I am at episode 26 and the main couples are still not together yet. Thank God I fast forwarded it before watching…
Yeah, I really wanted to like that but it keeps on dragging dragging dragging.... *zzzzzzz*. They are adults and that is no coming of age drama. Silly story in ridiculous way. Even the actors can’t save it.
1. Too much alike the Korean version. 2. Acting and directing unfortunately is lacking compared. It feels more like a B-movie series. 3. I really like the heroine who is more spunky but also more immature. Actress looks way younger than she is. The ML actor even looks as old like FL actress what everything makes everything feeling off.
Finally that show gave me a red string and bit of seriousness like the premise would need. The switch was a bit sudden but at least I have something I connect to. It would be such a waste of good actors otherwise.
Havent started this one yet, so it is in the same quality as my mister, signal, prison playbook etc even if the…
How can that be the same when it is an entire different genre? It is also a Youth Drama, so even though the acting is good, the actors are far from seasoned actors in the series you mentioned. You are wanting a pear being an apple. Both are delicious but if you only want a different apple and get a pear, you will be dissapointed.
I think Writer is a symbolizing of God who decided our destiny Some ppl hold enough guts to go against their destiny,…
I rather think someone changed the story and I think it was our Blondie since he is so against it DO changing her storyline. And is afraid of the holes. So proably HR is remembering their original storyline. Or it is even more tragic and the story was changed for DO because HR died before.
My mind is going crazy for all the possibilities. Finally some KDrama again I can't see through from first minute without being a Thriller. Just the tragic foreshadowing is disturbing me a bit.
I have the feeling that those blackglinstery things are either 'plotholes' or a way to another manwha univere.…
I feel like he changed the story completely before for someone and DO is proably getting back her stage. Or he was an extra in a situation like HR before. But then it won't make sense why he bothered so much with even the tiniest changes and those holes.
I like that one very much but why I feel that will turn into an absolute tearjerker? I don't want another Red Shirts novel. But I can't stay away from it either.
First impression on this drama: a total let down. I was expecting so much more from Ji Chang Wook's first project…
Sorry but Abyss was rather good compared to this. I will wait another weekend and if it stays like that I will drop it. That show can’t decide if it is a comedy or serious. It is „too loud“. Where is the story?
I apologize to the writer of the article, really, but I am surprised at the choice of the two dramas that are…
I think the series choosen are better for a bigger audience instead what you have choosen. The series are good but also quite heavy and not the best idea for beginners. I agree with you choosing some series from the best times but for younger audience it could be a bit weird since the world changed a lot since then (especially 2004).
When K-Drama starts to focus more on good scripts again instead of copying foreign styles and series in bad way and giving us dystopian shit then I gladly will accept them again. They are still on my watchlist and I always find a few Dramas each year I like but not more. Even the rather special Japanese Drama had more for me than Korea last 2 years.
The Male looks old? I think this in the eyes of the beholder. For me it is rather finally having an actor who is an adult and hot. All those young actors always giving me the "Is he even legal?" vibe. A few with this boyish charme is okay but it gets old after a while. I confess I prefer his contemporary looks but that is because he is sex on legs then and he was quite tamed down in this drama. But that is okay since otherwise I wouldn't have noticed the good story.
Is XZL's voice dubbed? I watched some interviews he did and I think the voice sounded the same but I'm not really…
No, not in this Drama but in these before and I’m asking myself now why. Probably he has an accent we can’t notice. BL’s voice is very nice but it looks like Chinese directors/producers prefer higher and more innocent voices. I really like when she is laughing for real in her BTS.
Nice Drama but all the OTP love stories are too dragging and overdramatized. Adored YQ. She is a honest, strong and badass character.
Great plus no dubbing. I really like BL’s slightly nasal and strong voice. Refreshing but I understand why she got dubbed in other series. Why XZL’s voice was dubbed before is beneath me. He has a well balanced and very fitting voice. If dubbing is needed next time they should let him dub himself.
I adore Alien Girlfriend but Frog Prince & Last dance I liked too when it aired (I feel old). Even though HYD had amnesia it was so short that it doesn't count for me. I really loved how different the actor portraited his character. His entire body language and eyes reflected cruelty and at the next moment the heroine was his all. Wow!
The Drama is often called a remake of My Love from the Star but for me that couldn't be more far from the truth. There are similarities but they are so common you can say every 2nd C-Drama is a remake of a C-Drama before. The ML is not even a common Alien but an Non-Human God since his ability (starbrush) is envied even from his own people. I really liked that the reborn heroine looked different in her life now.
The evil guy is nowhere alike "his original". He is so in love with the FL that it literal drives him crazy. I never felt so sorry for a character before. He never had the chance because the ML changed FL's destiny. He is the typical cold and shady guy who gets turned good and decent by heroine in many Dramas and Webnovels. The 2nd ML was just adorable but you know instantly why he never had a chance. His sacrifice at the end ist beautiful but also sad since he couldn't let go without it. I would have liked that more since it would have made the love he has for his lover more honest. I really liked the actor who portraited him very well.
I really liked the ending even when they shouldn't have left it that open. All the changed destiny strings are gone now. The heroine has a chance to finally find her true other half.
3rd Couple storyline is just adorable. I really liked them very much. They were so perfect for each other and took a bit off the Makjang aura of the entire series.
Unfortunately JW & ZT for me had absolutely no chemistry. They did their job but no spark and the romance was rather underwhelming. NJW is objectively the way better actor and had really good chemistry with Janice. All that could have been overlooked since the script was what truly lacked. Bummer.
For me it depends. The K-Dramas I truly like are very rare these days. Hardly 3 or 4 each year, 1-2 make onto my favorite list. Probably we are just burned-out with always the same stories and how they are told. Especially the remake hype of western stories makey me tired. I don't need a perfect directing, a perfect shooting scene and the most talented actors. I need good stories with characters I can understand. When I watch a show and start nitpicking with the editing I'm not into the story.
