Rebirth is actually not "allowed" apparently under some policy rulings or was so. So if its a "rebirth drama" they always end up changing the ending to something like its a dream etc...

Hopefully dear but there is still that rebirth arc that we need to clear the hurdle for. Any thoughts on that one?

The drama is definitely not going the way the novel went.. I am not sure I really like this direction. The poison again is trying to potentially open up to another sad or open ending.. if it ends that way I will really be quite unhappy as to why they keep filming such dramas and yet insist on changing the ending for policy reasons. I hope this ends well like in the novel. Up to episode 20 the changes all seem to be good. But now they are just creating political intrigue for dramatic effect

Hmm... trailers for Ep 24 and 25.. Oh no.. conflict between ML and his father and poor DZ! ARGH

The team appears to be really surprised by the success and there are quite a few videos out at the moment about their real life interactions for promoting the drama.. ahha in one, YR even called ZY his wife casually!

It is a bit different.. in the novel, She didnt live with them and she only came back to back her mother (who is still alive) and then cause problems for them. She visits very often. The drama however seems to suggest otherwise. Is there any mention of her husband or did I miss that detail out in the drama?

I don't think tis clear that its fans of Lusi or Liying. . Its true though that once a drama is rated well.. a lot of antis and others start to downrate this. Quite a lot of fans are also fans of other and those actresses so we can all appreciate a good drama.

Yeah I hope it doesnt end up hurting DM... DZ clearly likes her in this life! SIGH!

The drama seems to be broadening the role for the Stepmother... not sure I like this.... and poor DM, saddled with a mother like that! AISH

The novel is a bit different. It's not like the drama. So it's expected for the 2 who got together. In the novel, he kept wondering why he didn't marry DZ. So it's understandable but that's the novel. The drama is different

She ended up unhappily married to Wei and lost her child (drama is making that happen but different circumstances) and basically unhappy marriage like her mother..

I am hoping they change DM's story from the novel... and give her a good ending too.... It seems fitting in this current drama and she hasnt done anything against DZ. I also hope they stand together against common enemies.

Episode 18 and 19 are really good. I think the adaptation from novel and changes are doing great things.. now we have to see if the rest of the plot/novel gets done well too....
