I felt bad when the empress tried to talk to the emperor about zisheng's music and then he was already talking…
It's very refreshing to see a royalty relationship where the Empress and Consort aren't fight for the Emperor's affection inspite of the people trying to pit them against each other. I love that they have totally different personalities but they serve their purpose: Benevolence from the Empress and tenacity from the consort. Ahhh... What a healthy relationship. Just how did they born bad children.
waiting for the bts of the guzheng scene. Zls knows to play guzheng!! i wanna see her teaching leilei. (assuming…
Same thoughts here while watching that performance. And mind you, that was a really good piece. I don't always appreciate that instrument but this time I liked it.
I can do without the scenes of the crown prince and princess. I see in the trailers that we'll have a few episodes…
I totally agree. Just like LB's warning to CSS when when entered the palace, do not trust the Crown Princess. In the last couple of ep, she really seems suspicious. And she's stupid--telling the emperor they spent a lot on their gift for the empress' birthday, and suggesting to have her cousin keep the tiger seal but refused to own up to the mistake when it was the best way out for her husband? Stupid! And the crown prince being too weak that even his own Mother, the Empress, believes he does not suit the position but wanted her son saved from either death or killing himself just like all other princes who don't get that seat. While watching them, I keep on thinking that I need to know their background story.
They are collaborating again but in historical drama till the end of the moon which is really high budget drama.…
Yeah, I've read about that. So they aren't pursuing the same universe/story line as "Love Is Sweet"? I'm a bit disappointed but I hope "Till the end of the moon" will indeed be a better option.
Does anyone have any news about season 2? The directors and cast agreed to make season 2 if they can beat the high record in viewership, which they did. But for whatever reason, I can't find anything about it anymore, not even rumors. Hmmm...
I'm really feeling sad for cheng yin 😭😭....she died like lonely death....only female lead was close to her…
I am so happy that they focused on Cheng Yin being Wang Yu's outlet instead of putting too much side stories on her like a typical cdrama. it made her character more impactful.
The only cdrama this year that gave me a hard time to move on. Oh my god! I've been like this for 3 weeks already.…
I really waited for it to finish before binging it. I saw snippets but I tried to avoid more spoilers -- and I am incredibly happy I did so. I just finished watching it in a day, and goodness, my heart is not ready to move on!!!
how come there is no tearjerker tag! I just watched ep 15... man i couldn't control myself, just big drops of…
all my tears were bec of her dad. I love how they realistically dealt with his loss. it was exactly how i, my siblings and my mom experienced when our dad passed away. it all came back to me when I watched it.
If you want to understand the end check this page. The article is in French ’but you can use the automatic translator…
Was planning to search for reviews after coming here at MDL. Although, the content of this blog, I don't agree 100%. But thanks for this. Saved me a ton!
It's a nice movie. Got me the psychological theme vibe from the start, which turned out it was. But honestly, since they subtly established he's schizophrenic at the start of the film, the ending made me one as well. Like, it did not tie up the whole thing to me. It became a continues loop of reality and dream -- which what schizophrenia is, anyway.
Here's the link to a summary of the book to excite you more!
