Yes, the baby is their daughter and the one who throw her down off the building is Gu Reum. I think the baby is…
About the survival of the baby story is just a guess, or a more like a hope if there's another season for this due to the title of the drama has "beginning" in it. As for the it is the baby daughter instead of Zi O (a flashforward) is because the body silhouette is that of a woman carrying a baby not a man, and if you watch it carefully, there's few seconds show of the scene where she's running, she wears Gu Reum's pair of shoe. And the man chasing them wears the nowadays suits. In other episode we see glimpses of young Zi O in the laboratory being experimented on, and that he was being taken by Gu Reum's father to her house (their first meeting, in Gu Reum's very own memory that her parents brought him home, and her first experience of Zi O's power). Zi O was never abandoned as a baby, he burned the laboratory and being 'kidnapped' by Gu Reum's father, as to why, the real story is vague, but Zi O was presented with story that Gu Reum's father took him to be sold to some people, and Zi O himself has slight memory that he being handed over to some men and he remembered asked Gu Reum's father that he thought they would adopt him - a.k.a he remembered he was angry at Gu Reum's father in the car for deceiving him. But he didn't remember killing them though, as they were killed by the men - Cheol Soo's men. He saw them being killed but as he was left in the car he blasted the car with his power and escaped himself ever since and he got to that church's orphanage somehow and spent sometimes there and met with his only friend there too. So that could not be him at the first episode.
Okay wait, I'm slow apparently. The baby at the beginning I assumed it was Ji Oh and it was a flashback that would…
Yes, the baby is their daughter and the one who throw her down off the building is Gu Reum. I think the baby is either saved by Zi O or someone, and the next story in next season if there's one, will be of the baby's story of survival.
Why do I think that Park Jung Je is the culprit? He always with dong sik when the kills happened but dong sik…
He's suspicious but it will be too obvious if the culprit is him, since the very start he's already acting suspiciously, but every one in that mad little town seems suspicious, even both MLs are the most suspicious. Dong Shik clearly shows strange facial expressions like he's a psychopath or something, nobody knows at this point if that's an act or he might be psychopathic, or he has multiple personality disorder, and the guess going on and on....
I just hope that Gu Reum was acting toward Zi O to protect him and also their baby. Because she doesn't seem like someone who would believe whatever people say to her at face value, one because she's a police detective and second because all the experiences she's been through. She's a tough person. Zi O did the same to her, despite knowing the fact that her parents actually the ones who kidnap Zi O and sold him for money for escaping, but ended up being killed by the organozation. If Gu Reum will ever learn the truth, it would be devastating to her, knowing that her parents not just involved in the making of Zi O, but also manipulating and exploiting Zi O like that, it would destroy her inspite of her pursue of avenging their death. I hope that she let herself being used like that to protect her loved ones. She knew Zi O will come and at all cost will try to save them, so she must do her very best to push him away no matter what and think of a plan to save her baby, but that's just a guess. It could be she was just being depressed and confused since everything just happened way too fast and in shocking way. If that's the case, though it is sad to know that she has no trust in Zi O after all they have been through together, it is understandable as she's having mental breakdown due to all the crazy corcumstances she's in and she's in a survival mode of a mother to protect her baby at all cost. I hope she's breaking free and get back to her sense and learn to trust Zi O, and listen to him, I don't think that all she wanted is a solution from Zi O, I think all she wanted is to be free from all the situation and that includes for Zi O to be free as if she really believe that Zi O killed her parents, she still wanted Zi O to live to have her vengeance on him. I don't think this drama will have a happy ending for both of them, as we see in the first episode, she let the baby fall (knowing the baby will survive the fall) as they were chased by the bad guys. She will fight to death with them and the baby will be saved by Zi O or somehow saved by someone else. And that's the beginning end and there will be another season telling the survival of the baby and Zi O or only the baby. But well just hope for some good twist that the three will have a good ending, because it's just sad to see all the sufferings they've been through to keep going on will just rewared with death. It will be too frustrating to watch.
Remember what LDS said to the chief, if you want to catch a monster you should be one. I think it is clear that…
I thought LDS just picturing himself putting Ming Jung's finger tips, because he seems to picturing things also when he was cleansing his basement. But I might got it wrong. Where he got those fingertips? Could it be in the same bench at his house where his mom found his twin sister's? Then he moved them as a challenge to the kidnapper/killer and as well as to confuse the police force? LDS might have known or stongly suspected someone, but to catch this culprit is not easy one, since there are no concrete evidence and the corruption of polive department and being small town where everyone knows everyone and thay they tend to be very uncooperative when it comes to scandals, etc. He must come up with a very smart and risky plan if he wanted to catch the person himself. And the thinh about the death of his partner also might has something to do with this old case, and that he went back to his hometown playing ordinary cop while secretly investigating the old cases. And everything was well until HJW came, with his showing strong dislike and suspicion on LDS, knowing that it was HJW's very own father that closed the case 20 years ago, it is only natural that LDS won't trust HJW and the fact he now knows that HJW's using illegal alien to catch him but got her killed instead also showing that LDS is a very thorough person. How could he had that lady's phone and planted it there? HJW fell in his trap and all those police, it was what he wanted to be caught and being exposed like that, all them even Oh Ji Hoon. The man who Oh Ji Hoon saw might be indeed LDS because she was smiling widely and came running to the person, or it might be someone else, it couldn't be her father, since she would be afraid instead if it was her dad, remember LDS asked her to remove the nails before going home so her father wouldn't notice that she's been playing around instead of studying. There must be someone else there besides LDS that would make Min Jung all that happy to meet (remember she just met him LDS at the station). This drama is intriguing, I like how everyone looks suspicious, even Oh Ji Hwa...she was ex-wife of the chairman.
The other thing is how LDS got sample of Min Jung blood there in his basement and he intentionally left it there while clean up everything. He's playing a quite difficult plan here....and ugh it still long way to go now....but after quite some times watching such drama this one really has that strong thrill vibe since it is unpredictable and complicated since episode 1. Lol...can't wait for the next episode.
Let's try gather what we found out until now. As we saw in the episode 5 premiere, it's clear that Oh Ji Hoon…
Remember what LDS said to the chief, if you want to catch a monster you should be one. I think it is clear that he didn't cover up for someone, and see how his eyes were sad when HJW went on tv talking about those missing persons. It is like he's building up a wall around himself so that no one knows what's on his mind actually and that they must be on guard at all times in fron of him as he will be paying attention to the smallest thing could rise his suspicious. He had the advantage of manipulating their past mistake on their unfair and injustice that cost LDS's family tragedy. Everyone is suspicious. From Park Jung Je weird actions to provide alibi for LDS without even LDS even confirming if his testimony being true or not. But I guess Park Jung Je did that for his mother back then and now. Her mom promised to make the city free-crime city in her campaign and now she's aiming for the position of mayor. Back then the case caused them to lost redevelopment project, and now as we see Park Jung Je's mom meeting with HJW's dad and that chairman, they all in that to make a cover up so the redevelopment project will resume again after 20 years of pending. Park Jung Je also might know something or do something that LDS must have known, that is why he kept on coming to his house for no reason like checking it on him, and he let LDS do whatever he did with the case files. LDS might have dirt on him. And that Oh Ji Hoon guy also definitely know something, he said something to Han Joo Won that hiw coming to their town provoking people. He hid the fact that he saw Kang Min Jung the night she disappear, he was the lqst person to see her alive, he saw her running toward someone. And he said he wanted the culprit to be Lee Dong Shik because he might have crush on Min Jung but Min Jung really likes Lee Dong Shik. Everyone there seems to be suspicious, they all wanted to hide the fact that there's serial killer living among them and it would be just easy to pin that to Lee Dong Shik, but that's not the case, he's police officer now and he knows and recites the law to them all the time. Han Joo Won also shows that he has something like OCD, he might experienced something back then when all the killings happened. He could be witnessing something, that is why he keeps on pursuing this case. There must be a reason why he is so sure that Lee Dong Shik is the killer. He might have seen Dong Shik...remember at the night his sister disappear Dong Shik texting her to go out to meet him because he does not want to go home.
This will be full of twists...and it seems like a mess but it keeps making you wonder, guessing and lol my brain tickles me...and that's great...Hopefully it will remain so till the end when we get to see the real killer.....
watching it now and I'm skipping all the female doctor's scenes ,, she's annoying and her scenes seemed out of…
Agreed, even though I think her character is not that bad, quite nice, but it just seems to be forced into the story, I mean it just so happened she's the doctor for Li Cu, and then she's from Wang family but somehow had a retrograde amnesia, and she forced herself to go to the most dangerous place to know her real identity based on very limited information and that Zhang Ri Shan breaking Fo Ye's instruction to never set foot again in Gutong jiang by allowing her to go there knowing the danger, and she was accompanied by three young guys to go there...i mean no man would allow the woman hr loved to go though such situation, and really weird they just so happened trapped in the room where she gets to know more...i mean her story has no significance and even relate to the already complicated story. And really Zhang Ri Shan is out of the blue also fall in love with her, I mean their romance not even that touching because it just out of the blue....Ri Shan became the love of her life in just short amount of time, and he became entangled to her just like that, it's like hello just few days ago she's been chasing Wang Meng...lol. but if it is made in different story of Zhang Ri Shan maybe it could be acceptable, in this I just don't see why her story is even there....maybe there will be another series, when she finally get back all her memories who knows.
I'm six episodes away from ending this Rollercoaster of a drama and I have soo many questions It's so complicated…
1st. Li Cu happened to be the one got the box from Shen Qiong and because of that very box, Li Cu got tortured by Wu Xie's subordinate who went mad because of the thing in his bpdy. He at the very last struggling with his own life drew the map on Li Cu's back, and the thing in the box is like the ink that made the map readable. That is why Li Cu was chosen. And if you see the pheromone effects Li Cu saw, Wu Xie himself did not know who will be the one chosen to do the way too long pending mission (it was Wu Xie'a grand father who found out there's such a thing called tenth clan a.k.a wang clan). Wu Xie need complete outsider to do the job since Wang clan had infiltrated almost all nine clans.
2nd. Li Cu had to be kidnapped is part of the plan, as he will be captured by the wang clan, so it could be an excuse also for Li Cu to "betray" Wu Xie.
3rd. The seemingly torture actually to make Li Cu stronger, as he will be dealing with the extreme Wang's training too. And since Li Cu had the map on his back and the effect of the thing from the box, he's able to get the ability to read the film from snake's pheromones, you see Wu Xie had planted all those snakes in Gutongjing with his memories, so when the time comes Li Cu will get to see the plans specifically. Li Cu had to endure all that for specific reasons. Wu Xie had to play "cruel" in order to make his plan works.
4th. Wu Xie even had to keep Fatty at such distance, so the wangs and also the nine clans believe he's all alone and an easy target, Xiao ge also not there at all, it has to be that meticulous to so no the wang and the nine family believe that Wu Xie is an easy target and all alone. And they bought it and fell into his cunning trap.
So yea this is really complicated but the most interesting Wu Xie's story, too bad Xiao ge is not in there and fatty only play such minimum part.
After all he is just a normal kid, who just got drag in the situation because of that black thing and the map…
It was the plan all along, since they need to bring down Wang clan, they need an outsider to do that, and all the seemingly torture actually what helps Li Cu to survive until the very end. This is the first time Wu Xie plan and execute his plan without fatty and qi lin, and he had to do that because Li Cu already had the tattoo on him, and no one in that situation would willingly come with you, and again the kidnapping thing is all part of the plan unbeknown to Li Cu, so he could infiltrate Wang under the pretention of betraying Wu Xi for kidnapping him.
There are lots of comments about how Wu Xie is so different than in other series and spin offs of lost tomb. Wu Xie had planned this for quite a long time (I guess at some point of his journey which not hinted in other series) after learning his grand father's notebook, and after all confusing endless chasing after his third uncle (my take is his uncle did this as part of plan too, to make wu xie ready to face the enemy of nine clans as it was his father the old master wu who first noticed this tenth brutal clan). It is explained that Wu Xie had no choice but to use a total outsider to infiltrate the wang clan, since he could not carry the plan himself, the wangs already knew him and all other members of nine clans. And Wu Xie already knew that Li Cu's childhood friend actually a wang girl, so he indeed spying on her since they got his man. And it was by accident also, that Wu Xie's doing that to Li Cu, so since things had developed that way, he had no choice but to kidnap Li Cu or else the Wang will get him first. (The whole thing with Wu Xie's subordinate is that the wang girl kidnapped him, but the thing in his body drove the man crazy, and they need the map from the man's brain, hence the wang girl gave the box gift to Li Cu, and let the man lose to get the box from Li Cu with his life, and when he failed to get that, he did that to Li Cu, Li Cu became new host for the thing in the box and a key to read the map. It all just so happened that way. Wu Xie and his friends have to be meticulous with their planning and timing, that is why he brought Li Cu on the first journey and left him all those stuffs so Li Cu could make his own choice to go second time (with this time he was given the information he needed on their plan). Li Cu got it and he played along. Wu Xie somehow how to be like that because that was the plan, since Zhang Qi Lin wasn't there with him, Fatty also not there with him, his uncle still nowhere to be found dead or alive, he had to be tough for Li Cu and for himself, because all the time it was his beloved friends who will safe the day for him, now he has to be all that for Li Cu. So yea we get to see different side of Wu Xie, and to be honest I think this is the best side of Wu Xie, he's strong, smart, cunning, abit mysterious, it is like he's absorping his friends strength into himself when they are not around...so yea this one is very nice one.
Except the Liang Wang character here is somehow felt off. It is like they forcing her into the story, I like her character as she's bright, I mean there already two female fatale here already with other ladies so cunning, so to see a kind and funny and cheerful lady is nice, but I don't think her character fit. Why she's made to be a wang, she lost her memory and why suddenly Zhang Ri Shan out of the blue falling for her and being jealous of her keep asking about Zhang Qi Ling (Qi Ling has retrograde amnesia just like her so she interested to know), and then how in the world Ri Shan using a woman to remember a map and stuffs and send her to the place his master Fo Ye forbid any of the clans to go there, I mean why her? Her story is not clear at all and she's the leading character, and after all she has to be saved, no skill to survive in the wilderness, all she had is that memory of a map in her head and yes her being a doctor, Ri Shan of all his long time living doing that out of typical Zhang logic is...he sent them with three young unexperienced boys for what to be their mom or something? It just make no sense...that is why I think it is just off. And man he is an old man....like even the old men in the clan called him uncle, and he just so happened to meet her and now she's all involved....and she is the main lead and old Ri Shan is forever a supporting role...that's quite upsetting. I wish we get to have his story too with Fo Ye....a spin off will do...
did anyone notice that li cu eyes turn black at ep 14 when he was fighting the wang clan guy, did they ever explain…
It is the black thing on his back, the creature in the box given by the wang girl. That black thing helped shapes the map and I think it appeared also as defense mechanism when he was in grave danger, like giving him a brief power to overcome an attack by that retard wang man. After sense no grave danger he got back to normal, he got beaten up hardly though. Well that is my only opinion, the thing is actually that cypress snake root. He threw it out somewhere in the building when running with black glasses, and he unkowingly asked black glasses why it was in his stomach, maybe that is why the map faded and he did not get that black eye symptom anymore. It's just my guess ;)
Ae Ri's mom is totally annoying. Why did she just sit on this evidence for decades? And then, instead of going…
Agreed that Ae Ri's mom's logic is upsetting instead of her well meaning for her daughter she put every one in danger. She made the wrong call indeed. But I think she meant well, the evidence was originally belong to Seo Jin's father, and it she was told to keep it but later Seo Jin's father died and all being said by suicide, she knew that was a bogus since Seo Jin's father plan to bring down the company. And that scared her since she knew she could not bring that to police as well, the fact that Seo Jin's father bring the evidence for her save keeping instead of bringing it to police meant he did not trust the police (a.k.a there must be some people in police force that have been bought off by the real bad man here) so she had no choice but to keep that evidence and buried it for the sake of her daughter, she like any other mother just wanted her daughter to live a normal life without being dragged back by the past. And she used that to black mail the chairman was indeed a wrong call and kinda make everything complicated, but she was dying and her daughter working too hard for both of them, she was tempted, she just wanted to leave her daughter some money. And the fact that the chairman is already knew that she had the evidence, she had no choice but to keep on blackmailing the chairman for her daughter safety. It was all a mess up but I don't believe she did that out of greed.
Hyun Chae did not ask Tae Kyu to kill off his father because she will be exposed and her real identity and past will be exposed since Tae Kyu is a two faced snake, he is only loyal to the chairman and the chairman allowed him to be used by others to make double money, but he would always reported everything back to the chairman for higher price. Hyun Chae would not risk that considering she's also a very cunning person. Not even the closest person know about her real identity, she black mailed the chairman too, so it is impossible for her to have Tae Kyu to kill her father, that will be like giving the chairman a bullet to kill herself.
The story is complicated with too many bad people with their ill schemes, and Seo Jin is only want to safe his family and to get to know the truth, he's not a greedy person, and if they do all the other things beside focusing on their mission, then things will be even more complicated, remember a month is too short while they have to make a very careful plan with many people in consideration. And Seo Jin does not have any romantic feeling for Ae Ri, they have that special bond but it is more like familial bond having gone through lige anf death together. And yes agreed Seo Jin is a lonely man, but he's also being a better man after all the ordeal, better dad too. And Ae Ri will be a better match for Geon Wook even it is not clearly shown in the drama, but she's aware of Geon Wook's feeling for her. It would be weird twist if Seo Jin and Ae Ri developed romance, that would make Seo Jin's character less credible as a person with strong character, a loyal husband and loving father, he's not the type to easy forming a relationship. He did not marry Hyun Chae out of love, she and Hyun Chae had been using each other, but his daugher changed him somehow, and he's really putting importance of family. So yea inspite all, it would be unlikely for him and Ae Ri to bond romantically. And the drama clearly showed they indeed ended up as friends.
OMG I just cant believe im now watching a hidden gem. so here is my guess about the ending. In the ep 1, which…
I think on ep 1 opening scene, it is indeed Go Reum and she did not kill the baby, instead saving her by letting her falling off. The baby has the same power as Zi O, and has her own natural defense mechanism, so the baby will survive. I really wish Go Reum to survive it too (I mean saved by the baby's electric power?), but she could also die there, and Zi O once again lose his memory. Since this is just the beginning, there must be another story after, and it could be the story of Zi O and his baby girl.
Episode 8 was really sweet and also heart breaking, I mean at least Zi O get to experience a brief of normal life, knowing how to love and being loved, and get to have some of the happiest moments in his long miserable life. The same goes for Go Reum. I really hope a good ending for them both and the baby.
There are two kinds of Zhang clan: kylin and jungcie tattoo. (not accurate pronunciation)Zhang qi ling and Zhang…
I think Zhang Rishan and Zhang Fo Ye have the same tattoo instead of Rishan and Fo Ye, because if he is pure blooded Zhang like Qi Ling it is impossible for Zhang Fo Ye to treat him as a subordinate. Fo Ye is from another mixed blood Zhang, and the pure blooded Zhang has nothing to do with Mystic Nine families, as they kind of an ancient family who might actually find the way in pursuing immortality like all the kings and queens of old. If I remember correctly there's a flashback scene of Fo Ye being chased by the bad guys and he was told to go to Changsa and also flash back of him and his clan members visiting very strange old Zhang's manor (the main Zhang clan), Rishan is from Changsa, and Fo Ye came from the same region as the that prince they met on the reataurant. Zhang Fo Ye indeed could live as long as Rishan and also Qi Lin but he chose different path because of his wife. Fo Ye loved her dearly even died together with her I guess...they could live a long life without aging but they are not immortals.
Tots wuxie was my first wuxie so watching young wuxie after that was really an eye opening like i still have very…
I think because of the Wang girl who was Li Cu's nextdoor crush and also schoolmate, so happened to be living next door to Li Cu and to be his schoold mate, there might be some untold story on Li Cu's family back ground as we only see him growing up without a mother and an abusive father (maybe Li Cu's mother is a Wang). He was chosen from the start maybe because Wi Xie is aware of the Wang Girl is somehow either accidently or purposely showing pictures to Li Cu (she might be also on the recruiting mission as well for Wang clan). As we saw Wu Xie's men were watching the building where this Wang girl and also Li Cu lived in. That is where the first maybe Wu Xie first chosing Li Cu as he saw Li Cu actually close to the girl. It must be Li Cu instead of himself as at the time he was also busy with his own mission. Why Li Cu it is because of the tattoo carved on his back, he is the living map and it is only possible for Li Cu to get involved in the mission. And Li Cu was not being let alone, there's always someone to protect him. And he wasn't one to be subdued easily too hence the tough approach. Wu Xie is as cunning as his uncle, and he might be seeing himself in Li Cu as well. And Li Cu grow to like him in the end and hell at the end of the drama he was seen to be ready for the next adventure....
For the corpse bug i think its because the two of them was not in the center of the horde(dont know what word…
He was wearing his traditional garment and head dress I think that he used to protect himself, the one got beaten first was not the grandson of the old lady, but the Ah Ning team member I think, and the rest of them was just standing there watching before being attacked as well. It was blood sucking bugs I think because Ah Ning later cut her hand to get blood to distract them, and they also maybe poisonous, one bite might not harm you but got biten by a hoarde might kill I guess. That is why the grand son is just ok even he musy have got biten too and got cured by his grandmother I guess...remember the dung tea? Lol it supposed to be like medicine tea I guess....
Naive Wu Xie who loves his friends and care for human lives is so different than 10 years past this Wu XIe without…
Wu Xie did not kidnap him because he just grow old to be nasty person. If you watched carefuly he had no choice but to kidnap Li Cu, because the Wang girl who happened to be Li Cu's next door crush and schoolmate was the one who indeed put Li Cu in that situation. Wu Xie did not torture him, it was the man from whose hand the box the Wang girl stole did as he needs to pass the message/map if I remember correctly. All what Wu Xie did to him was to push him to man up, Li Cu was troubled kid and was always get beaten up by his own father, Wu Xie use this to teach him to man up and to channel his anger wisely. It is like Wu Xie seeing parts of his old self in Li Cu. He kidnapped him because of the tattoo not because he wanted to kidnap him out of nowhere, it is either them or the Wang clan that got Li Cu, indeed Li Cu ended up being used by Wangs yet thanks to his trust in Wu Xie, they got to defeat the Wang clan. About growing up, we all grow up, and we can't stay being naive all of our lives, and in this case Wu Xie had experienced many things no ordinary young men of his age could ever experience, but we can still see how loyal friend he is, and he still that naive man in tomb of the sea, he still see good in the eye of the Wang girl who at times tried to kill him, exactly like young Wu Xie towards Ah Ning. He wanted to free her from Wang clan's claw and this time he did it. The girl betrayed the clan for good refusing to be used as a tool and made her own choice for her own life. So I don't think Wu Xie in the Tomb of The Sea is someone different at all. He just get older, smarter, wiser and yeah cunning too. I do like older Wu Xie...in Tomb of the Sea and even better in Sound of Providence...but young Wu Xies also fun to watch we get to see his character grow and development even portrayed by different actors.
For the corpse bug i think its because the two of them was not in the center of the horde(dont know what word…
From what I watched was the bug attacking everyone and even the one standing nearWu Xie, thus Wu Xie gave his jacket to the man, the bugs already attacking everyone of them except for Wuxie and Ah Ning who just happenet to stand there and waving their hands around without being biten at all. And the grandson was told by Ah Ning to get back to the camp to inform them to run away, the weirdest thing is that Ah Ning and Wu Xie also decide to run away knowing they don't know the area and direction, it would be stupid thing to just run around like that, why don't follow after the grandson? And even weirder after all that they happened to find a cave and Ah Ning out of the blue knows that the bugs are after the blood...like hello why didn't she told those guys earlier that those bugs attracted to blood, or maybe this knowledge is a later realisation after they get in the small hole, but it is damn hot day and cold night in the desert, she must be all powerful to survive the night with just a tank top while Wu Xie is struggling. And she died just like that, like not being aware of the snake lurking in the water, just like that got beaten and died instantly, idk why they killed her character so early, she was one interesting character. Having said all of this, i like this one because we get to see Zhang Qi Ling as the center of their attention, and we got to see him showing some emotions in his eyes, showing him being confused as well as curious too. Hopefuly in the second installment we get to know what is really the secret of Zhang family and Zhang Qi Lin can finally reconnect to his past. And this one is indeed better than Lost Tomb 1 and 2.
Episode 8 was really sweet and also heart breaking, I mean at least Zi O get to experience a brief of normal life, knowing how to love and being loved, and get to have some of the happiest moments in his long miserable life. The same goes for Go Reum. I really hope a good ending for them both and the baby.
