Yea I think that's the case with BR, the moment HH told him transplanting brain of aggressive mice into a docile mice and observing the change, he's indicating the same thing is happening to BR. And other thing he said exactly the same thing said by DL. About YH's brain is eating away his brain. One achieved his dream of transplanting brain and the other one isn't done yet with his genetic experiments while BR is having invisible war in his brain. One thing for sure is that BR is not himself anymore, even in real life, brain injury chaged a person inspite brain's incredible ability of recovering itself by having other parts of the braun to recompensate for the damaged one. And even brain can accept foreign transplant theoritically, but the other parts of the brain also have to change in order to adapt and to sync with new addition or replacement to a damaged part. So that explains the switch DL was telling BR about. And what turned the switch on is that trigger...it could be anything and in this case a noise or pestering behaviour.

But one thing writer needs to explain is...if the case is like what many viewers here are making guess of...if BR was a SK to begin with and YH wasn't...then having part of YH brain, a specific part of it that responsible for regulating emotion and also at one extent also responsible in maintaining memory (it worked as an integral system i.e work simultaneously with other regions of the brain), BR should be able to control his predatory instinct then. Because if YH wasn't a killer, and his part of brain given to BR is "good" in regards to its function or it has no problem with it, then it should be able to inhibit his other brain that responsible for stimulating his predatory or aggressivity. Because that's how brain works in managing or regulating emotions..one part inhibit another to make a balance brain.

But that's not what we see here. It seems like BR is losing it, he just can't control it anymore...that means one of his switch is turned on and the one that responsible to inhibit it isn't woriking or have problems and that is YH's frontal lobe.

It is also strange to show that BR could be able to cry when he saw BY's case files. He could show emotions that means his frontal lobe is working well in that regulating the emotion up to giving the emotion a physical expression in crying. So it's just strange it could regulate certain emotions but fail in another....when the one who responsible for that is only one...but writer is indeed clever enough to make it only partial frontal lobe transplant...so that's the mess up actually.

Writer is clever in this to avoid any "critical" comments on her work because how brain work is still one of scientific mystery....it's complicated and it's hard to even explain, so she used that well in creating her own narrative...not to mention the genetic things too....so yea she make it very confusing without have to really explain how and why scientifically BR is turning like that...because yes brain and genetics are two scientific fields that still hold many questions to explore....so yes it is possible now for BR turning into all Chukie mode and at other time he could cry by himself alone....but that's not what psychopath would do when they are alone....

So I tend to go with what HH said...BR was that docile "mice" and YH's brain is that "bad mice" brain. And it's now a total mess up happening in his brain because it's not in a balanced mode....and BR couldn't control it....

When writer is working hard to make this a phenomenal story, imo it isn't solid one because she let the questions to be answered with this is a sci-fi...so that's it. You just have to enjoy the plot the thrill and suspence of the story....

So yea I think we can just go with LSG when he said this will be a journey viewers can have with BR to find out who he really is...or what he's becoming? That's interesting invitation :)

It still interesting to follow...and the acting of LSG here is outstanding...impressive and yeah it's crazy to watch the pace of him turning into someone else...like...it started slowly then accelerating up and you just can't follow him anymore but he's right in front of you totally a different person to you....he's doing incredible job bringing BR into life and his dynamic...

So let's see BR's journey and to which end the writer will bring us to...not just BR...I really wish to see KMC, BY, and CHJ also have proper ending that is fair for them....

Oh I hope both LDS and HJW will have good closure in the end. HJW omg...my heart breaks for him too, even LDS really worried about him.

OBY character is a complicated one. But it is understandable and actually you can relate to her fear and anxiety. It is not easy to face her traumatic past but she's brave enough and determined enough to not let the past or the circumstance of the past dictating her current life. It takes a great courage for a young traumatic girl to make such a decision. She refused to let that man to prey on her fear and anxiety but deep down she's battling those feelings hard. She had to act tough and all for her own good. And since that man that caused her to be like she is now, she needed to face her own fear alone. Because when we get help from others we will depend on them continually or get used to it. And she doesn't want that. She wanted to face it on her own facing her own fear even she's trembling. It is really hard situation, it's mental choice situation. She needs to know her limit of fear. I know some people might think of it as annoyinh, but I hope we'll never be in her shoes...it's really tough life this young girl is living. But that also doesn't mean she doesn't need help or guidance,but looking at her situation, things going on with BR, with KMC, she just doesn't want them to be bothered with her while they have their hands full already...that's what's in her head...and it's nothing uncommon...bot to mention it's really personal matter for her..and she just lost her granny...and BR is someone she had crush on, KMC has his own problems and all...it's just hard for girls with her experience to be really opened up person even when she needs help.....

I once see black but dropped it after some episodes (due to no spare time at that time), if that's what you mean? I think it is her style with many twists and confusing plot/storyline....


Idk but if to follow the logic of the cross killer....and the murder of the boxer when bible verse about life for life is brought up, it would be strange if the killer would let himself repenting in jail. I guess it will go with paying lives with his one life. Especially if he killed the ones beloved to people who are close him..I don't think writer will go with jail or disappearing somewhere losing his identity or mind....

But yea who knows whats on the writers mind with her so many twists anything could happened lol.

Yea it's only proper to end it that way. If BR is the SK and the one who murdered that boxer, life for life...so when he realised that he is a murderer and feeling remorse and guilt over it and all other murders he committed, it's only proper for him to choose to pay it all with his life too....i mean the writer must be using that bible verse for a reason....

Agreed. If BR is the murderer it will only proper that he'll go with paying up all his sins with his own life as a way of repenting himself and to give proper end/closure as well for KMC, BY, and CHJ. Because life would be very hard for them if BR would only pay for his sins in jail...they will never have proper closure and couldn't move on with their lives if BR was made to live in jail. I think that boxer murder is a vague hint....that life must be paid with life as well...it is only proper if BR will live up to that standard he made to his victim too if he is indeed the murderer.

Yes, and this could end as a tragedy. I mean as in the boxer murder case...life for life...so whoever the psycho murderer is he might end up paying it all up with his own life in remorse and guilt.

Ah...is that so, now it's clear because i was wondering how MDL know that young JH is YH while the drama itself isn't at the revelation point yet of who the adult JH is.

One thing, i don't think JH murderes his father and two siblings, because at ep 2 when he said that his first murder wasn't perfect the scene showed was that of the boxer. Imo it was his first murder. And then he went on with his cross killing....
That man must be related to JH family murders somehow, thus his murder was different from the cross murders...it's revenge murder.
When CHJ said that the boxer wouldn't hurt a fly, KMC told her who would know? It's just my opinion though.

We might also overlooked the fact that HH did what he did out of his own lust for grand achievement, i.e he said it himself his deity realm. He told BR that he hoped that BR wouldn't lose his human nature and let it be eaten away by YH and he said he meant it. Imo he was interested in BR because BR is his first prize...his achievement of his 30+ years of experiments...to successfully be the first to be able to do human brain transplant. And he was curious to know how BR will turn out to be..how that brain transplant will change him into...again he pointed to BR that he experimented on two mices...he transplanted a brain of an aggressive mice to a docile mice and the latter became ferocious. And Dr.Lee also said the same thing to BR...that YH's brain might at some point taking over and it will getting worse...thus he needed to redirect his killing target....

It's all still confusing though....as BY in special episode said we might guess but it will go beyond that...and also interesting...when asked about what the end would be...PO said he wished good end for BY and KMC...yet idk someone else idk if it's the one who play CHJ or KMC but the person wished good end for BR,BY, KMC and CHK because they have suffered..

It will fit the title mouse...that BR is now an experiment subject of HH...the way he made a docile mice into a nasty mice by transplanting the brain of an aggressive mice into its head. BR is the human rep for that docile mice and HH was so curious if he'll behave exactly the same as the mice after the surgery? And DL now is experimenting with BR "nasty" brain (as CHJ put it in her convo with young BR about the mouse if it can be controlled or contained and only be released in a certain situation...asa scientist he might use BR as his own lab rat to prove environment could also influence genetic adaptation or maybe for other theory or it could be due to entirely different reasons...we don't know yet.

Well having said all this...the writer might surprise us again with the another twist.. i won't be as much surprised though since we only have two characters..it's either BR or YH as young JH and the cross murderer...and we all have made guesses on either one of them....so it wouldn't be so much a twist though the element of surprise might still shocking. Except the writer has something else on her sleeve...that will go beyond every guesses viewers have made.

And there's another thing also...the sibling of Dr.Lee...he might came back for that reason also...someone among the characters must be his long lost sibling and BR might be related to his sibling too? Idk but I got the feeling that Dr.Lee was behind that politician lady to beg HH to save BR. But yea, it seems like endless guessing for us to the very end lol.

Did you notice that the cast list is updated again?the young Jae Hoon now updated as young Yo Han. Or could it be that the update is based on the update of the drama? And it could change too when there's new update also on the drama in regards to JH's real identity? But I wonder why it's updated as young Yo Han when the drama itself isn't give anyone a clear clue of who the adult JH is.

The kid that pushed his mom off the window was that lawyer killer, his mom was the woman who came to meet Dr.Lee at hotel lobby and gave him hair sample to test. In ep 10 it was revealed the she was aware of his son odd behaviour and just so happened Dr.Lee came back to Korea with all that psycho gene test thing. The boy didn't want to be tested and the mom was trying to kill him and herself....ended up with him killing his mom...his first murder.

CHJ wasn't a killer she was the daughter of that police detective Park who gone wild in ep 1 with KMC asking if he saw who killed his parents. She might be forced to help HH in his killings, that's how HH paying back detective Park for challenging him on TV interview. He kidnapped his kids and made her that way, she might also was a test subject too, and she somehow managed to escape from him.

I also been saying Dr.Lee couldn't be dead too early, a scientist like him wouldn't just left his research or abandoned it just because the vote made on their proposal to have the test conducted in general population was dropped. For 20 years he might have done more research and experiments with the best circumstances compared to HH. And he came back to Korea for some reasons and the way he staged his death? There must be reason for him doing that. And I guess it was related to the pair of mouses he received back then from HH.

Different with HH, Dr.Lee could work with both dead and alive samples on DNA and gene tests...while HH needs living organ/organism to achieve his research goal. That's why he was so furious with Dr.Lee,because he was doing his research long before Dr.Lee even started his study, he had been killing his patients back in UK and then later killing people for subject experiments in Korea...and Dr.Lee just need some years to make breakthrough in his experiments...this was jealous driven HH to prove that he's better than Dr.Lee....

That is why he agreed to make that transplant on BR, it could be one of some other reasons unknown to us yet. Dr.Lee could be very much behind that politician lady to beg HH to operate on BR.

And now Dr.Lee also might have his own experiment on him...to look for the bad genes and exterminate evil. And achieving whatever goal he has.

I also....couldn't be sure BR is a killer prior to his brain transplant. I mean following typical judgment...you know that overly nice and kind anf sweet usually ended up being the most brutal killer....to make a point about him being a psychopath killer? Idk because if that's what this is about then nothing surprised since that'a what many of not most of viewers here saying...that BR is expected to be a murderer because he fits all the typycal characteristics associated with psychopath. It wouldn't be an impactful twist anymore if BR was the SK since the beginning...and that the viewers here just wanting to see the thrill of his journey remembering his past and find remorse...?

This drama is confusing on a good term...it makes you think hard and harder every time to be surprised or not? The story itself is not imo that complicated....the twists only serve as superficial complications to make the story interesting. And what makes the drama interesting imo is the acting skills of the actors/actreas in delivering their characters so perfectly. How they portray and bringin out every character to life....is the most interesting part of the drama imo.

Let's just see how it will go from here with BR's new journey finding himself...or...his new self?

LYY's fingertips were found by her own mom at ep 1 on the bench in front of her house. Only her body missing for 20 years. And yes just like JY's mom, she also witnessed JM killed the cafe girl in the van, and was caught by him. And had her fingertips cut off. She fainted but woke up when JM was disposing the body in the reed....she then flee....just to be killed by another person.....

Wow that's too far to associate an OCD with psychopathic serial killers. Yes this is about psychopathic serial killers not just some serial killers...

OCD is a disorder related to anxiety and fear...while a psychopathic serial killer is someone who lacks both fear and anxiety, instead someone who always prone to power and control.

And if BR has OCD that he's clean or near freak it has nothing to do with him being a psycopath serial killer (if he is a SK) because that type of OCD is one most common in people.

And YH wasn't a messy person. His mom sent the cleaner to his hojse because he's busy with work and might have no time to do much of house chores. And judging how he put this dirty clothes into the basket and how his mom taken them out from that, and his study is quite tidy, not to mention he's a neurosurgeon. I just can't picture a messy person to be a neurosurgeon....

Psychopath killer with an OCD as indicator of him being a killer?if writer go wild on that too...idk what this drama is truly about....but well I don't think that's the case.

YH was tailing the granny and he was there for how long with her before BR came? Looking for her in every building? Granny is old and slow it isn't that hard to find her, but apparently it was for YH? That he only found when BR already killed her?then the chase? Or was he there all along witnessing the murder but do nothing?

But what's the motive?the granny wasn't suspicious of him and she was about to tell him where she found the photograph?why the need to kill her?when she wasn't suspicious of him at all and that BR couldn't just come and struck her death without questioning her?

So apparently if BR is the one killed granny then there are missing scene of that event that viewers can expect to see..I just can't see the motive and the necessity too...but well maybe the pieces are in next episodes....

And how they both anticipating each other's possible failure....

DS always has his own way which JW like most of us couldn't guess what DS is up to every time lol...and JW has his way which DS never cease to wonder at how persistent and how nonchalant JW is even when his own reputation is at stake.
But whatever action they take by themselves, they actually anticipating each other.

Like in ep 13. DS told JW that he's on his own now...and JW was like I'm always on my own...he wanted to know the truth even that means he should go against his father...and he needed to prove it himself if what DS said about his dad is true...so off him go to tip off the reporter...to see whether his dad will be honest or not....to his shock his dad again and again always have something up his sleeve.

And DS got that call from JW'a dad...he thought DS could be bought with position...but he didn't know that DS too has something up his sleeve lol.

So at that hearing here DS came as JW failed to make his dad admit his mistake...so the only one that could provoke the dad is by arresting JW for things that JW pretty much had admitted to internal affair man...about that sting operation that went wrong...that's what JW's dad keel reminding JW to keep low until he secured his dream position.

Now with DS arresting JW, the hearing pretty much will end and so does the nomination. And JW's dad will show his true color.

Idk if my guess is right...because even JW was surprised and upset at first but he then gave an understanding look...if things have to go this way to get to the bottom of all this...so be it kind of look. ...

Or ...im wrong and the two will be at odd with each other?hopefully that will never be the case....ugh...

And I just love the way Shin Ha Kyun flustered lol. They seemed to push one another away just to bring them even more close each time...and the way they bickering at each other is like two persons who fall in love with each other but trying so hard to deny it by bickering....lol...it's fun it's lovely it's warmth to watch...their scene in ep 13 really made my day....

I usually just admire and respect actors/actresses for their acting skills...but the two really capture my heart like...gosh I can't get enough of them and this will end next week...ugggh...

Imo Dr.Lee didn't lie, he just didn't say a word. When she came in, she asked him, but he didn't answer her, and she assumed what the result was and sob in pain wanted to abort. When he left her for the guest, the results were on the table...she didn't even take them to read them...or maybe it's just partial scene again?

But the thing is, Dr.Lee died too soon...if he really is. Because it just seemed off that he didn't even get to at least having his moment with HSJ to hold him accountable for what he did to his sister. And also the missing sibling of Dr.Lee l...why bother putting the lines HSJ asking about that if there will be no such sibling thing....so maybe it's just another vague clue that will get the answer un the coming episodes?

Ah yea you're right, the nurse was BR's mom. I forgot her face in ep 1 because of her very short time appearance.

This is what ive been trying to say.
Like in ep 1 there's a woman met Dr.Lee in hotel lobby and gave him hair sample. No clue whatsoever about it, then it turned out in ep 10...that scene in ep 1 is actually a clue for that lawyer killer introduced i ep 8/9? And we got to know that woman is the mother of the lawyer killer.

And the crazy thing the scene at hospital when the two pregnant women met was not a complete scene, in ep 10...that lawyer killer mom was there hiding watching the two women form some distance.

Now another back scene of HH's wife went out from the hospital after saving the same woman to only watched her falling of the bulding and died - there's another pregnant woman...[[a nurse also watching her as she walk..so there must be another killer...and among the present characters...we just don't know who that person is yet?-->> i'm correcting this: the nurse was BR's mom]]

Seriously...a very vague hint on ep 1 to be explained in ep 10...like wth...and each episode is has that same vague hints and you just don't know yet what about them...even the brain transplant thing..like you have no idea it will come to play until they provided a back scene form 30 plus years ago to explain that...and that gene thing now just an obselete pretext...

But it must be admitted that it's quite a clever trick to make viewers invested in the drama...and keep guessing lol....

Too many twists can ruin the story...but that's what this drama is trying to attract vieweres curiousity and attention...but as it does so...it has lost its charm...lost its thrill even because now viewers are getting used to the twists and it doesn't surprise as much too...so when it happened...viewers will be like...ok it just exactly as what someone is guessing or it isn't...and the story...it's indeed a new kind of story but it's not special at all except for the many twists.....

I was so invested in this but lost it all since ep 9. For some it's getting interesting which is good....the actors are great...but the story imo not that great...it just another drama as one viewer said it....

Yea it could be that YH is already dead too since we saw his mom spreading his ashes on the sea. But something just doesn't feel right about it. We know YH suddenly using perfume at the same time BR could smell mint scent when he was struggling with the man at BY's granny scene and later at the church, when BR arrived he smell it too and looking back into the crowd...he didn't see YH but we saw he was there. It always puzzle me why YH did all what he did, I mean how could he be in the crime scene every time too...like he knew something is going to happen in precice time and place and to certain person.

What he's actually after...and his mom is no better...you know all the characters here have their own story that we can't even tell which one to pay attention to first...all blurry even shaddy characters due to the too slow revealing each back story...we only have KMC's background clear...other than him only glimpses of their memories here and there spreading all over the episodes.

So BR has partial frontal lobe transplant, but nothing being done to his damaged temporal lobe. So technically the surgery indeed was a success but the result of the surgery is we don't know it yet. But BR definitely is something between himself and another person...he's literally going crazy...brain is in total mess...so HSJ was creating a monster...how can we expect BR to feel empathy while all his going nuts everytime...frontal.lobe only responsible for regulating the emption...it where the emotion get the expression in physical response. Now the parts of his brain where empathy is processed first couldn't do that....so his frontal lobe can fo nothing about regulating emptions especially the ones.processed in amygdala. Excepy his temporal lobe is just fine not damaged or it has recovered naturally...but that doesn't explain his state of a mess now....

HSJ might want to use BR as his "creation" remember his ambition to play god....but I guess like the scene of the mouse and the snake...the snake will bite the predator snake (BR will kill HSJ?) And BR eventually die in the hands of CHJ, as she did when they were younger...she crushed the mouse because it has got a "nasty" brain...maybe it's her punishment...guilty of her false judgment to YH...and guilty of forcing others to do make a transplant to BR using YH's brain?

Or BR could be dying eventually because of imbalance brain. That his foreign frontal lobe eventually failed to make proper and correct connection with other part of his brain...

But all in all LSG doing an outstanding job...I mean wow it must be a very difficult and conflictinh role to play...but he could delivered it very well...you jump from liking that kind, cute and all innocent look to something entirely different...like wow...I literally felt the chill to the bone when he killed that bird like it's nothing and his gradual change on his expressions...

I personally think if I continue it must be because of the acting...because im not as invested and as interested as before in regards to the story...but the acting here...all of them...class!
