is such a petty bitch.
