On Desperate Mrs. Seonju Mar 10, 2025
This shameless adulterous halfer, who has shown a blatant disregard for the vows she once took, is finally getting a taste of her own medicine. It’s a bittersweet irony, as her actions have led her down a path where she must now confront the consequences of her choices. Thankfully, her husband, despite being painfully aware of the betrayal, has not yet decided to take any extreme actions that would further complicate their already tumultuous relationship, especially since they are still legally married. The current state of affairs is nothing short of a recipe for frustration, which, I must say, could very well lead to her own emotional downfall if she continues on this trajectory. The environment she has created—one filled with deception and discontent—will be her undoing if she doesn’t take decisive action soon. If she truly believes that the passion and fire she so desperately craves cannot be found within the confines of her marriage, then perhaps she should consider the option of divorce (sign the paper already). After all, she was the one who spent so much time vocally lamenting her husband’s inability to meet her emotional and physical needs.

In her quest for fulfillment and excitement, she sought out the arms of another; a fellow adulterer who, in his misguided sense of entitlement, appears to think he has the authority to dictate who his ex-wife should or should not associate with. This new relationship, rather than bringing her the fulfillment she sought, only adds another layer of complexity and complication to her already chaotic life. It stands as a testament to her poor choices and an acknowledgment that the thrill she chased might ultimately lead to her undoing. In the end, it seems the solution to all this turmoil is clear: it is time to make a decisive choice and move forward, instead of continuing to wallow in this treacherous web of infidelity and emotional chaos.

I find myself utterly exasperated and completely wearied by this incessant presence of that insufferable old hag.…
It’s about time you finally take a stand for yourself and assert what you truly want in life, especially when it comes to standing up against that fool who has been nothing but a source of frustration and disappointment for you. Listen, girl, do not trust him for even a second. He has repeatedly failed to uphold any of the promises he made when he was charming your father and the rest of your family into agreeing to your marriage. I cannot express how relieved I am that you chose not to go along with him in the end. If you had, he would have undoubtedly dragged you back into the nightmarish situation you once endured, especially while you were pregnant. Can you imagine the toll that would have taken on you?

This man really needs to come up with a new expression; that sad, puppy-dog face he constantly puts on just isn’t convincing anymore. We see through it, and quite frankly, it doesn’t resonate with us as it might have in the beginning. It's time for him to find another approach that doesn't involve attempting to elicit sympathy through that same tired look.

Now, let’s take a moment to address the character of the female lead's father. I have to ask, what is the actual purpose of his character? In all honesty, I find myself questioning his relevance to the overall story. So far, he has shown little to no growth or development, and I struggle to understand why the writers are choosing to keep him around. Furthermore, can we talk about the way they are dragging out this entire storyline involving him being the one who supposedly killed the male lead’s father? The pacing of this plot is excruciating. If I’m being completely candid, this story could have easily been told within 50 episodes without the excessive filler that has led us to the current count of 120 episodes. It's painfully clear that the dragging out of the narrative is ridiculous and unnecessary. The plot has lost its momentum, and it’s becoming increasingly difficult to stay invested in it as a viewer.

I find myself utterly exasperated and completely wearied by this incessant presence of that insufferable old hag. I know that I made the decision to walk away from this drama after episode 20, feeling as though I had witnessed enough absurdity for a lifetime. Nevertheless, I've returned in episode 100, hoping to rediscover some remnants of enjoyment in the show, only to find that this old fart lis making the entire experience even more unbearable than the array of foolish characters that I previously despised. Honestly, if she hadn't strongly opposed the marriage from the beginning, perhaps her precious son wouldn't have felt the need to abandon her nagging and overbearing presence that lead to his death (technically).

To make matters worse, there is another character who is driving me to the brink of insanity—this complete and utter excuse for a father, otherwise known as a sperm donor. I mean, seriously, Mr. Cheating Husband, why are you now pretending to care about anyone's feelings or well-being? You, along with your insufferable mother and father, can utterly rot together in your own self-created hell because none of you deserve to be part of Momo’s life. Let’s not forget how terribly you all treated his mother when she was carrying him; it was as if she was nothing more than a piece of trash in your eyes.

And let’s talk about the real kicker in this situation: your wealthy, manipulative, and downright selfish daughter-in-law—the one you and your son have always coveted. It's truly laughable! If you are so desperate for grandchildren, why not just turn to her and ask her to pop one out for you? She fits your twisted family dynamic perfectly, after all. It’s infuriating to think that while Momo's mother received nothing but scorn, the very person who represents everything wrong with your family is held in such high regard. What a tangled web of dysfunction! 🙄😠😡🤬
