Changing of the female leads was decided from EP1 of S1 you'll realize it. Just go on... nothing will seem to change once you start watching S2 after watching S1...... Things were changed soo naturally that you wouldn't realize the difference.
This explanation might give you an answer to your que.... (Don't get me wrong. That scene was somewhat off for me too and I am expecting a good explanation to that in further episodes.)

About the bamboo forest scene- Jang UK says that he heard this line-' Its better to die than to do nothing' many times when he is has decided to quit, and says that he found another way to get rid of the burden he is carrying....... So my que is what he is 'quitting' and what other way he is talking about?

Yes!! Actually a square😂...... The triangle thing was cleared in S1 but I think they are bringing it again. Don't worry its not very annoying one up till now for me.....

These are the reasons why this story has more chances of having a sad ending...... They won't let Naksu live in peace once everyone finds out..... No way they'll let Uk and Yeong to live together like a happy couple...

Okay! Everyone saying that he did thought of killing Naksu which is a complete fooolish or unjustifiable action but no one talking that he stabbed himself with that sword getting rid of Naksu and himself at the same time to put a complete end to every problems that are arising......... About S1 him doing nothing was because he was completely helpless. He was ordered to leave the place and return back that means he was left with no reason to do anything and just to follow the orders........
