You want the ML whose father killed both parents of the only girl he loved right in front her, giving her not…
I absolutely agree with you. I gave this a try few months back but dropped it after few episodes. Trust me, I love angst and I can watch slow burns. But this I struggled with. I just could not take it. And yes Jang ki Yong did make it difficult. I finished My Mister recently, and there he did an angry goon role and it suited him perfectly. I am sure his other shows must be good but dont know why, just couldn't digest this π
I know I am very late to this but I just completed it today. I think if you are at a low point in your life, you might find this drama soothing to your soul. This drama is clearly not for everyone. I love angst and honestly its not everyone's cup of tea. I really didn't mind the age gap since both of them were adults. At the beginning I really wanted them to fall in love but as the show progressed, I was amazed at how they could keep the story going beautifully even without the romance. I really loved the bond the ML and FL shared by the end of the show. All in all, its a simple story but narrated beautifully !! Its in the lane of Something in the Rain, One Spring Night, Just Between Lovers..... So if you liked those, you will definitely like this one!
Reasons why I think they are dead and this is just me rambling because it destroyed me 1. they (Mugino mostly)…
I watched this today and I can see myself agreeing with you totally. I, too thought they died because when they came out, it wasn't raining anymore and completely dried. Oh my poor heart couldn't take that πππ
True but many persons lack sympathy for Mo because when she confessed to Kam that Sek actually loved him instead…
Agreed! But looking at her situation, I think she did not have any other option as well. Since they adopted her, she was indebted towards them. She was not educated as well, so she knew she would survive in this world only if she does as they say. Of course, I am not justifying that but she did want to go to Bangkok for work which Sek did not allow as he needed someone to look after his mom. It felt like she was obligated to accept whatever terms & condition Sek or his mother put in front of her, like a payback.
I see many here cursing the character Mo. Guys, you need to understand the story.... I feel the real villains were SEK and HIS MOTHER. Here's why...
1. Sek used both Mo and Kam for his own benefit. No, I do not believe he loved Kam because the deed was in his name solely whereas it was Kam's money entirely. The lawyer/govt. official also told him later the same thing - They should have planned better which means provisions were there for both of them to be joint owners. Sek also used Mo at the same time misleading her for 10 years that he would marry her and then he just left her for Kam (seems like it was for his money). Mo did not deserve that !! She was forced to be a caregiver/nurse for his mother. They took her in as a child but sure as hell made her pay with her entire life.
2. That mother was selfish always. Even after her son died, she was saying 'after my son, everything of his belongs to me!' I mean Wow! She also took Mo for granted and made her suffer through out. Even when Mo begged for the property, she claimed 'did I ever accept you as my daughter in law?' I mean come on... how shallow and selfish one person can be?? She only wrote the deed in Mo's name after she realized that Mo wasn't coming back and she would be helpless without her. Selfish as hell...
Mo wasnt greedy... The way SEK and his mother treated her... they made her like that !! And that's how human emotions work!! You become bitter and selfish after people have taken you for granted or used you for own selfish purpose.. She just craved for someone to belong to or just have something in her name which would give meaning to her existence.
Moβs greed is what led to her misfortune in life. Just because you are greedy and want everything to yourself…
She wasn't greedy. She was mislead by her man for 10 years ultimately just to end up being his mother's caretaker/nurse. She did not deserve that. No one deserves that. Still she was looking after the old woman. Anybody would be pissed!! It doesn't justify her actions but surely made a lot of sense behind her pent up emotions/anger/betrayal which she felt.
What a brilliant watch this was!! 9 for me! People don't understand that sometimes a simple story telling if made correctly can do wonders. This is one such JBL. I loved that it was actually a school romance but smoothly showcasing the growth of the characters without feeling rushed. And I was so happy that it did not have all those over the top scaredy cat childish behavior (esp. that getting surprised reaction like you have seen a ghost) you see in many JBLs. People who are into JBLs would know what I am talking about. Kudos to entire team for making such a realistic production!! Hats off to Junsei and Kenshin..!! ππ»ππ»
DID NOT see that coming. π
Why did I do this to myself??? Arghhhh...

Also, that doesnt take away his acting skills.
