EP04 is heated with utmost nudity and intimacy. The great thing about this, is the concept are still intact despite the amount of erotic scenes they give to the viewers. Some BLs only add these kinds of scenarios for the fanservice outcome. A big round of applause for the actors of this drama who dare to agree and undergo a full body skin exposure, well-appreciated. And once again, Tankhun’s hilarious behavior is such a happy pill. I was shocked and laughing at the way he slapped Vegas with the tray. I am highly anticipating the next episode because the tension is getting real.
When Song said these lines to his father, “I didn’t think I needed to tell you. We’ve lived together for so long. You should realize what I’m like. But I forgot that actually we barely spend any time together,” it's a deep realization for Song’s father. The father and son character development of appending the gap between them is nicely executed. I’m a little off to Mr. Sib’s cause of death and Mrs. Na’s keeping it a secret despite gaining back her logical reasoning. The ending scene is a hint that the drama would come to a sad ending and I’m not ready for it.
The show is getting better as each episode passes by. The newly recruited actor Kang Shi Deok, is a fine man I swear. I was captivated by his sharp good-looking face, husky voice, and the way he wears his tee in a simple yet sexiest style. He is indeed a fine and hot guy that I immediately followed him on IG to indulge his manly beauty. I’m sensing the same vibes I felt when I watched Hwang In Yeop during his rookie days as an actor. I wished that the Gukbap guy and the manager girl would end up as a couple in the story later on because they do have the cute chemistry floating in the air. Love the glimpse of song from the Heirs’ OST and the hilarious child-like drawing despite the cinematic view he seated at. I was shocked to see Im Sung Kyun, the main lead from the BL show Oh Boarding House! However, the drama once again gave us the cliche childhood trauma from the male lead. I’ve seen a lot of popular K-Dramas who also included this plots to their story, but I hope Sh**ting Stars will turn it as freshly as it may. Salute to Kang Yoo Sung for being the manager who will think out of the box ways to help his artist shine. His willingness to sacrifice something upon his control is amazing, he does care for his talents and at the same time professionally great at his job. So far, I am enjoying the scenes from the supporting characters more than the main.
Tears can’t stop flowing. To witness Mrs Na’s Alzheimer's disease that keeps eating up her memories is just pure sadness. The family picture and the garden party are wholesome. It's a bright idea that Nut holds a farewell tribute for her mother who still has most of her recollection, together with the closest people in her life. It also feels good to see that Nut’s teacher felt sorry and apologizes for the things she did that hurt both Nut and his mother. A character development that I wished to see from people in real life. The understanding that there are too many values in life and we need to respect the self-identity of every one since it's their own path chosen to walk through in life. But it feels so weird that Sean and Jane blamed each other before for Tarn’s incident and now they’re ended up being the real suspect. Tofu’s victorious stares whenever he tried to punch hits to the couple was stunning. Last two episodes, prepare your tissues for another heartbreaking scene.
The best effort award goes to Khluen, for his little yet heart fluttering support whenever Dao is in need of one. Phoon is so adorable, I don't want him to be hurt. The girl who also has a crush on Dao is a cutie too, she's not the typical cringe girl in a Thai BL. Part 3 of every Star in My Mind EP is consistently the best. Dao means stars & Khluen means waves -nice naming of the MCs. Khluen being sorry after raising his voice melts me. He really has a great personality. The child-like Dao roaming around the market with his overloading cuteness and the couple shirts they painted as a gift for each other, are scenes that are undeniably so comfortable to be seen. On the other hand, Phoon and his sad smile that he has to force in order not to notice the pain from Dao's indirect rejection of him is so sad. I really love his character but he is destined not to be the end game and I just hope he will have a happy ending. Along with Papang, who is one of the unusual rejected girls in Thai BL that I really felt sorry for. She is soft and needs to be protected too. There's too many people who have fallen for Dao and we can't blame them, simply because Dao is a lovable person. Rejecting someone is as hard as being rejected. When someone confesses to you and you feel this, it only means that you're a kind person. You need to be honest to the person but at the same time you don't want them to be hurt. Choosing the right use of words is the least thing you can do to lessen their pain for a bit.
It hurts deeply whenever the character who is suffering is Tofu. The first part of this episode is all about him enduring the pain from the after effects of Nut and Tarn’s tragic reunion. When Nut rejects Tofu kiss and stating that he is not sure if he still has feelings for Tarn, it surely puts a strain on Tofu’s modest heart. Fortunately, they fix it quickly with Nut’s reassurance of love to Tofu. Then, the bitter queen came into the scene. It is satisfying that Jan’s meal for the day is the scolding and advice she got from the people who know the value of living more than her. Nut harsh yet wise use of words works to roast the arrogant Jan. But in all fairness, the actress playing as Jan deserves praise since she did well holding her role. The plot leading to Saen as the great pretender and real criminal was somehow expected since they didn’t have too many characters to be suspected anyways. Another anticipated scene was when Nut finally learned that his mother is suffering from the symptoms of alzheimers. Sad thing to hear him say “Don’t I deserve to be happy?” :(
EP12. There’s nothing more touching than to finally witness Nut and his Mom taking a huge step to the ladder of distance set among themselves. The awkwardness is incomparable to the joyful heart they felt after engaging in each others’ warm embrace. Moving apart, how does Prib emerge from the fact that Tarn and Nut used to be lovers? I felt like I skipped an episode when she suddenly went to Nut’s house, dragged Tofu along with her, and notified him concerning Tatarn. Then, jealous Tofu immerses in a childish yet comedic approach combining reality and entertainment elements in storytelling is likable. I melted like an ice cream having contact with the sun’s rays when Kuenchai asked for a spot for himself along with the rest of the family to tag him to their travels. He is definitely the fluffiest dog in a Lakorn show. The greatest contribution why the show keeps getting more and more loveable is due to the artistic uses of words from their script or lines. It was so pleasing the moment they talked about history and flowers, connecting it to their real life situations. Why does it feel like they’re trying to slowly prepare ourselves for a tragedy? The show possibly ended up losing Tofu over Tatarn’s regaining his conscious. Conveying the message that fairy tales don’t exist and we will eventually end up going back to reality. My cup of tea conclusion, painful yet acceptable and memorable.
I’m really impressed with the main couple’s acting skills. They can flawlessly carry out the right certain emotion needed for the story. Their facial expressions, gestures, and eye contacts were so natural.
It’s all fun and cute but I’m here to remind you that rude artists do exist in real life, using their fame to commit unethical behaviors. Most of the time, those people working behind-the-scenes work the hardest just to let their star shine bright on-cam. So far, I do enjoy the storyline and feel like they’re going to offer us more. It is a great thing that the drama features actors with different kinds of personalities. Lee Sung Kyung and her wacky facial expressions never get old, iconic! Kim Young Dae is hot! This is not a BL drama but I ship those two actors who try to get the role from a popular writer, by the help of their respectives managers. Already expected the sudden change of attitude from the Happy Virus girl. Then, the boy who was potentially going to be street casted by the girl manager was really an eye-candy sweetheart. There’s plenty of cast and I’m loving it.
I keep laughing every Tankhun moment, his character was hilariously great. Both the porn-watching and bar party were my favorite scenes from this episode. Bodyguard Arm is incredibly sexy with his solid yet smooth rocky abs, the superman hairstyle, and that round nerdy eyeglasses. The dinner was served when he started to strip and dance at the bar hahaha. The cutie Pete also got my attention with his baby shark moves and the way he sleeps looking like a child in need of a cuddle. The kissing scene in the last part was okay. It doesn’t look as intense as I anticipated but I remember that this is their characters’ first kiss so it is good to start slow. The cinematography, setting, and music from this show has that vibes similar to the popular western action spy comedy movie, Kingsman. Feels like Porsche parents had a connection with Kinn’s father due to his special treatment despite being a new addition to the body guards.
I anticipated this show ever since I came across with the synopsis and cast. For someone like me who plans to work in the entertainment industry right after graduation, the storyline lights up my interest. I became even more engrossed that the roles are going to be portrayed by some of my favorite artists in the industry. It’s been awhile since the last time I saw Lee Sung Kyung and Lee Jung Shin in a drama. Both of them, along with some of the familiar faces in the cast, left memorable roles from their previous projects. So far, the pilot episode was able to give a good introduction to the workplace that is where the story is going to revolve around. It is absolutely great that Kim Young Dae and Lee Sung Kyung had the chemistry needed. The preview for the next episode is about the main leads’ bickering and I never get tired of it since it mostly adds colors and fun to the show. I also like to commend the wittyness of the title that may be derived into two definitions -shooting stars or shitting stars.
I wanna watch this but omg the episodes feel too long. 1hr and a half oof
Personally, it didn't feel like a waste of time due to the fact that the story was written in the most realistic way despite the fantasy element it had. Try it and I hope you'll not going to regret it.
The take of TMOTB on Nut’s story was one of the most realistic portrayal of a gay individual who unfortunately experience a severe emotional pain from his own parents. He was wounded for so long and it’s taking too much time to heal itself. That also resulted to bear grudges all throughout his life. I hope this drama will give way for those parents who are like Nut’s mother and father. Optimistically, they will understand how important it is for their child to receive sincere support for their gender identity and the path they choose. As long as it is ethically good without causing harm to others. I am so happy that as of now, I’ve seen a lot of dramas addressing this issue. When Nut say these lines, “I’m gay, I don’t have a disease, and it doesn’t go away,” you can feel how agonizing it is for a minor to explained this kind of uncontrollable feelings to his own mother, an adult who supposedly understand life but failed to do so. As a child, I can personally relate to Nut and his decision to distance himself from his mother. Yes, it is so sad that they ended up in this situation but sometimes this is the most prominent thing to do in order to achieve the peacefulness you keep seeking. Thankfully, Tofu’s existence helps them to slowly reconcile and open up their true emotions. It may take too long but it will be worth it. I love that the show doesn’t only center on a love story but more on talks about the deep affection that a family causes to its members. This isn’t about gay people alone, this is for everyone who needs to realize that acceptance and support is part of the so-called ‘love’ in life. Just look how different the parent-and-son relationship of Nut and Gen.
I really adore the acting from the freshy boy contestants. Their conversation was too natural and doesn't seem too scripted. I like Phoon's direct personality on admitting that he had a crush on Duen, Maithee's comedic personality is making me laugh, and Sean's sensor in detecting Khluen's feeling towards Duen is something amusing to be seen. He keeps trying to corner Khluen but ends up regretting it due to the cold and sharp stares he received haha. To be honest, their names are so hard to memorize that I needed to check out their character names on the net. Anyways, Fah is a cute addition to the series and I can't wait to see him in his main drama role too.
Khluen's husky and deep voice while asking Duen is so sexy. I'm all up for KhluenNuea but I don't want to see Phoon getting a painful ending, he is so cute and deserves a beautiful closure.
"When there's love, there's hope, as well as disappointment." -lines that are personally relatable.
The way they were so comfortable nestling on each other even though Duen was too drunk to notice it, was so romantic. Then it turned out to be funny when Sean woke up first and saw how deadly the stare of Khluen was to him hahaha. The moment Duen says that he likes a person who is attentive, Khluen was extra caring to him. Lending a support due to the injured foot Duen acquired and silently treating it when Duen is drunk asleep.
The only problem I can sense here is that Khluen is publicly known to have a girlfriend and his roommate Sean, somehow needs to talk to Khluen about this situation because condemning possible love affairs is important even though it is unintentional or a misunderstanding.
This episode shows that Khluen and his efforts are paying off since Daonuea is starting to feel butterflies once again. So, even Khluen's mother knew that his son likes Duen and it's so funny that she herself can't escape the pushing-away-peep scenario of Khluen. That time when Khluen sent signals to let him and Duen spend the rest of the night alone without her haha. But the more attractive scene is when Khluen was smiling so wide when Nuea and his mom had a little conversation after posting the drawing to the wall. This boy is really happy seeing that the two important person in his life are enjoying each other's company. Great to finally connect the drama's title when they talked about stars prior to the lovely playing in the pool scene. Once again, I can't wait for next Friday to come. Hopefully, one of them would admit their feelings since the series has only a few episodes left.
It's been a while since the last time I’ve watched a Taiwanese show. The pilot episode seems good on introducing the bond of the main characters. Great to see a BL taking into the field of law. The vibes remind me of Beloved in House: I Do and HIStory 4: Close to You.
Love the acting, the personalities of the characters, and the light and smooth flow of the story. So far, so good!
