So I heard from the grapevine that they DID plan a whole war scene. They planned bigger things for the last three episodes... But the budget they managed to gather wasn't enough. So they had to scrap those plans.
This is unverified info tho, so don't quote me on this.
Can you spoil the ending in the webtoon for me? I want to read it now that the show is over to fill the void it…
Aaku summed it up perfectly, other than the things Aaku said, I have to add that Chaiyachet basically became a very depressed tyrant after he "killed" Kosol.
So I yeah, I read that there were people who expected a full scale war... Uhm guys... They only have 2 sponsors, a soap company and a phone company. I don't think they could afford shooting a demanding scene like that. 😓
Is this how the book ended. og Worradej moved on. Prince stayed in past. Did his body in future die. Did we ever…
Nah, it ended very bad in the webtoon, Kosol was killed by Chet, Chet became a tyrant King, season 3 of the webtoon was supposed to be set in the future timeline where Future Kosol and reversed timeline Prince was supposed to meet. But Season 3 was never published. A lot of people hated how it all went down.
I know that Nut is going to look so beautiful as a woman, but I'm 100% delighted to see that the Pop and Ping looked very pretty as well, specially Pop!
Also, I'm very curious as to what is going to happen in the final episode. Will Prince still choose to go back after what happened in this EP?
They totally deviated from yeh Webtoon 2 episodes ago. But I can assure you this, no matter what happens in this…
Yeah it would be, but the thing is, Chet is also only 13 in the webtoon, so yeah I don't think most viewers would appreciate seeing a literal child shoot his older brother to death, and then sink to depression and ending up being a tyrant.
How can such a camp and silly and fluffy and ridiculous show simultaneously be so rich and deep and full of philosophy…
This series is really good, It may not be 100% similar to the source material, but it's writing has proven that it can hold it's own. Everyone involved put their heart and soul into it, and it shows. Some people might think that some episodes are slow, but those slow moments are necessary.
And yes, P'Nut and and P'Ping's acting are both very good. P'Nut has proven himself a great actor with every project he has done during his 5 years in the business, and P'Ping is also very good, honestly for someone who's only been acting for two years, P'Ping is doing great!
This is a very good episode. I do understand why they needed to keep things from Jade, but I am happy they didn't drag it too long for him. The poor dude was distraught. I'm glad Chet is quickly making his own wish come true too. He's a child who was forced to be a puppet king, and now he's free from that.
Worradej's wish is slowly coming true as well.
Chet's poor aunty. The face she made during her scene with Somdet, I can feel her discomfort through the screen as Somdet tried kissing her head and neck. 😬
That scene was directed to be funny yes, but it makes you feel very uncomfortable too. But I think that's the whole point. Her position as well as the position of every woman in the palace is uncomfortable(this is an understatement tbh), and they showed that well in that scene.
And it seems that they will use Somdet's lust for women to their advantage.
Overall I'm very excited for the next episode. They are going on a very different direction from the webtoon, and honestly so far I'm happy about that.
