i was really surpised to see it part of TV line up and not Web as well. I wonder whats the deal? Hah maybe producer Ning has lots of hook ups?

I wonder if the price of purchasing the TV drama was better cost efficent for the TV station. I would imgine that drama with high traffic star are more pricey?

The realeased it at this time, because they had to follow the TV station time line. It was rumoured that Back from the Brink was supposed to be aired, they even had promo, trailers ready to air, but because the TV station was set to air this drama, Youku had to follow through.

I hope they will go a different route and not make him the last villian. I hope he comes clean and the story can progress from there. Its okay right now he hasn't forgotten about his past struggles and ambitious for love!

Do you guys feel that Chao Feng may have the same fate as RunYu from Ashes of Love?

I think it's to soon for her to be truly in love with him. She probably likes him a lot. One reason why I like this drama, the girls are not willing to give everything up for love right away.

Ahh. Right! Oh and one more thing to add, you know the actor is doing a good job, when you feel his characters are different people. And you feel bad shes about to Date them all lol.

Heh part of the characters development due to their love interest... I don't feel the Void clan to be that evil. Hehe i find it funny whenever first price comes out he has entrance theme song lol.

Thank you everyone for your insightful comments and meaningful discussion and perspective on this drama! This is my current addiction right now and I too am coming here during the wait for the next eps. I've read some comments that the second pairing is better written and has more depth than the main lead. I disagree with that! Heh just for some fun discussion. I felt both love stories are well written, however, I favor the main couple's story more. I feel that the main couple's love story has more complexity than the second couple's. Qing kui has been pampered all her life, and will probably not have to encounter the same challenges as YeTan. Even when she entered the Void realm, she still is loved and never has to deal with hardship, so it is easier for her to trust people easily. She accepted Chao Feng's romance easily because she felt that he was kind and had always been there to protect her, yes she will face more challenges when she finds out his true face... his lies and deceptions.

As for Ye Tan, she has slowly developed feelings for YouQin, however, I don't believe she was in love with him, there are just a few people she can trust. During his death she was saddened but not heartbroken, I believe she agreed to find his soul fragment because she wants him to have that second chance to live for himself, to live free, something she always wanted for herself. . I don't think YouQin fell deeply in love with her as well, he was grateful for her, after all, she helped him find himself a little, example the fear he hidden away, this helped him battle/repaired the Guixu. This is why I love their love story more, and felt that it was not just oh he was nice, he saved me now I love him. I am glad the character has to seek out the soul fragment and fall in love with these different flaws/aspects of YouQin. This is why this drama stands out for me, rather than the old formula of the three worlds, three lives concept. Hehe okay, there you go my long midnight babble. hehe

This is correct! Youku has to follow the TV station schedule. Unfortunately for them their anticipated drama could not be aired. I feel the frustration, but these TV channels pay big dollars to have the right to air. It's all about business.

She is insightful and helps bring logic and sense for Ye Tan. She has always been there for Ye Tan even if sje don't agree with her plans.
Her facial expressions are pretty funny! I like bird girl hah.
