I think you are confusing people who are intentionally getting drunk to loosen their inhibitions to hook up and someone who is just out drinking with friends.

As for sexual assaults in the gay community...they happen yeah....but I wouldn't say they are all that 'common' except in the drug/alcohol scene. (Not saying they can't happen outside of intoxication...just much less likely).

In all cases(str8,gay,bi,undecided), people should be cautious about becoming intoxicated/impaired to the point where those things can happen as part of basic safety and should try to only do such things in the company of trusted friends.

I haven't seen the 2nd season...but at the end of the first season... Techno....was raped. There is no question at all.....he went home drunk...and got raped by Kengkla.... there was no question about whether he was sober enough to consent...he was passed out for most of it.
I confess, although I was rooting for Kengkla to get his man...I didn't expect it to be rape....was disappointed by that. (Although the morning after was funny....but Kengkla is still guilty!)

Fuse was the one drunk. But by the time he got to Tee's place he was somewhat less drunk...he wasn't 'falling down drunk' at that point. It's a bit difficult to say where is that dividing line. However, I completely agree that Tee shouldn't have accepted Fuse's consent when he was still somewhat intoxicated....better safe than sorry in my opinion!

But....Fuse was so wishy-washy for the entire first season...to me it felt more like he tried to push most of the blame onto Tee.
Fuse in general seemed to basically be so indecisive in everything it makes it hard hard for me to sympathize with him...especially given what he put Tee through... I always thought that Tee should have found someone better....it was like he was a masochist.

If you want to use an example of a real cut and dried rape though(Also from Make It Right first season) ..... Frame and Book when they first had sex.

Tee responded that he hadn't and asked Fuse if he wanted to....
Fuse responded yes.
It's just that Fuse was still somewhat drunk at the time and didn't remember it completely right away.
The worst Tee was guilty of was having sex with a somewhat drunk person.... but by that time Fuse was actually starting to sober up.
(Having sex with a drunk person is NOT something I would recommend doing personally)

Where do you see time travel in this....the description says his descendants are infected with the curse...and one of them will be fighting it...

In my OPINION, this is also why 'reality stars' have such a difficult time making it as serious actors.

I agree, I saw the video.
As I recall it was unwanted advances...no rape...if there had been rape he should have gone to the police.

If what he said happened then he should have:
* Tried to work it out PRIVATELY
* If he could not, then simply split from him professionally saying something like their career goals didn't match (or similar).

But going on video and making vague accusations was REALLY unprofessional. I suspect that may be the reason he isn't getting acting work (presuming he is even looking for acting work at this point)

If Perth and Mean want to leave BL....then let them, I'm not a fan of either.
I honestly consider the director to be the most consistent and important part of this project. If you think about it....they would have nothing if not for New.

So I'd watch, because of the director. But I won't follow the actors to other Genres....

As for Singto....I'd watch HIM in heterosexual roles....but Singto is amazing.

Liruge and Midia....do either of you speak Thai? (Was the interview in Thai?) Or is everyone basing everything on what was translated?
I do NOT speak Thai, and I haven't seen it, but I've noticed in watching translations that things don't always seem to get translated exactly. And from watching a lot of subtitled shows/dramas (sometimes more than once) I've noticed that if you watch from different translators, the context/meaning can be very subtly different...or vastly different...

So I always try to take it with 'a grain of salt' so to speak and try to confirm things first. Maybe it was more like 'depending on the money when I'm older' ? rather than 'if I need the money when I'm old'?

I agree, he probably simply feels comfortable with Singto since they've worked together before.

Agreed, playing the same role over and over would become tiresome.
And while I've seen some well done BL, I've seen a lot that were definitely just thrown together with a complete lack of plot or decent writing (probably just to cash in on the BL label), and who would want to be associated with low quality productions. I mean, after all, they can't all be as good as Love By Chance, Make It Right, Love Sick, Sotus, He's Coming To Me(ugh, anything with Singto basically! ), Until We Meet Again ....

And yes, typecasting is a problem....for example, if every role someone took was as a bank robber(or insert random profession/role), then pretty soon that's all they would be offered.... in fact, some actors who only play romantic leads end up having a similar problem where they have trouble getting any roles except for romantic comedy/dramas. Just look at the number of 'action stars' who fill the screen for a decade or more start to 'age out' and can't get any roles because they are typecast as 'action heroes'. (Jean Paul Van Damn, Chuck Norris, etc....)

I have not seen the interview that everyone seems to be referencing (I honestly don't care about fan service...), but if he just said he doesn't want to do more BL unless the paycheck was high enough then I could understand that. If he said that it was because it was demeaning to act as a gay character in a show...that would be something I would take issue with.

But people should understand that to keep their fan base (which seems to be primarily female) they have to do all sorts of things to imply that they have a romantic relationship with their co-stars in real life. That's a business all it's own....and how many people would want to effectively 'act' as their character 24/7 ????? That would effectively be giving up your own life!!!!

Yes, a romance between the 2 male leads would have been much more interesting :)
