I’ve seen those mentioned and sadly none of them wowed me. I wanna give her a chance because she’s such a cutie. And have excellent screen presence. Maybe after this and her Cheng Yi one I will feel different. Thank you for not attacking me. 💜 Sometimes it’s hard to voice your opinion without others bullying you.

I wanna see Yang Zi in another republican period drama. She was so good in the battle of Changsha when she was younger. Seeing the Weibo mashup videos of her and Xu Kai. Or just by herself has me wishing for one. Anybody else wanna see her in a modern republican period? I want her to be the daughter of an official with a dark underground mafia. So her character should be like snobby cold ice queen who’s ruthless but misunderstood soft. And if she takes such a role who shall be her main lead? What are you guys thoughts and your choices?

Love the drama and knew what i was getting into since i read the novel. However; i do wish the mother scenes were cut shorter than what was giving. I also wished we couldve gotten more romance. The drama has a great marriage feel one of yang zi earlier dramas just without the over the top mother.

I wanted more from this drama but again i understood they were following the novel. Will i re-watch this drama again? Yes, ill just skip the family drama.

I hope so but i dont want it too be boring or joined with her sibling. I want her and Ming to have a wedding at the hotel very posh mixture of 90s shanghai with a western feel

Why I respect your opinion I think differently. As to why people dislike certain actors that’s not something I can answer. Why do birds fly? To me I can’t answer that question you know lol I do wish everyone can agree to disagree peacefully. As well as like who they feel is a good actor or not. Some Chinese fans can be over the top but I hope her other dramas are going to aired soon

Well this only wishful thinking and melon right now. But billing won’t be an issue if both got paid equally. Most cases it can happen also it’s also up to directors and actors. Fans can be much but if it can help their fav they sometimes let it be. I know Xiao Zhan would be fine with this as him and Yang Zi are friends

I don’t think it’s about him. On Weibo people were picking at Yang Zi for this drama. Some Xu Kai fans thought she was a let down on this drama. Then there’s the fact the mother was a huge issue . Some felt like she was the star. Then the barely romance which was expected for the low ratings. But I haven’t heard anything bad about him. I hope he can have the same success all her other MLS have once worked with her. He’s already popular but working with Yang Zi will give him much needed support

Haun company is looking to take legal actions towards anti fans who rate dramas lowered than they should. BCE douban score was 6.4 too low especially going off data. They’re upset the drama was rated unfairly due to people not liking Yang Zi. It’s about time China take back their gov power from crazy fans. Granted the drama for the most part wasn’t my cup of tea. Due to the nagging mother, spineless dad and ex. I still enjoyed and love the drama. Will I watch it again? Yes but only for the main couple , the business aspect and the second couple. Plus the grandma. I hope Xu Kai wants to work with Yang Zi again. I know in one of his interviews he spoke on how he can call Yang Zi either Zi or another personal nickname . Because she gave him permission as they got close during their time.

I wanna see Yangzi in some of these Liu yuning rumor dramas. Think they’ll be cute. I also hope she and Xu Kai can do a modern period drama together. One of her rumor dramas is with Xiao Zhan. Though I wanna see them act together again in the rumor drama for 2025. I don’t wanna deal with his over the top fans

Best choice is good i wont lie i hate the mother. She’s ruining the drama for me. Thank gosh the storyline is good and im a yang zi & xu xai fan. I hope yang zi do wuxia or period next. Maybe a darker role and lay off the family oriented modern dramas.

Yang Zi recently did an interview and the article it suggested she wanted to try other roles. So she does hear us fans but if the script isn’t good. She won’t take the role. She also mentioned being happy to play an antagonist character in Yolo. She wants more roles like that for her. I hope her wishes come true. Her YOLO character was almost like her My Mowgli Boy. Waiting on a darker grey area character for her.
