After Kairos, MBC has produced another gem that unfortunately was not successful and it’s a pity because this…
Shin Han Soo had the right idea (for the most part) about working for corporations. his relationship with Ban Seok was nice. back and forth b/w them was always amusing to watch :)
yeah OCN does this genre better. I'm not sure about this director too :/
romance and thriller genre combo pretty much never works out in korean series. makers always end up reducing thriller part to just a filler in the series. or there's barely any romance and thriller dominates.

yeah. thriller plot was done badly. felt like it was added just to pad the runtime of 16 hrs. SML/SFL could've been utilized in a better way in the series :/
premise of those 2 sound so intresting. I've seen the movie I think. Keira Knightly one, right? I have not seen the series. I'll try to check it out :)
I've seen 'The Devil Judge' and there's nothing accurate in there. you won't make it past ep 3. lol. I watched it coz I wanted to see some good commentary on dystopian society and how both court and society reflect each other. but there's barely any of this. instead it turns out to be meh revenge series against rich and powerful. writing is ridiculously inconsistent. every character besides ML is written atrociously. there're a few series I'm looking forward to this year- Hometown (https://kisskh.at/688745-hometown) D.P. (https://kisskh.at/59001-d-p-dog-day) Hellbound (https://kisskh.at/57415-hell) One Ordinary Day (https://kisskh.at/685203-that-night) the last one is related to law and remake of a BBC series 'Criminal Justice'.
Jae Hak and his wife's subplot felt kinda rushed. like makers suddenly threw in everything in the same ep. like his conversation with Jun Wan about having no children in marriage, then getting pregnant and breast cancer also. he is a recurring side character of the series. it could have been set up better imo :/

oh then check out 'You are my Spring' (https://kisskh.at/70879-you-are-my-spring). it ended this week and also a Studio Dragon production. writing is lacking here too btw. lol.
I'd recommend 'Beyond Evil' among these 3. I dropped 'Law School' coz it was too similar to a TV series I watched back in the day. 'The Devil Judge' is also 'all style but no substance'. try 'Move to Heaven'. its quite good in all the aspects from emotions to acting to enjoyability to direction to music. writing is a bit contrived but its bearable looking at larger picture.
loved how relationship of Ban Seok and Da Jeong evolved through the course of series. they were pretty similar when it comes to work. Ban Seok's character is very easy to root for. competent, not willing to compromise his morality to move up corporate ladder, doesn't takes shit from anyone, provides guidance his juniors, passes witty sharp remarks and wears plaids all the time. Han Se Kwon was a douchebag. he was opposite to Ban Seok when it came to competence and morality. he got me worked up a few times throughout the series. Ja Yeong's character was sort of in the grey. somewhere b/w 2 MLs. but she was more similar to Ban Seok when it came to work. her development was really good. dynamic b/w 3 leads was very enjoyable. props to both actors and the actress. they gave a wonderful performance :)
