I could care less about the actor personal life if they do good work doing their job and it's not effecting me…
Totally agree. People should really open their eyes and minds that the word idol itself means an object of worship. When one idolose someone means that person is object not just adoration but literal worship, but they are not gods or deities or any divine figures but a mere human being jusf like everyone of us with their shortcoming, defects and imperfection. That what they do is basically the same as us to work and make a living on their own way and field. We can apreciate and admire their works and look up to them on how they make name for themselves, their hardwork and dedication, and we can indeed also look up to their good personalities and how they carry themselves as public figures. To idolise someone means we will be very disappointed and even hurt to find out they are just mere mortals like us that can make mistakes and do wrong things. And it will just lead to hate and even worse harmful behavior and action that only do us harm than good (I mean it is pointless indeed to hate and keep hating someone who we really don't know personally) and bring nothing to our lives.
I really do not like all these idol or idolosing a person. Really useless and pointless and actually it jusf a marketing propaganda to rob one not just of their money but also common sense. The entertainment industry creating this idol culture exaxctly to make people obsessed beyond logic so they can make profit out of it.

I agree with that, and as this chinese saying (not exactly the verbatim), all your good deeds will be forgotten quickly when one made mistake, and that one critical mistake will forever be remembered. And this kind of saying is common in asian countries, in my country, we have the saying a drop of poison will spoil the whole bowl of milk. This saying is to remind us to be careful with our lives, because this is the nature of our society or to be exact human being, your wrong doing will be remembered for a very long time by people, while all the good things will short live. We tend to be judgmental and prejudiced against others even when those things aren't proven legally. But really rumours can kill one's character. Another saying is be careful with your tongue as it might kill which literally means be cafeful with what we're saying as it can do harm eithet to ourselves or to others, not just can damage one's reputation but could literally do physical/psychological damage to someone. Sadly lots of people despite having all these wisdom being passed down, lots of people like to gossip, to be consumed by gossips and rumours and participating in fanning it and spreading it like wildfire, while the real story being burried down. We don't know how many of them victimised by all these, though many celebrities indeed are bad people in real life as proven legally, but to put all of them with their problematic personal lives on the same category and then judge them, and won't even let them move on and have a second chance is inded not right. People need to be wise and discernful indeed.
And imho there's an extent to our interest in someone's life especially them public figures. And it is not for us to judge them and to call them things without proof or actually knowing them personally or involved in their lives or social circles. I agree with you with Korean netizens/publich harsh treatment against people based on allegation only. Not just costing those people their professional lives but also their mental health, still people won't stop and will keep pressing on them and haunting them to a point they really broken to pieces. And that really sad. Just a mere accusation, allegation can make one losing his/her career even it is not proven yet, and even it is proven wrong, their image basically tainted, whereas in other cases we also see those allegation proven true and related person deserves to be punished by law.
This is why indeed idolising someone is very dangerous, or for celebrity to think it is good for their fame to be idolised by fans (that's what entertainment industry always offered), because the word idol in its original sense is related to deity worship, so one dream to be idol, means he/she should be like a deity with a clean sheet, and at all time maintain a good rapport, never to make a wrong move, like an object of worship (idol), once your image is tainted and you make a mistake you'll be an object of curse and condemnation. No matter how one tries to fix the image, once it's broken, the mark will remain and pepple can revive it again and again like a haunting ghost that will follow one forever. It will never be the same. Only few that really can regain their standing in public, can really reclaim their image, while many have to struggle for a very long time.
Whatever really happened in SJY and her partner at the time are indeed not something for us to judge. Yes it made people aware about how a toxic relationship ca do to both parties involved, if they do not aware about it and how it will impact their mental health. And again it should ended with that and leg them find professional help and support to deal with their issues. It is indeed not our place to judge them as we really do not know what's really going on with their personal lives.
People should indeed stop on being aware about toxic relationship, and mental heath issues, and reflecting it can happen to anyone and in any relationship , and we should support them to seek help and support they needed not to play the judge and causing more harm than good.
And I agree with you, it is really wrong to condemn someone as a bad person when all we know about that person is all what being said on social media.
And really all those people who suddenly coming up now with bullying allegation and stuffs from years back, when really Korean law about bullying is alreaxy there for a long time now. They didn't make a report back then or coming up back then, like making official report to police or if it happened in school days to their teachers or parents, why coming up years later and not to the police but in social media. Years later, and woth vague proofs and people just bought it at face value, not digging to find the truth but with conviction that the person is guilty. Disregarding that one should be treated as innocent until proven guilty not just by the coury but by our common sense. We don't want to be treated like thaf yet we like to treat others unjustly and with bias and prejudice. So ironic indeed.
I just wish people should learn to put it to rest all the commotions about SJY past, and move on and let her move on too, and believe that she learned her lesson and is trying her best. Let her indeed have her new chapter and new chance with her life and work.
Imho the idol culture itself is toxic and destructive not just for them who are branded as idol, but for the fans as well. It does more harm than good for everyone.
I could care less about the actor personal life if they do good work doing their job and it's not effecting me…
I think when you are appreciating someone of their work to a degree you would be interested in their personality as a person in real life to really understand how they make such a great work.
It's not that people so invested but it also help peoole get a glimpse into reality of these actors and actresses being celebrated, that basically they are just human beings they might be great in thier acting but can be broken person in real life with so many mental issues.
I have no ill-feel about er because I really like SJY acting, even after all that had happened, I think is indeed wrojh for people to keep judging her and callling her things as if she had to take all the blame. We just don't know what she had been through that led her to where she was, she might herself not realising she was having some mental health issues that could led to all toxicity. And it sad that people really very judgmental toward her and wouldn't even let her move on and have another chance.
I hope she's having all the help and support she needed in reagards to her mental health (it was tough to face what she went through and not having another impact on her mental health ). Wishing her healthy happy and can return to acting soon again.
So, I liked the premise of the drama, an artist who realized his mistake in drawing a good cop and getting him…
I think you misunderstood the whole point of the episodes you are refering to. It is a murder charge, so the police basically has to do everything to solve the case, and the abuse part was part of their motive for what seemed to be manslaughter into premeditated murder. And it is their job as police to investigate it thorougjly. And it is not they are not sympathetic towards the women as if you watched carefully they maintained neutral expression but the tone of their investigation early on with the pregnant women was not conducted in interogation room, but in a rather relaxed room. Yoi can't expect them to show symphatjy overtly on interrogation as it would hinder their job. And I think what they trying to show here is in real life abuser can be very cjsrming at first before trapping their vivtim in a horrifying relationship and as predator they know how to pick their victims that could not escape their claws of terror even when they tried to run away or break free. They knew how to terrorise these women mentally so they think reporting the man to the police will be of no use, as even if he's jailed he will be back one day with even more ruthless revenge, so many chose to remaon silent and ran away and hid themselves and as the episodes shows their last desperate resort is to take matters into their own hands. But murder is murder, being a victim doesn't justify murder in yhe eyes og the law everywhere in the world. The episoded show us, an abusive man cam't live without having a victim to abuse, so even one ran away or get away, he will always find new victim to abuse and will not forget the one who got away, as he saw them as his properties. And it is also show how desperate women in this kind of relationship and they with all their struggle had to resort by any means to bfeak free sometimes not thinking that no matter how they tried to cover it up, law will caught up with them eventually. So I think of you look from other perspective what these episodes are trying to tell viewers are, when you are abused, and the abuser mace you think that even ghe law can't stop them, they can always comeback and get back at you, as desperate and helpless you feel, you have to try to trust the law and muster up courage to defenf ypirself without hatming your future. You take law into your hands, by taking life it freed you from the abuser yes, but doing so you lost yout freedom as well and all what you had been through all the pain and misery will end at one point and to start again at another point as you will not ever feel free at all.
It is I think I call for women to stand up to abuse in the right way, to liberate themselvrs in a way thag truly liberating not doing things that not just they woll regret but aldo taking their fteedom and futute away from them.
Though there were some minor points in regards to So Jung and Myung Se dynamic, especially how she started to return to her old self (it was quite brushed off with a single sentence by Ha Ru that her condition might be temporary), it wasn't quite explored, especially how they reacted to the change of dynamics. Still this drama is a worth watch since it quite clever putting the polar opposites together and let them finding way to develop their own peculiar connection. The way it shows that as Ha Ru said in the last episode about the villain professor think so less of human brain, he thought brain can only work in certain direction hence the outcome of our action or reaction.
Lots of fun as well, at first I thought it was dry joke but then I laugh at the ordinary acts, the silliness, pettiness and the laugh, I mean it so ordinary if we look look at it with pre-conception about what joke should lool like, the stereotype, yet it still manage to make me chuckle spontaneously, and feel for every cases. It is not the greatest drama out there in this genre, still it is a great watch and not just poking your curiousity of the information presented (I literally had to stop to look up at those medical terms mentioned by Ha Ru), it is also have it moments when you can feel a gripping emotions.
Since I do like this kind of genre, so I find myaelf liking it. Both ML chemosty is great and their dynamics also really fun to watch. The cast do remarkable job, especially both ML. And since this story focusing on the duo (and their complete opposite brain/personality) so the other things that quite amiss not upsetting at all.
I love that the team work is really solid that each of them has their role and they did everything together as a team not one dominating. And it is also super cool that the FL and 2FL are both the muscle of the team with their great fighting skills and insane driving skills.
The cases also investigated imho properly with all their limitation put on their investigation, they managed to do all properly both with brain and leg work without too much super hi-tech support as we used to see in many modern police dramas.
And I really like the fact Capt. Jung always speak in Chinese proverbs. So the team indeed have what they need. The wise one on the lead, the brain Yeonho , the muscles So Hee and Hyeon Kyung and Dong Gi (Dong Gi could recognice what type/model and the year of production just by looking at body parts of the car is also really cool imho).
It wrapped up well, and leaving an open for second season probably? Without making it a cliff-hanger for viewers.
Like capt Jung's wife's hit and run case is still unsolve though they wrapped it up well here as if though he contemplated so much about it, he seemed to make TCI to prevent such thing happened and all crimes related to traffics. And Tae Joo as well and his cunningness, though managed to get off by cutting tails, at last episode So Hee made it clear she will investigate it properly as TCI now under national investigation office, where Tae Joo has no authority to disband or break the team as he wished.
Though I think they didn't plan for second season hence the ending, as they probably wanted to see how the drama ia accepted (since it's kind of new with story like traffic crimes), now with the Drama got such good rating and viewship, I guess 2nd season has a great chance to happen (well I hope so).
Supporter of children Killers Israel , he is piece of shit
Why he's a pos just because he shared his own opinion. People are entitled to their opinion, whether he support this or that it is within his rights like everyone else, just because you don't like his opinion to the extreme hating him personally shows the content of your character more than him being this or that.
Just because someone is celebrity and people demand them to support certain cause certain people and whatnot then if not they are hated and cursed at.
Everyone excercising their rights to have their own stance on issues doesn't make anyone who don't share the same stance any rights to curse and swearing at them.
And to talk as if he's ignorant on issues just because he has his opinion is blatant irrational, people have their opinion based on the information they received and processing it rationally. There is nothjng wrong for him to support Hostages in Hamas captivity, and why people so offended if someone supporting Jewish people, Israel or whatever and being branded zionists?
People need to have decent discourse with manners and respect even when we disagree or ob the opposite sides, and before you curse and swear at someone just because he has his own stance and opinion, do your own die diligigence on the matter, history, fact checking, and so on.
And really to insult someone's person with intent to defame and character killing because of his opinion is so low.
The fact that he's silent despite all the swear and hatred against him, shows that he's a better person.
To bully him into surrendering to your opinion will only make him having even more strong opinion.
Just because one is Palestinian doesn't give him/her right to shun, to swear, curse and name calling others just because they have their own opinion and speak their mind in their own place. Hate it not it is his right.
And then to keep using the rethoric if you support Israel means you are anti human rights, zionists etc are far fetched. Foreign countries have done alot and will continue to do so for Palestinian people, all the help and support and love and caring, yet keep being swear at and cursed at because it seems it never enough, like the world need to be dictated by the need. Palestinians need to wake up and stand up for themselves against their own corrupt leadership first that keep rejecting any opportuniy for making peace.
Don't project your hatred on someone....your hateful comment shows you will attack and smear everyonr who you think not supporting Palestinian cause. And the conflict in Israel and Palestine is not just geopolical, and it is not his responsibility to support Palestinian cause or even Israelis cause, to solve the problems and everything, and he is very much entitled to his opinion.
They set a mystery around the 2FL like where she lives and what not (like her background)but they haven’t touched…
Well we do not know yet if her father actually someone with high position in HQ or not, and if it's true if her father is a good guy or not. I think if there will be season 2 maybe about Taejoo, if he could get away with all his crimes in this season. Well, can't wait how this will end. I'd love to see second season but if there's no second season that's fine also as long as everything is wrapped up properly.
I have a sinking suspicion Lee Tae Ju is going to come out on top this season, leaving a ripe opening for season…
Agree, I think they will leave with open ending with Tae Ju either managed either stay in the police or get his way out from police to be the main villain in second season.
though I hope they just wrapped it all up in one season and it would be proper, but dang those car chases and crashes scene and bike riding and truck driving insanely like that just mindblowing and you just want second season just to see all those cool scenes.
They set a mystery around the 2FL like where she lives and what not (like her background)but they haven’t touched…
She probably the daughter of director of investigation in HQ as hinted by the chief and his partner when he brought back news that he triple checked that there's a child of director of investigation or something loke that in HQ, who is in their precint (TCI div) so the chief again started changing his attitude atowards them by calling them "my guys" when he took over the trailer accident case from another precint which the team find him calling them "my guys" is suspicious and not so him at all. Just my guess though, since she's the only one we do not know her family background this far.
Just like some other comments, I do agree that writers choice to make the srep brother as a main villain is kind of clichè, yet I think the twist is quite good that the real son was treates like the illegitimate son his whole life and the one treated as legitimate son turned out to be not the biological son at all. How Isoo misunderstood everything and how his father despite his kind of cold treatment for Isoo, he probably just afraid to face him and to explain something he couldn't accept himself (Isoo's mother's death, as he believed her to commit suicide), and on the other hand he kind of protecting him from the wife knowing how she treated him badly by keep him away from business and family affairs. It's kind of harsh but Isoo was raised spoiled too with all his misunderstanding of his fafher's cold and distant treatment of him. So it is cliché but not so cliché becaise we see this whole "business marriage" in upper class business society is quite common theme in Asian dramas, but well this drama presented a biological son and not biological son in reverse treatment which is quite interesting.
And well for all the harsh comments on FL and SML, yes they started of as petty dull and prejudiced against ML and hia antics, still it is more natural that way their development to become partners, than to have this out of the blue become all comfortable with each other, when you started with such contrast you get to feel their development ans theor bonding overtime as natural and realistic. It takes like more than half almost half episodes for FL to gradually accepting ML as colleague and more than half episodes for ML to accept ML. And it is also more natural that their development is not drastic into some sort of romance, but just colleagues, partners, friendship. It is a good steady build up, and well who knows in second season it will develop into romance. So it will be no surprise as the build up is already made in this season and it is a realistic and natural as they are. But I hope it in second season romanxe isn't the main focus of the drama though as it is kind of predictable where their realtionship will headed in second season, except the writer will surprise us with making them jas best partners (which I would prefer them to be) and focusing on their police work and solving interesting cases.
Hopefully they don't kill off the characters of Songsac, Janv Ryong and Yo Han, as the trio really lighten up the comedy. Really wish them to comeback along with main characters.
The only good about the drama is all the side cases, while the main case that supposed to be the backbone of the whole story is not just a total mess but total absurd.
Since first season there was no clarity as to why Seo Hyun Soo had to die (seriously they gave a glimpse that a recording device fell off on back seat of the taxi FL's farher drove when she qas abducted. What was that, never explained ,and what her relation with NL's fafher's law firm also never explained except another unclear statement by ML's father that Hyun Soo wasn't the person ML's knew. And why the father and secretary Kim had to plot to kill her. And why secretrary Kim appeared out of the blue without backstory and his relation to ML'a father and his law firm. We can only guess again by secretary Kim's words when he had a conversation with ML'a father that he too work for somepne else (like a hint that they either part of secret organization or he ran a clean up business).
And even more absurd that after being killed but then not killed at all, whose body was burried then as Hyun Soo? If she's alive and well somewhere and to comeback just to linger around ML to have her revenge on ML's fafher and pursuing secretary Kim? She knew who he was but she just let other people to die for her twice and seriously for what when she coudl ask for ML, SML or even FL tp help out (since the drama title is all about FL being the queen of mystery who supposed to be the main player here in solving the case, but they let the main story run separately while the FL was buay running here and there solving side cases). Even more upsetting that they made FL like side character as she never pass any police exam despite her success as civilian solving many cases, and made her friend as a police officer and a forensic investigator at that when it is a field that took not just years to study but also many years on the field of experience. Yet FL was made like a servant running here and there and at the same time solving cases too.
And even more upsetting is Hyun Soo is not just serve no purpose at all because in the end after making ML waiting in vain for 17 years, fliring and not flirting with FL and both acted like super dumb childish on not knowing how to deal with their own emotions, yet he also had to keep linger on his past and unable to move on but move on, so frustrating, while FL supposed to be a divorced lady who had been married for many years and still acted like naive teenagers with ML is also absurd. She's smart and fast yet stupid at the same time not being able to pass a test that everyone else able to pass? And not even know her own feelings wanting to be with ML and not wanting to be with him, like seriously foolish. It's a total mess.
And the sudden appearance of ML's big brother out of the blue, and what's his story that the last young arrogant criminal knew? How on earth a young guy knew about his past and use it to threathen him while his own brother is oblivious about it. He serve no purpose also in the drama but to replace his father and again thete is nothing about the law firm and secretary Kim again in the drama that started the whole story about Hyun Soo, FL's parents death, what's all thaf about? Nothing, not even a hint why.
Hyun Soo appeared to take revenge but there is no reason why? Why she had to be killed and ran away and comeback to take revenge? And even worse she failed and finally died for real again in vain. Nothing achieved. She knew that secretary kim is not just dangerous but also sly used to be in police force in infelligent department, and knew he's close yet she made it too obvious her cake shop around police station and not havjng first branch? And when she killed secretary Kim she didn't even bother check if he died or not? She just atood there, like seriously you knew this man used to be in police force and sly means aim for head not on the body because he should wear bullet poorf vest. But ok, she had to die in vain, what about joining hands with SML the profiler when she just went there herself to kill a man?
In first season FL is like all knowing person while not just ML but basically whole police officers and even forensic team were made lime fools that need FL's brain to work properly. And in second season, ML still the same fool and only profiler as SML and the leader of team one that having a little brain in him. And the forensic master, he's brilliant and silly eccentric behavior was the only thing interesting. Fl definitely lost her charm in thjs season but become just a total silly.
And even SML what his relation with secretary kim and the police chief? Why he investigated and super invested on the Hyun Soo and secretary kim and wouldn't even care to share with ML when they could workd together since it is related to ML and FL and they could be a great help for him. And secretary Kim just got away and so is ML'a brother, like they plan for season 3 but then it just not happening. Leaving every viewers in total frustration for all the unatended main backstory that left unresolved.
Having said all that all fhe side cases are worth the watch though. And the acting is superb also, really love all the casts acting especially FL, ML and SML and prof Hwang is the best treat of all :)
Cute show. I particularly enjoyed the performances and the chemistry between the cast members. On the other side,…
Well though they tried to make FL.as female sherlock-like and ML as watson-like but nope, FL.is super reckless unlike very precise and do all the legwork sherlock, and watson though not having in him what sherlock had in his brain, he's not a bickering type of person. And he's the great support and help, though he couldn't grasp what's going on in sherlock's head he always get there and the only one could understand sherlock and his antics, willing to understand him and willing to.accept him and be there for him as true friend and partner, someone trustworthy. And I iust don't get how this is a reference to them at all since their make "reference" and "make their own characterisation" of FL and ML is just like a civilian detective self inserted herself into cases and running errand police who do all thelegworks without involving so much brain in their supposed "police detective" work.
I'm watching ep 6 on netflix, I mean why are Russians in there all korean actors.... I laugh everytime, I speak…
They are Korean-Russian (mixed) if you watched other Kdramas, there are indeed Korean-Russian who are not considered Koreans by Koreans, and they have their own community I think. So they not necessarily could speak Russian as fluent as native Russians as they were born and raised in Korea.
Kim So Jin by far is one of the finest actress in SK imho. Not just her acting skills but also she's always being natural and original. Huge respect for her, and wish her all the best in her upcoming projects (well hope to see her more in Kdramas 😊).
I think this is to show even someone who is smart when it comes to the people you love, you can make mistakes…
She had no right to be mad at him for not stepping in sooner, he has every right to decide his timing and who's to save. The "brother" and his men who responsible for the death of many of his men did not deserve to save. And he saved not just FL, her aide, and her men were saved
She had no right to be angry at him for not saving her beloved evil brother, she had to be grateful even being saved. He just did justice to his men.
And she's shadow leader or not it is her army under her lead, given to her by her general father. She basically responsible as leader for every mistake made, she didn't do anything to her brother evil deeds. And among the men murdered were men she knew. Even they didn't blame her, as a leader, even a shadow leader she should be apologizing to them for her brother's betrayal. That's what a leader do. But she didn't. The story is not just make no sense but actually silly imhop. She was drscribed as this strong super intelligent that can beat up men in combat, but everytime she had to be saved by ML. And seriously CD has problem with make up, these actor supposed to be on war and everything but the heavy flawless make up make it so unteal and unrelatable, so misplaced. Always smh with the make up too.
No hard feeling, but this is indeed a very subjective opinion on the storyline and the bad writing of the character for FL. Seen better Cdrama with really believeable and realistic FL as commander in army. This one is just total meh imho.
What so absurd about this drama is FL thick make up, she's the only character with thick flawless makeup in every circumstance, like the reporter got kidnapped and we saw she got red face, but FL she's just thick white thick lipstick all the time. Like really? And she just ran about here and there by herself, even when trying tk get Jihoon, like no other officer with her and she never asked gor back up, like she would handle it all by herself when we see ML always have other officers come and go with him, but no she's always have to do it alone. And her sister is also a pain in the neck with her supposed sympathetic and kindness? If she didn't hide Jihoon and persuade him to just go to police knowing her sister being police, she hides her and her FL sister being a police didn't even act like police towards her sister hiding a suspect. Oh she's just young and being kind and her police sister is all talk about being rightheous and all but bend on the law when in comes to her sister. Jihpon wouldn't be dead if he was persudaded to turn himself in for the first time. FL lost Jihoon, but she didn't call for backup or anything, just go by herself, knowing her sister track app showing strange movement just report to ML instead of bringing in police officers, they just did it themselves. Like seriously? And the worst is it is alwahs her alone, her sister and her friend when trying to locate Jihoon, like there are no other police work on looking for the poor lad. He had to die for a scene of FL sister being sad and all? Make no sense at all. Poor Jihoon had to die for the stupid plot about revenge. The profesor just ended his revenge with the death of LMS, but not with his evil mothet who covered it all up, he just wanted to end it all up killing himself? And cut ties with Jihoon after using the poor young lad in his revenge and think things will be just fine for him, losing him again. He had to save them all, and die just like that, like really this is really absurd. They wanted Jihoon like a martyr but really make him die like that as if all his presence is just to achieve revenge not justice at all. There is no justice at all for him, he he was killed for nothing because in the end the evil mother was brought to justice in proper law process, and oh she was freed and viewers left with cliffhanger.
I really do not like all these idol or idolosing a person. Really useless and pointless and actually it jusf a marketing propaganda to rob one not just of their money but also common sense. The entertainment industry creating this idol culture exaxctly to make people obsessed beyond logic so they can make profit out of it.

Disregarding that one should be treated as innocent until proven guilty not just by the coury but by our common
sense.
Great acting, great casts, great delivery.
think
And the conflict in Israel and Palestine is not just geopolical, and it is not his responsibility to support Palestinian cause or even Israelis cause, to solve the problems and everything, and he is very much entitled to his opinion.
though I hope they just wrapped it all up in one season and it would be proper, but dang those car chases and crashes scene and bike riding and truck driving insanely like that just mindblowing and you just want second season just to see all those cool scenes.
Seriously disappointed story.
