Also does anyone else notice that in the historical dramas that the second leads almost ALWAYS die.
yap that`s right, like in 'the moon that embraces the sun'. And sometimes the second lead is really kind at the beginning, then he becomes a jealous and bad person with a sad background-story and at the end they die and leave as the pitiful heroes.

Was schaust du im Moment?

Title After the Flowers Spoiler
ok this was surprising. First you think it's a love story, then there is a twist you would never expect and then it turns into a mystery-story, then a fight-movie and at the very end it's...what would you call it. I don't know. It gives you the feeling of....there will be happiness, or somethjing like that. ;) And I was actually close to tears at some laces, which is pretty rare. Anyway it's worth watching if you have nothing else to do.

Hero is a legend! And Pride was the best love story in a most unexpected way I ever watched!!! In most dramas you hear the main lead think or see a lot of those clichee-love-scenes. But Pride lets you think for yourself. It surprised me so many times and never went as I expected. I always got goosebumps when 'I was borm to love you' started.^^ His acting skills are also top-notch. I'm only a little sad caus' he's already so old. I loved his dramas of the 90's and shortly after and I want to see more dramas of his younger years. Someone, please, rewind the time!!

Very good article!! I loved this drama very much, but I had a problem with Kangto until the end. He treated everyone like sh**, tortured them and beat up his seemingly handycapped brother. And then he becomes a hero and no one complains. Well, even I rooted for him in the end, but I always had to think of his previous actions. Sry to all Kangto fans, but my favourite is his brother!!

Thanks! I love both dramas almost equally, but in different ways. If I had to compare...I liked the way City Hunter punished the bad guys better and CH was more compact. So it's is still my winner :)

Hmm... they should've made this into a drama not into two films. They did well putting the script together, but…
same here. there were so many scenes I wanted to see!! In the manga there was always a very special atmosphere, you could almost see the the big fat letters YOUTH and NOSTALGY when they thought about their HS-time. But I didn't really feel it in the movie. Great actors, great story, but not enough space for real feelings. despite that I was glad to see it.

Kim nana was so pretty! Really, before watching city hunter I didn't think a korean woman could be so cute (sry to all other actresses) I tried watching bridal mask, but it just wasn't my style. As you wrote, CH is a little more shallow, but that's why it's more easy to watch for a foreigner. I think a similar Hollywood film is something like Batman(revenge, mask, acton).

It's on dramacrazy :D I missed some scenes I really loved in the original. But oh well, two of my favourite actors in one of my favourite stories. They should have made a drama!!

Hana Kimi, I laughed myself under the table. Was my first asian drama ever so I thought all would be crazy like this. Never saw anything that was so crazy and still absolutely worth watching before.
thumps up.
