My sentiments exactly. They sweep every nasty thing he did under the rug, while calling suho a stalker ,jealous and demanding for complaining and getting upset over jukyoung hanging out with seojun,as if they'd be happy if there boyfriends did the same.I didn't even dislike seojun so much because they are all young folks growing in life, but the hate the seojun crowd unleashed on suho and jk for simply loving each other got me upset.
Just shows that so many women pay lip service to women's rights while hating on jk for choosing for herself. Don't even get me started on the "justice for seojun crowd",acting like the worst thing to happen to a young man is to be rejected by a girl who never ever loved him. Same here, i attempted to watch it but after hearing energy ,souls,alchemy ,body for the millionth time i decided to give it a rest ,for now.Fantasy dramas are not really my thing and there were so many fight scenes .Like you, i wondered what they were trying to achieve and its having 20 episodes didn't help matters .I'm definitely not going to rate it ,that would be unfair and who knows i might return to it some other time .

What is his character supposed to give at this point in the drama?.....He is not a fun person,he is taciturn,sad from living a forced loveless and joyless life as a human/demon slaying demons for centuries ,only person who gives a shxt about him is the old lady.He's been disillusioned from waiting for Wonjeong to keep her promise.What exactly is he not giving?
I don't know what you mean by selling point ? His character is written not to "sell" or be an attractive character. He is not your handsome Sexy swashbuckling hero.He is dull as ditch water and that's exactly how he is supposed to be .

I hope you aren't confusing his acting with the character. people tend to criticise actors and claim they are bad actors, when the truth is they just don't like a character.That's why same people who claim xyz is a very bad actor in drama A, will turn around and say he was so good in drama B . Kim Nam Gil is doing a very good job of playing van, a half demon /human who has been ground down by centuries of living a life he was forced into. I actually think he's doing a good job of playing an introverted ,disillusioned character.

Everyone ,their mamas and their dogs know that kim nam gil is a great actor,he is a veteran. However Eunwoo is a very young actor and still growing .It's not a competition,pls stop being pained.
