lol. I've noticed most viewers on this website rate dramas as 9/10 or 1/2. there's no in between.

lol. yes. I found myself wishing for parting ways ending in the last 2 weeks or so.
find yourself, learn to respect yourself and most importantly learn to love yourself. Letting go and moving on would've shown JW's character growth from a obsessive borderline alcoholic too.
an open ending. like they bump into each other couple of years later in the last frame.

it's a good ending but not the best.
tbh SY character should've been explored more if makers wanted this ending. and show scenarios when she's completely in control of body and not BH being overwhelmed by SY's emotions. latter scenario is quite confusing to grasp esp if you start thinking about genderfluidity.

same. I'm okay with most of this ending. I did wanted BH to meet reincarnation of king in future though. lol

2 wrongs don't make a right. I reiterate- comparing FL's character to terrible MLs of a decade ago should tell you the problem.
Of course she can redeem herself here. But her redemption arc also fell flat coz it was all packed and done hurriedly last 2 eps. Her issues were important and they should've shown how she dealt with them like getting a consultation or smth instead of just starting dating again and saying we'll figure it out together. This is lazy writing imo. You can flesh out the self-esteem/confidence/lying issues then properly flesh out her progress too. Now that will be 'refreshing' and 'unique'. Also, 8 hours is enough time to do that coz story was heavily focused on main couple.

Some flirtatious back and forth. like hinting at romance but not doing it explicitly. both characters are shown to be caring about each other but don't go out/date. most times there's an open ending b/w them.

yeah BI saving queen scene is reminiscent of Boromir saving Frodo scene from LOTR. BI tried to kill queen too just like Boromir tried to kill Frodo before sacrificing their lives fighting off soldiers/orc. letter of corruption can be the ring. LOL

Many people don't appreciate Chicago typewriter much so I was surprised to see it make your list.

lol exactly. times are changing. there isn't anything 'refreshing' about the story/dynamic of main couple. the fact that you can find common threads b/w FL's character and old typical MLs should tell you everything. reverse the sexes of main couple and viewers will find them vexing to watch.
just coz EO is a female doesn't automatically makes all her actions/behavior okay. same goes for those old MLs. its time to stop romanticizing these unhealthy behavior/ relationships altogether.

yeah they're better off breaking up if they value their lifestyles a lot more than person they're in relationship with. letting it drag on is just unhealthy.
i agree their relationship deserved to be better explored than main one. same for SY-KG.

The mom thing made the difference for her imo. She went for the breakup straight coz her mom also did the same to her which hurt her deeply. If he knew about her situation, there would not have been much of a communication gap b/w them.

Also, I never said cousin was in the right for lying. But he's not wrong for questioning her priorities or her future as long as they're in a relationship.
She knew his priorities. Her novelist friend even told her that he wants to get married and have stability in life. I don't think she ever made her position clear to him (like straight up saying I won't change my stance on this in future either) which is why he insisted her to do this or that. If she ever did cleared it up with him then do tell me coz I might've forgotten due to these JW-EO hoopla.

yes. it would've made JW-EO story less grating and other couples story would have some depth and viewers could grasp proper understanding of their actions.

LOL. she said she wants to work on herself and folded quickly on her resolution after JW avoided her for a bit which is what she asked from him. haha

it felt like writer/makers wanted it to be realistic and typical rom-com at the same time. They couldn't find a proper balance.

LOL. yeah cousin is right to ask her those questions. i think she just wants to avoid responsibility. Permanent jobs comes with major responsibility and repercussions if you screw up. same goes for relationships.
And it does not means cousin can view her lifestyle/choices in contempt. It's her choice. But someone who's in relationship with her can ask and deserves answers for above questions.
