Ah, okay so sounds like he actually became true friends with Dylan and Zitao! He seems genuinely nice and he got along with his sibling. From the show I thought he was an “I“ person. He was silly, naive, innocent, and socially awkward. I will give him that he can spin a tale with a straight face. I did laughed at him, but overall, many of the viral moments I watched is not with him. If it wasn’t for the melon activity he would have faded into obscurity for me.

I don’t know why you call Ziheng an idiot, but maybe I really did missed all his good parts because he was not memorable for me. 😄 I also didn’t watch his viral clips. The only funny part I remember of him was towards the very end for the melon exchange activity. He was being an idiot, but isn’t that a little too late? I really felt he was struggling on the show that the others helped him out. They tried to build his confidence. So maybe it was a good experience and there’s growth for him, but I really wished they cast someone else more interesting, that can bring something to the table more than he did. I really didn’t care for him and won’t miss him. If Yaowen won’t return this will be sad for me. He’s totally eye candy for me. He’s not introverted, he is just chill, a bit showy, he’s confident, and has all sorts of cute expressions. He also bickers with HZT.

All along Ziheng is such a wallflower on the show that Didi had to help him by directing questions and topics to him just so Ziheng can have screen time otherwise he disappears on this show. Having a couple of days off in between activities is not a vacation. He should take a couple weeks off and spend time with his mom, but he did not get to do that before starting JMDH. After filming the Inn he suddenly he had to go on roadshows for PAAA also (the director wanted a summer vacation showing, but they were pushed into the Spring Festival showing).
I of course understand the dynamics between the Yu Zhou crew, but I don’t care, I prefer to X out Huang Xiao Ming and Ziheng, keeping Yu Yang is fine he is great fun duo with DD. The other two can be replaced and I hope they won’t return and give those screen time to someone else.

In my opinion besides WHD, HZT, and LYW the rest are replaceable. People tuned in because of these three, especially LYW is super popular, even having more active fans than Didi.
