"if you love him, please let go. I'll take care of what comes next" GIRL STFUUUU PLS💀💀 WHO ARE YOU???😭😭…
yes I just saw that 😩😩😩 like wtf is the point now?? and tbh I don't understand why jihoon would even run to the airport to try and see him/say bye one last time, when right before that (in the trailer) yunjae was basically begging jihoon to say that he doesn't want yunjae to go abroad, but jihoon refused 😭😭 unless they're purposefully setting up the trailer in a way for us to misunderstand
I don't think I've ever commented this much under a dramas page, but I took my adhd meds this morning so I'm not struggling to put my thoughts into words like usual LOL,, but I just watched the trailer for ep. 12 and the last scene?? I'm 99% sure thats gonna be yunjae, it looks like they're recreating the very first scene of the show, but with the roles reversed lolol
kind of insane that we only have one episode left when literally every single plot line is still opened, not a single one has been concluded??😭😭 they should've ended some plot lines in ep.11, especially the side characters plot lines. saving all of them for the last episode is sooo dumb and already tells me that the episode will end up feeling so rushed and we won't get a satisfying ending/enough screentime for our main characters😩😩 I'm glad I saved this show until before the last 2 eps came out (began watching it on August 24th EST). I would've been so pissed if I started it after the first 2 eps came out, as I originally intended, and waited week after week for this😭😭💀 I really feel bad for all of yall who did go through that/are going through that. yall are stronger than me, bc I dont know if I wouldve been able to continue it if I did that
(I won't say what it was so I don't think is a spoiler + I'll reply in spoilers to what line I'm talking about in case someone forgets, but if you think otherwise pls let me know and I'll put this comment in spoiler bars),, butttt
the last line of episode 11 is actually so ridiculous.... she told him before that she may stay like this for the rest of her life (whether thats staying a man or fluctuation between man and woman), and gave him the chance for an out right then and there and he essentially said he doesnt care. anyone would think this meant he accepted that the person he loves will sometimes look like jihoon and sometimes like jieun. but the last line of ep.11 made it clear that he did not accept it at all; that, after he saw her change back the first time, he was basically just staying with the hopes that she'll change back again and stay that way. I get him wanting her to change back ofc, but thats different than accepting that the person he loves may look like a man forever and loving that person regardless. he seriously has not had much, if any, character growth in that department and its so disappointing🫤🫤. With the way that last scene was filmed, and with the music playing in the bg, its seems like the writers/directors were intending to make the scene and yunjaes line come off as "romantic" and this scene as a heartwarming scene, but it was the exact opposite. my theory has always been that, to break the curse, you need to have someone love and accept you no matter what form you're in/what you look like; thats why jieuns grandma and great-grandma never managed to change back, but her mom did change back, and permanently at that. While, with jieun, she keeps fluctuating because yunjae starts to accept it, but then maybe changes his mind (even if subconsciously), especially after jihoon turns back into jieun. if that theory is right, then maybe the directors/writers intentions were actually to show that he still didn't accept it, and him saying that line is what triggered the change again, because it really shows that he still does not love and accept jieun regardless of whether she looks like jihoon/jieun,,, I hope my rambling makes sense😭😭
OH AND ANOTHER THING, WHY DID THIS SHOW HAVE TO USE ONE OF MY FAVORITE OSTS OF ALL TIME (STAR/별 BY YOUME/유미) FROM 200 POUND BEAUTY😭😭😭😭 THEY DID THAT ON PURPOSE TO MAKE ME A BIT EMOTIONALLY ATTACHED TO THE SHOW/CHARACTERS BC THEY KNEWWW I WOULDN'T STAND MOST OF THEM/FINISH IT OTHERWISE🤪🤪 /lh /j
minju girl dont pmo even more, "studying at corning is a dream for people like us! and he gave it up because…
"if you love him, please let go. I'll take care of what comes next" GIRL STFUUUU PLS💀💀 WHO ARE YOU???😭😭 ACTING LIKE YOURE SOME VIGILANTE, GIRL YOURE ONLY AFTER YOUR OWN INTEREST, BE SOOOOO FR💀💀 AND "ILL TAKE CARE OF WHAT COMES NEXT"???? HOW IS SOMEONE SO SHAMELESS, HOW CAN YOU CONSTANTLY INVOLVE YOURSELF AND MAKE THINGS THAT ARENT ABOUT YOU ALL ABOUT YOU?? A CHARACTER HASNT PISSED ME OFF THIS MUCH IN SO LONG😭😭😭😭 WHY DID THEY HAVE MY GIRL CHUU PLAYING THIS KIND OF CHARACTER😩😩
minju girl dont pmo even more, "studying at corning is a dream for people like us! and he gave it up because of you!!"; mind you, thats a grown ass man making decisions on his own!!! AND MIND YOUUUUUUU, THE PERSON YOURE YELLING AT MADE HIM PROMISE TO GO STUDY ABROAD AND WAS FULLY SUPPORTIVE OF THEIR BOYFRIEND STUDYING ABROAD TOGETHER WITH THE GIRL WHO IS WEIRDLY OBSESSED WITH HIM AND WONT STOP CROSSING THEIR BOUNDARIES😭😭 LIKE YUNJAES INSUFFERABLE FOR NOT YELLING AT HER AND DRAWING HIS BOUNDARIES MORE CLEARLY, BUT SHES ACTUALLY INSANE😭😭 HOW DOES SHE NOT REALIZE THAT SHE ESSENTIALLY TREATS YUNJAE THE SAME WAY THAT STALKER GUY TREATS HER??
the writers/directors of this show have to be in some kind of "bring the most insufferable/annoying/hated characters to life on screen" challenge💀
ALSO!! WHILE IM ALREADY YAPPING!! WHY DO DRAMAS LOOOOOOOOOOOVE THE "THE DRAMAS ALMOST ENDING! WAIT, OH NO, ONE OF US SUDDENLY HAS TO GO WORK/STUDY ABROAD FOR YEARS, WHICH GETS IN THE WAY OF OUR RELATIONSHIP!! WHAT CHOICE SHOULD I MAKE?? MY FUTURE CAREER OR MY FUTURE WITH YOU?😰😰", AND ITS ALWAYS PLAYED OUT THE SAME EXACT WAY😭😭 LIKE WE KNOW THAT AT THE END THE PERSON IS GONNA GO ABROAD, AND THEN THEIR RELATIONSHIP/FEELINGS FOR EO, EVEN IF THEY BREAK UP, WILL STAND THE TEST OF TIME AND DISTANCE, BLAH BLAH BALH,,, ITS BORING AND TIREDDDDD!! AND THIS SHOW OF ALL SHOWS DID NOT NEED THAT ADDED PLOT LINE WHEN THERES ALREADY SOOOOOO MUCH GOING ON😭😭 LIKE I PROMISE YALL WILL NOT RUN OUT OF PLOT LINES TO COVER BEFORE THE SHOW ENDS. I suspect they only added this plot line for one reason though, and it's probably to lead to some kind of breakup💀💀 let me get back to watching and find out 😭
I'm only 25 mins into ep.11 and I really hope they address the homophobia and how hard queer ppl have it after…
the scene I was referring to at the beginning of my comment was when yunjaes parents overheard yuna (yunjaes younger sister) and jihoons convo about yunjae & jihoon being a couple, then yunjaes mom collapsed onto the floor and had to be moved to bed while looking physically weak, ill, and disgusted; how she went from thanking and begging jihoon to tutor yuna again because of how much he helped her grades increase, to calling him decietful/nasty things and glaring at him likes hes the devil incarnate. Ive been expecting a scene like this because they made it clear early on that shes a religious woman/theyre a religious family, but I was really hoping they'd dive further into that area and explore the homophobia due to that; I thought, after they first showed us the scene of yunjae and his family praying before dinner in the first episode, that one of the reasons yunjae would struggle with this was his religious upbringing, and I was so interested in seeing that explored, but it never happened😭😭. yet again, more lost potential of what the show could've done/been. I haven't finished ep.11 so I can't say they won't possibly explore that at least a little bit with his mom, but at this point I don't have any hopes for this drama lol. like atp, there's a higher chance they'll just have yunjae go to his family and be like "omg guyysss, shes a girl who just changes into a man sometimes!! dw!! I would NEVER be with a guy🤢🤢 grossss🤢 me? gay?? neverrrrr!!!", before they actually go about exploring the topic of family/society and acceptance of non-conventional relationships. it just makes me so angry bc this really could have been a good show, but instead its been the most queer-batey show thats also anti-queer😭😭. the only men I respect in this show are jieun/jihoons dad and minhyuk (and I'm not even a fan of characters like minhyuks)😭😭😭
I'm only 25 mins into ep.11 and I really hope they address the homophobia and how hard queer ppl have it after that scene happened (I'll explain what scene as a reply in spoiler bars), but I don't have high hopes for them to do that🥲🥲 they could've done so much with this show when it came to discussions of gender, physical/outward appearance, and attraction vs romantic feelings; how to navigate your feelings for your partner if they were to change, or aspects of their personality fluctuate, from how they were when you first got together- this show used a fantastical change of someone waking up and suddenly being/presenting as a diff gender, but you could apply that as an analogy to something about someone suddenly changing while theyre in a relationship and how their partner handles that. whether its someone who suddenly has an illness, someone having smth like bpd (even if medicated, your body can suddenly start resisting a medication that once worked, so you can still experience high highs and low lows while medicated/in the process of finding other meds that work for you), someone going through a major life event that effects their personality greatly, or even something as simple as someone's style/how they present themselves drastically changing; how will you, as their partner who loves and cherishes them, react to and accept your partner, how will you help them, how will you love them, etc. I think that was what I was mostly intrigued by seeing get covered when watching this drama, but they have really missed their shot with using this plot line to divulge and explore this question of love/attraction vs physicality/personality. Instead the show keeps focusing on finding ways to hide this "flaw" (as minju called it, which reflects the writers/directors feelings as to what jieun/jihoon is dealing with is); if they wanted to show character growth on yunjaes part, they couldve had him respond to minju and tell her that it isnt a flaw and that he loves his partner regardless, but he couldn't say that when she asked and just walked away, even though you get the feeling that he might have been thinking that. That whole scene really should've happened a lot earlier, maybe ep.8 at the latest, to give chance for character growth and relationship exploration, but they're doing this in the second to last episode?? Its just disappointing because they really could have done something so amazing with this plot, but god forbid they have what looks like two guys have feelings for each other. Does yeonjae genuinely think he doesn't feel the same love for jieun when shes jihoon? Did he never question the jealousy he would feel when people were all over jihoon?? Or question why he would get panicky when he thought he hurt jihoons feelings? Like sir, you would not have been feeling any of those things if you could not get past the fact that jihoon/jieun looks like a man right now. Sighhhhh, I could keep rambling, but this comment has gotten way too long so I'll stop here (at least for now lolol).
just started ep.11 and minju getting upset and saying "you guys must have had so much fun deceiving me" is so ridiculous 💀💀 like girl this is NOT about you! mind you, shes the one forcing herself into their lives?? can't believe jieun apologized when she has nothing to be sorry for😭
happy birthday dylan!! funny how I randomly decided to watch Cinderella at 2 am today and then was surprised to see him in it (was a really big d-crunch fan, even talked to them on fancalls), only to remember that its also his bday today 😭😭
