I just started this drama and I came to see the reviews before I either continue or drop (still haven’t made up mind on which just yet) and your statement mirrors mine completely.
Cdrama viewers have low level tolerance for any FL that doesn’t exist only to please the ML and mind you that is still all within the limited scope of behavior this viewers have created in their minds for FLs
1). She MUST like the ML @ the exact same time or within the timeframe he liked her
2). ML does wrong and apologize, hence the FL MUST forgive the ML, whether she’s ready to forgive or not, is irrelevant and not up to her.
3). She MUST not be too forward, bold, sassy, although they won’t tolerate a complete idiot, she MUST be googly eyed yes sir to the ML.
4). How dare she be too smart, too ruthless, too cold, that characteristic is meant only for MLs

Like you said so many CDramas with super young MLs that have zero world experiences but are called CEOs, prodigy’s, genuines and whatnots, they can do anything, i have so many of those dramas at the top of my head but i will name one “Love me Love my voice” (I did relatively like this drama, the FL is one of my faves and while I don’t mind the ML he’s dramas are not something I seek out to watch) i said in my review that the ML was so perfect he’s shit probably smelled like lavender.
Don’t get me wrong, I loved Prisoner of Beauty, Liu YuNing is my 3rd fave CDrama actor tied with Wang XingYue for 3rd place, anyways I digress but one of the reasons so many people liked that drama is because although the FL is super smart, she was a yes man to the ML, every single wrong done by the ML was forgiven after being angry for 5secs or explained away with her family did his family wrong, yes I acknowledge that he family did his wrong her falling in love with him so fast and excusing all this terrible treatment towards her with the “my family did his family wrong so no matter what he does to me I must endure it and accept it as penance” was just a cop out IMO, while the one wrong done by the FL (which IMO it wasn’t even wrong, she was giving herself and her people a way to survive) she had to suffer before she was forgiven.
Cdrama viewers are so men obsessed that any FL that is not worshiping their precious gege’s the way they do and have the audacity to outshine said gege’s will be in for a whole lot of insults and bashing.
The thing that pisses me off the most is that most of the so called gege’s can’t even act to save their lives.
Lemme stop my rants here because although I still have a lot to say, I am getting too pissed while typing

All she do is win win win no matter what 👏👏👏. After the rain comes the sunshine is the perfect way to describe this drama
What an amazing drama. The friendships, the family, the community.
Wish the ending was a bit better + they made the ML a little weak and indecisive in the middle of the drama when he was anything but that when they were younger, anyways overall I enjoyed the drama a lot. I paused all dramas and watched this in one go.
10/10…. Kudos to the whole cast.

I’m currently on ep9 and this drama should be at a minimum 8.7.
The ratings on this site keeps proving that majority of CDrama watchers are not watching for the plot or for talent.
As long as it’s not a visual overloaded drama with all pretty/handsome people and idol actors/actresses that can’t act worth a dime and have the same facial expressions in all their dramas, the majority of CDrama watchers who seem to share one brain cell can’t seem to understand/appreciate it. Such a shame.
Especially when you have a particular idol actor who can’t act to save his life and having so many highly rated dramas on this site because his fandom are delusional and rate whatever he’s on a 10 and they claim he’s the “greatest actor of all time” because although he can’t move his face at all, he apparently acts with his eyes🙄🙄🙄.Like bffr 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

Some people are just beyond ridiculous.
So many romance dramas out there but no they will go to dramas that has been specifically and explicitly stated NO ROMANCE and whine about wanting romance simply because most of them don’t have the mental capacity to understand and enjoy complex plots where there is no long longing stares and kisses.
Saying it’s too bad that she is his sister is just because the op wants watch romance is simply diabolical.

Being immature and acting like a child are 2 completely different things.
Most 19 year olds would be immature due to the very fact that they have haven’t gained enough world experience so their views, actions and reactions would most likely reflect that but acting like a child, stomping your feet, banging your head on the table is indeed acting like a child.
Is she acting needy, yeah, is that childish or immature behavior, debatable but you tied her being needy to her not have a father figure, so the person who replied you is not taking your words out of context, and don’t act superior by claiming someone doesn’t know the difference between childish behavior and immature behavior because your words clearly implied that 19year olds who grow up without fathers will act all childish and needy, which is such a warped take so don’t backtrack now, own your words, FYI, that’s what a matured person will do.

No law ever stated that anyone can just kill someone by driving them over a cliff as justice, instead you gather your evidence and present them to the police to prosecute said person.
But here we have everyone claiming to be “good” people in their reviews/comments, all clamoring and cheering for Ah Jin to die in a murder/suicide situation, instead of facing justice. She is a sociopath/psychopath, but all you so called “good” people, what is your excuse? But my girl is a survivor and I am sure happy she did not die especially not at the hands of such a useless pathetic character as Jun Seo.
As for Jun Seo, who made him Judge, Jury and executioner? who the hell is he to decide to take Ah Jin’s life? Who gave him that right? Is he the police, is he the court of law, is he the president? Such a pathetic delusional loser simp with a savior complex giving the “I am such a good person so I have to rid the world of the evil Ah Jin” narrative irks me to no end.
Her equally “evil” husband got away Scot free but you don’t see the self righteous mobs with their vitriol, why you may ask? because he’s a man but Ah Jin is a woman who did not give 2 shits about their precious Oppas. How dare a woman treat people like that, especially such handsome men😔😔😔
You all can keep crying🤣🤣. My girl survived🫢🫢. Hopefully there is a season 2 and she comes back and takes down her husband 💪💪

Just started this drama after putting it off for so long.
I can clearly see why it has an 8.9 rating. I literally haven’t stopped laughing and I am still in ep1.

Finally finished the drama.
Between I and Gong Jun is absolute Love.
You portrayed Su Muyu to perfection. The internal struggles to be good and out in the light but still being a trained assassin, basically the fight between nature and nurture was portrayed so effortlessly and effectively. I am so very proud of you my darling Gong Jun and happy for you on another successful drama. You deserve everything good.
Can’t wait for Blade of Vengeance to air.
I didn’t like Chang Hua Sen in A journey to love but he has absolutely blown me away in this drama. He’s portrayal of Chang He was perfection and I was loving for every moment he graced the screen.
Also kudos and congrats to all the cast and crew.
I didn’t care one bit for Bai He Huai, I ⏩ some of her parts.
Boy am I glad with the ending of that smug looking 1st Prince.
Didn’t like the Emperor in The Blood of Youth and after watching this, his whole guilty conscience speech and demeanor to Xiao Se and Xiao Ruofeng’s son means even less 😔😔.
Hopefully we get season 2 of both The Blood of Youth and Blood River.
I dropped dashing youth half way, I just didn’t care for young Baili Dongjun but my fave characters from the 3 dramas

I badly wanted to put Su Muyu first as I loved the character and I’m a Gong Jun Stan/fan but unfortunately the place Xiao Se has in my heart is under lock and key. I have rewatched The Blood of Youth 10times just to watch Xiao Se be Xiao Se 🙈🙈🙈

The best couple in CDramaLand is Zhou Fang and Song Lin.
I have rewatched that drama like 15 times. I rewatch twice a year sometimes, I am not even kidding.
