That exorcism scene went viral because of how he acted it .It was pretty cool if you can call an" exorcism" scene cool. And it merged very well with the role of a young hip cheeky priest he plays.The way he jumped on the bed ,headphones, earrings,etc and his very decent delivery of italian ,despite not being a native speaker .
Actually most of the praise of his italian came from native speakers who said they didn't need subtitles to understand him, so he did good .

Yeah, everyone who thinks he did a great job with the exorcism scene and his italian/ latin speech must be a desperate fan.
If you think he has been robotic in this drama then it's definitely a you problem. plus you sound pretty pissed and bitter about him getting loads of compliments ......where did he personally hurt you ? LMAO.

Honestly y'alls endless bitching and moaning about female lead this and female lead that is what is annoying ,tedious and getting stale. You don't expect her to just start battling demons with no experience or become kick ass from the get go. Anyone who suddenly starts having demons chase them everywhere will be ultra terrified and will have "dramatic melt downs".
if rich beautiful spoiled females are not your thing then dont watch rather than complaining about her acting precisely how she is written.

At this point this is just nitpicking and bullying .Eunwoo is doing awesome in this drama .he is a priest and has done exorcisms so he isn't generally supposed to be so terrified .He's cheeky and playful but not cocky or overtly arrogant .
Seems like a religion for some of you to hate on eunwoo .He can't seem to satisfy some of you so maybe just stop watching his dramas.
He is giving a very refreshing portrayal of a young and hip priest yohan and did so well with his Italian and Latin speech and is getting lots of praise for his portrayal.
You are not more experienced or more knowledgeable than the directors he works with .
And just stop with the "taking acting classes insult".It's getting old and tired.

He already has dramas where he doesnt play a cold character , they are even listed on this page ,but you are not interested in them ,you just want to bitch and moan and drag him.

thanks for a fair assessment . you were not blinded by the hiy drome which lead to a lot of unnecessary hate/bias against the main couple .

eunwoo did a very good job with true beauty, some people just want to criticise him and some are upset that hiy didnt get the girl so they hate on him. im not saying he is the best korean actor but he did a pretty good job in true beauty in portraying his character. lee suho was not the fun, lively, nice kinda guy, he was broody, cold and closed off and he pulled it off very well .

I see you didn't address the specific points i raised refuting your claims about seojun not having close friends .
1.he did talk to Chorom about jk, he could have called chorom again.
It's ludicrous to say that because he cried alone on a staircase, means he has nobody. Jk cried alone lots of times but she had her family/suho.
2.The only major negative thing {besides seyeon's death} that happened to seojun in the entire drama was jk's rejection. Every other thing ended positively for him.His mom's health improved, his sister triumphed over her bullies and got a nice boyfriend, his relationship with suho was restored, he debuted as a kpop artist.
So how can u say he was the only character that was better off before?
3. You say he deserves someone that loves him not jk ,therefore his acceptance that she doesn't love him and his letting go of that emotional burden is a positive step in that direction.
4. Fame may or may not bring happiness but Seojun is accomplishing his dreams.Another positive step.

5. I said "I COULD" also ask you to stop commenting,meaning i'm not currently doing that. Basically @zealous and you want me making only comments that are acceptable to both of you ,doesn't work that way .Interestingly the folks i replied to are not even complaining but you and @zealous are.LOL

There are hundreds of youtube/instagram videos with thousands of comments all lamenting seojuns heartbreak and why he deserved jk and why the drama didn't stick to the webtoon version of seojun/jk romance. there is even someone on this side calling for a boycott of the script writers dramas because seojun didn't get the girl so no i don't agree that most of the angst is not about a seojun/jk ending .
most of those calling for a happy ending for seojun say they wanted him to get a new girl or or have him together with jk .............note that most of what seojun fans want ultimately has to do with some sort of romantic happiness. i doubt that his having more attentive friends or showing him smiling at that wedding would have changed that outlook.


People have vigorous debates that do get heated ,its a public forum and anyone is free to engage or disengage .Except for extremely hateful speech or violent speech we are allowed to disagree and i welcome different and counter view points especially when based on the facts of the drama not just personal whims or subjective feelings. I wouldn't make too much of random debates with strangers online and disagree with trying to excessively police people's speech just to suit our feelings.

"no one was really there for him"........... he confided to his big friend chorom at the gym about his feelings for jk, when he had an accident his family and friends were all at the hospital to cheer him up, jk and suho and his friends came to support him at his debut. After jk reconciled with suho she went back to have lunch with seojun and she apologized that she couldn't reciprocate his feelings,but people keep bashing her that she didn't care for him. his mom and sister were invited to heegyeongs wedding, he was obviously invited and his mom tells jk's mom that his on coming debut kept him busy and away from the wedding.
After jk's rejection, suho still helped them recompose their song for seojun's debut, had lunch with him where he encouraged him . so where is this narrative that he "had no one" coming from?

once more you spin seojun as a pathetic character but i don't think he is . on what planet does a 20 yr old debuting as a kpop idol not be a pleasant and happy event regardless of jk's rejection? firstly jk never liked him as a love interest, and while that rejection hurts i dont think its comparable to that of an ex lover,they shared no real intimate moments. part of why he cried at his debut could be attributed to memories of seyeon and their song not even jk. remember that suho also had tears in his eyes at that event and the next song was very upbeat.
nobody spends yrs training a to be a kpop idol if they don't want it at all, if he wasn't passionate or didn't want it why did he go back ? does that even make sense ?
from the way he acts in class we see that seojun is not that interested in academics,his sister is also gifted in music. so maybe it's a family thing .very hard to believe that he was just going along for the ride .
some people say happy ending, i call it more of a "hopeful ending", because there is hope for happiness in his life . he is 20 ,on his way to fame and fortune and will definitely meet other nice girls.he's got the love and support of friends and family,he's healthy. that's more than lots of people have.
If seojun was your friend and confided in you about jk's rejection and his upcoming debut would you not tell him to forget jk and be happy for his debut ? i think most of us in real life would be happy if our friend debuts and we wouldn't want them to dwell on some one sided teenage love.
At this point though we will just have to agree to disagree .

We can all agree that most seojun fans are upset that he didn't end up with jugyeong like it was in the webtoon not because they didn't show him pursuing his music , even if they had done that some people would still be upset that jk chose suho and not him.

The premise of the entire drama is actually jugyeong .let's not get carried away,it's primarily about jugyeongs journey not suho or seojun . Their relevance to her story is that they both have romantic interest in her .
pls stop using that term "invalidate their opinion". it is a discussion site and we are free to discuss issues from different perspectives and disagree. And frankly some opinions discussed here are not based on the facts of the drama rather on preference for a particular character.
invalidating someone is a much more long term process involving people who are more intimate or interact on a deeper level over a wide range of issues .
having a different perspective on a drama website is not invalidating anyone. no one is stopping you from feeling for any drama character, but don't expect that we all have to see things the same way or experience the drama like u do.
I could also make the claim that you are invalidating my opinion since you replied to me and you have a different take on seojun's story, besides what is so wrong in celebrating seojun's other successes instead of focusing only on his one sided love.

But he will be happy. He did debut ,he has a budding music career, he has great friends ,suho and jk were there supporting him at his debut concert ,his mom's health is better, his sister is doing well in college. It's a new beginning for him, a chance to start afresh. That is always good.
He wanted to go into music ,he was already a trainee but left after his friends death. suho and jk's sister had to talk him back into it, he still got the opportunity to go back .Celebrate that.
