is it just me or is the skin smoothing or filter they have on really distracting... im going to watch this regardless…
The skin smoothing is one of my complaints. I believe that the selected filter occasionally causes it to clash; it's not consistent. Some scenes appear really good, while others are shiny, and the light reflection is off. I prefer their bloopers/BTS lens.
Oaky you are the one that did the translation of PA back when?
Did you guys know after 7 Years, LGX wechat still list ZLY as 星儿/Xing Er on his contact list haha. Her contact list his name is 狗哥213/ Gou Ge213 (Dog brother , 213 is his birthday) hehe. just randome facts.
The recent episodes were deeply moving and held my attention throughout. Coping with the loss of a loved one is…
Hehe ahh the PTSD remians for all PA fans lol. Yes I hope the drama do this novel justice, and not rush the ending like 95 percent of Cdramas out there!
The recent episodes were deeply moving and held my attention throughout. Coping with the loss of a loved one is always challenging, especially when juggling other responsibilities that demand your strength and composure for the sake of those around you. It was a relief to see Shen Li return to the mortal realm to continue her grieving. From my observation, Shen Li's return to the Spiritual/Immortal realm seemed to leave her somewhat detached and emotionally distant. It's understandable for someone who's lost someone close to them to feel spaced out or emotionless.
Despite the pain of her memories with Xing Yun, there was also comfort in revisiting those happy moments. Learning more about Xing Yun's life after her departure may help her find closure. I felt that she experienced more relief than sadness upon discovering he was never married, yet sadness arose because he had lived his life alone.
The scene at the riverside between Shen Li and Xing Zhi was beautifully crafted. The use of the natural setting was a visual feast; I appreciate that they avoided using CGI backdrops in the mortal realm. The special touch of their memories projecting across the river, where Xing Yun saved Shen Li in Phoenix form, was well executed and helped the audience relive that beautiful moment.
The confrontation itself was mature and composed, showcasing Shen Li's resilience and strength as a character. She stands out as a heroine for her ability to maintain rationality even in difficult situations, regardless of her romantic entanglements. Lin Geng Xin's portrayal of Xing Zhi was particularly noteworthy, especially his subtle expressions during the conversation. The disappointment in his eyes when Shen Li expressed that Xing Yun and Xing Zhi weren't the same to her spoke volumes.
I pity that Xing Yun had to spend the remainder of his life missing Shen Li every day and even kept her clothes next to him in good condition. I believe that Xing Zhi had also fallen in love with Shen Li in the mortal world, but as the last ancient god, he bears many burdens on his shoulders. His life is dedicated to bringing peace to the three realms, which does not allow him to entertain emotions or turmoil. He lives alone beyond the skies. The friends he once had all died, leaving him alone and bored. Hence, why he wanted to experience life as a mortal. Everyone around him was afraid to interact with him because of his status. They were also hesitant to confront him if they perceived him to be wrong. However, Shen Li would challenge him, calling out his behavior and lies. This interaction stirs within him feelings of jealousy, worry, and anger, emotions he hadn't recognized before. Without realizing he is falling in love with her.
The drama has followed the novel very closely, even though I know the outcome. I look forward to how the drama will further adapt it. This is a simple story of the Demon King and the last Ancient God and their journey to be together, while trying to bring peace to the three realms. Of course, they will face many challenges since they both hold heavy responsibilities. There are hints throughout the drama as to why Her Holiness has been trying to marry off Shen Li and keep her away from Xing Zhi. The true origin of Shen Li will be discovered.
Slow-burn romances are enjoyable when done right. I felt that the romantic aspect of this drama is executed with taste and good pacing. I love the chemistry between the two characters. The watching experience for "Princess Agents" XingYue shippers is highly enjoyable, and yes, we are savoring the sweetness like there's no tomorrow. If you're bored and still watching this drama, then that's your issue. LOL.
Uh ya you bet I did! I can’t wait to watch this episode! It’s gonna be so good!
In the novel, if I remember correctly , when he visit the campe her wore white. I think in the drama, they making them match more. Even the next scene they are both wearing blue lol
