I mean it’s not overly amazing…. Perhaps I was comparing it too much to that similar drama ‘Moving (2023)…
moving is a much more complete and solid superhero story, but this one is hilarious and has the added benefit of having park eun bin. if only she was in moving! but that cast is so good it doesn't really need her.
Incredible. Such a wonderful vibe and flow to this show. I waited so long to watch this because of my fear of potential false hype. It was very very very very good. I feel like I love myself and everyone in my life, especially my parents, more than I ever did before.
They recast Bongseok? Horrible. I was so excited and now I'm deflated. I can't say I won't watch it, there are so many interesting characters, but if the new actor doesn't fit this will be one the biggest kdrama let downs I've ever experienced.
The only over 50 episode drama I've ever watched was My Golden Life. I loved loved it, especially because there were so many episodes. This was DEEP covid times and I was sailing through the series. Just after EP 1 of Empress Ki I can see myself enjoying it all the way to the end, but daymn it's gonna take me a bit to get there.
I love how in this era of shows the characters always rip the batteries out of their phones when they are mad and don't want to talk to anyone. I feel like it happens so many times per episode lol.
The very last scene of this drama is so beautiful. This isn't a perfect show but it has its moments of loveliness.
Is this show worth watching? A 9.3! Does that number truly reflect the quality of the show like how I feel Twinkling Watermelon's 9.2 is truly deserved? For some reason I have stayed away from this one, something about the look, the previews and trailers gave me pause. Should I give it a try?
Throughout the last two episodes I thought "Wow, are they going to literally kill... everyone?" I don't know if I've ever seen that many consecutive supporting character deaths before. I liked this show for a long time but it definitely felt rushed towards the end. Much is left unexplained and I was left unsatisfied.
