I was still going to watch it going in knowing it was an cliffhanger ending but i now see what you mean it's taken on some US style, it's giving Hollywood and with I'm going to assume no clear answers on its ending nor a season 2 I'm very unsure to continue 🤷 Hollywood/American style stuff isn't really my thing which i why i don't watch it so i might give it a chance another time
Idk if this show gets better or not but ep 1 is triggering as hell. Suicide is presented as a choice that deserves…
"Are "mere words" enough to save someone who wants to end his own life? I think many people who are emotionally struggling need someone to talk it out… a simple talk may not end their years of problems and make them a smiling person again but it could be of little help" As much as i agree that Koo Ryeon's way of talking someone out of suicide is very unrealistic and as someone who's experienced suicidal thoughts and will live with depression my life bc your right, it doesn't just go away but you do learn to deal with It and not let those thoughts get to you. In the moment that might work and could be what trigger something in their head and start actually working towards getting better so it can be a help in the moment which is their job, getting better and the future along with that is up to the person themselves.
While i am bothered by the world building that suicide is a crime and such, i did love tht stories and cried in almost all the episodes, some meanings and how things are put i liked but their are other things that are make me feel iffy and make it not perfect. "Our blues" had a couple episodes of depression and it was done really well which makes me feel iffy about this one since when i first watched it i remember loving it but re-watching i see some problems that could've been written/done better
I only seen 2eps So far on my re watch and my terrible memory won't let me remember if their treatment on suicide prevention gets any better but a full re-watch eventually could change my opinion to either side 🤷
I know that suicide does not work like that and that mental illness and trauma does not disapear with some words…
Koo Ryeong eventually says "Our job is to offer them comfort, sympathy and support rather than a solution. They're the only one who can free themselves" so they aren't saying it disappears and they never struggle again, their job is to help in the moment to stop them from suicide and the future is up to the person themselves.

An interesting addition to the supernatural mystery thriller genre, full of fascinating Korean folklore elements,…
When i read "Yeom Hae Sang teaches Korean folklore at a university' and seeing "full of fascinating Korean folklore elements," in your comment makes me SUPER excited for this! Folklore and supernatural are my two favorite things and combined together makes me so hyped to watch this!! Also Kim Tae Ri <333 It also makes me happy seeing/hearing Oh Jung Se bc he plays one of my favorite character in one of my favorite kdramas <3 Great casting honestly, Kim Won Hae i love him everytime i see him and same with Jin Seon Kyu
THIS IS GENIUS. So so twisted & dark. What the hell did I just watch?!I thought this was a general crime & suspense…
I have to admit i was disappointed watching throughout after hearing it was supposed to be amazing, i was suspicious of chaoyang cause some of his actions were off to me but until i read about the hidden truth and how important some scenes were that truly showed what was really going on behind it and how well hidden truth played into their censorship issue over there made me understand why it got such good reviews, re-watch it definitely in order now you know what was really going on to see why it actually good.
(Spoiler) i mean it was odd how the focus was Zhang as the bad guy gives a hint that's not all that's to it. Not only that but the name, specifically the native name "hidden corner"
I remember when it didn't even have a poster ðŸ˜
Add all my favorite actors together- Kim Won Hae,Jo Jae Yoon and Kim Tae Ri and it would be the perfect drama for me
PLEASE BE KIM NAM GILL, 2 of my favorite actors together would make me so happy
I absolutely love everything he's in, he deserves a main role!!!
Him and Jo Jae Yoon are my favorite actors ever, i immediately smile when i see their in something I'm watching
