Nope, The Heavenly Sword and Dragon Sabre takes place about 100 years after the stories of " The Condor Heroes". The Southern Emperor is about the Dali Prince turned monk, Yi Deng, and The Northern Beggar, Hong Qi Gong. They are two of the greatest martial artists of that time. The other three great martial artists are Ouyang Feng (Western Venom), Huang Yaoshi (Eastern Heretic), and Wang Chongyang (Central Divine). The other side stories will focus on these five and other important characters around them. I am most interested for them to explore more into Ouyang Feng and Huang Yaoshi back story!

Agree! I wish there were more wide shots, instead of close up chest slapping. I didn't mind the shoe fighting part. One to eps 2. I hope it gets better!
