I don’t know. I see this information too, posted by one of the Diamonds, and this person shares updates every day. The only day when there was no filming was when Deng Wei flew to Shanghai for the Dior event.

There have even been updates saying that, for example, yesterday he was supposed to start filming in the morning, but there was a delay, so he arrived on set a little later. The same account that posts these schedules also shows Deng Wei arriving on set and leaving after filming. So, in this respect, I’m inclined to trust this information.

But I really love Fangs of Fortune, even though things ended sadly for my favorite character there. I hope Si Kuanglan will move me just as much.
By the way, the pronunciation of 为 is different from his real name: in his stage name it has the second tone, while in his real name it has the third tone. For Chinese speakers, that’s a significant difference. For Europeans (I’m from Europe too), not so much. The theory about the moles is interesting, though.

I remember there was talk that, as compensation, Deng Wei would be offered an S+ project without any billing disputes or speculation. And as we can see, that is exactly what happened — he was cast in this project from the very beginning, specifically as the male lead. Now everything depends on the production team and the actors.
