Its okay to love your cdrama ,but is the ccp paying you to shit on kdramas ?.kdramas/movies have won an oscar,top netflix dramas,other international awards ,they are not shit .stop being jealous and hateful.

Because it is a lie. You can not objectively say he had the same expression in for instance True beauty, when he was crying in the plane going to America after his dad's stroke versus when he was drunk.y'all love to exaggerate and lie. I can list so many scenes with different expressions .just stop the lies.

Personally i'm not a fan of cdramas .I find that they over exaggerate too many things. humor, history, flying on mountains and tall buildings, martial arts etc too many things are just unbelievable. I don't find their humor that humorous.
Overall i'm not a huge fan of their xianxia ....they bore me with 500 yr old foxes,10 century old birds,half goat half human,3/4 demon. Just too much for me. I need relatable characters.

Are you serious about no background about the main characters? female lead: fear of kissing so she doesn't change into a dog, breaks up with ex boyfriends cos she won't kiss them ,ex ends up marrying her friend. Then we get the whole past life story. Ridiculous to say there isn't any background on her. Male lead: they show us the history of dog trauma and bullying in his childhood and he takes care of his nephew.Yet you still say there is no background.
It's ok to not like a drama but its not okay to skip many parts then judge the drama based on your own ignorance, not cool.
As far as adults behaving childishly in relationships, it's not abnormal in east asian cultures. just cos you come from a hedonistic western culture where everyone has had multiple sex partners ,abortions and single motherhood reigns supreme, doesn't mean you should judge other cultures the same. It's called Kdrama for a reason and we apologize that they are not as sexually liberal as we westerners.

How can anyone watch the drama, especially the episodes dealing with the historical origin of the curse and seowon's pain over haena's memory loss and say he was unconvincing . Did you not watch the heartbreaking scene at the beach or the theatre ? People really just be saying crap and claim it

I don't know what you are watching but Cew's expression of pain and heartbreak after haena's memory loss was perfect acting which had us in tears .Are you even for real? Ya'll are just too much when it comes to Cew and I'm convinced so many of you have no clue what good acting is and just want to judge him for his face.

She definitely looked older than cew,it didn't bother me though but i agree she looked older and some of her grandma sweaters and skirts didn't help. And i don't agree, cew is one of the most naturally handsome looking kidols/actors. And he did great in this drama. watch everything first because he initially acts cold towards FL but things change after,and some of his emotional scenes are so well done.

So many platforms like Netflix, Viki ,Disney etc now fund Kdrama productions. so many tv networks outside Korea ,for example tv networks in Taiwan,Thailand,Phillipines,Vietnam,etc and other entertainment companies buy Kdramas.So Kdramas are no longer beholden to major Tv networks and ad revenue in Korea for funding.
Kactors with global popularity get brand sponsorship for global brands outside Korea and international fan meets also create revenue.
Even when a drama isn't so popular in Korea ,if it is popular abroad it makes a buzz online and that also reflects on the actor's popularity within Korea.
I'm not saying Kratings mean nothing, but they are no longer the sole determinant of an actor or a drama's success.

I meant that your numbers concerning the amount of people who watch kdramas outside korea are debatable.You keep emphasizing the korean viewership, but these days so many people watch kdramas on streaming apps than korean tv networks.Most kdrama watchers are not in korea. Lots of platforms and tv networks buy kdramas with popular names even if drama is not a hit in korea. There are also kdramas that are quite popular in korea but no on cares about them outside korea.
The scheduling also affected the ratings but MBC didn't care because they already sold viewing rights to multiple platforms and tv networks.
As far as viewing outside korea it is being watched because male lead has a huge kdrama fandom outside korea. It is top 2 on viki and viu and even here has more than 5000 comments. Average kdramas on this site don't even get 3k comments.
Did it do well on MBC korea...nope, but it's doing okay on streaming platforms outside korea.
Kdramas no longer have to be huge in korea for them to garner success abroad. Some mildly successful kdramas on netflix have way more viewers and global popularity than some very highly rated korean tv
drama.

Yeah, that anger scene between Seowon and Haena in the last episode was so hot . Eunwoo did such a fantastic job conveying his emotions and his frustrations. looking forward to a Wonderful world.

It was really a 12 episode drama. I ThInk the director had to repeat lots of scenes and drag it out for some extra change. ...LOL

You do know there are 7.5 billion humans who don't live in Korea and don't watch MBC.
