Dropped before finishing episode 1, had a great vibe but I expected something more realistic even with the different…
I went in thinking the same. but I love the dystopian premise so much that I wanted to see how makers will play with it and ended up disappointed by the end.
No. this series is not even in ballpark of 'Beyond Evil'. this lacks in every single aspect from direction to writing to acting when compared to 'Beyond Evil'. Its not as enjoyable as 'Taxi Driver' either even though both TD & TDJ are pretty close in main aspects.
main romance pairing felt lukewarm to me although I liked both of them separately. their breakup was def out of place and unnecessary. wanted to see more of Ian Chase and Ga Young. didn't care much for side characters. thriller part was totally underwhelming and unneeded in this series. I feel like it was added to pad the 16 hr runtime and nothing more. acting was okay. direction and cinematography was nice too. I appreciated some msges about mental health throughout the series. recommended if you're into 'mellow romance'. look elsewhere for thriller.
While I agree with you on most part, we never know what the screen writer intended to view it as. It is just as…
lol that's how it goes. popular actor getting the girl at the end in a romance movie/series makes everyone happy apparently. it seems that at the end a lot of actors' fans don't give 2 shits about other aspects that makes the story.
what are they doing with gyuyoung hair lmao...what kind of style are those
yeah. her usual hairstyle like the one in profile picture is great. maybe this one will grow on me as I watch this series. lol I'm trying to keep an open mind :/

oh I know it's not open at all. Its just that retort about one of main leads being open to interpretation after watching 10 hrs of content surprised me.
The views in love is seem to me becoming shallow here trying to defend what was wrong in this series. In my over…
these kinds of stories just perpetuate such shallow and immature views on relationships. like trying to normalize such unhealthy behavior by grown ass people. even try to romanticize it. say that it is realistic when it is far from that. sure everybody makes mistakes which is nothing but a learning curve to avoid same thing in future. even though this series is lacking in a lot of aspects, it still had a wonderful chance to sent some heathy and worthwhile message about relationships and self concepts at the end. but makers had to shit the bed.
yeah apparently majority of users don't find that to be a problem. it blows my mind how many are willing to romanticize…
this story is meant to be introspection into both leads, or atleast into FL's psyche. they didn't do any of that in 10 damn hrs. instead filled it with corny dialogues, useless love triangle, blank stares (x100) and a bunch of side characters with a more interesting dynamics.

yes. that's true for some viewers. and there's nothing wrong with enjoying that. but don't try to justify it by painting this series as some philosophical thought provoking, realistic masterpiece when it really is nothing more than a shallow plot about 2 college going adults with raging hormones :/
Seriously, it was creepy to see Jae Eon in the morning in her aunt's house, helping her like they are acquaintances…
look I'm not here to debate the degree of assholism in ML. point is that he is not to be romanticized for his unhealthy behavior. I never said FL is a well rounded character. she fucking sucks in this series. I had hoped she would get some development by the end and realize her issues & move on but she didn't. I have said this in my other comments as well, she needs to do some good amount of work on herself before getting into a relationship with anyone. there was at least a hint to some issues about FL. with ML, there was pretty much no background or insight given into his behavior. but viewers need to stop projecting a romantic light on the guy who clearly has done nothing to justify that.
I would love it, too-they just have to get cast who are willing to do shorter series (still as much commitment…
I mean, 6-8 hrs is ample runtime to do that. as for the pay, everyone involved in production gets paid less. less eps means production quality can improve. no more bs story threads added just to pad the runtime which happens all the time in korean series. Its digestible in romcoms but its not acceptable in thrillers where screenplay should be compact and straight to the point to land a good impact on viewers. pacing is also an issue in usual format. they usually start to drag in second half. yes. this cast certainly looks very good on paper. lets hope they work it out in the series too :)
