I agree. The other characters were obviously made to show off a lot of potential but they needed to be sacrificed to meet the rules' requirements. And IDK, for whatever reason, even Bai Lu's and Luo Yunxi's scenes together are also not enough for me. Everyday, I would talk to my partner about how everything about this drama is perfect but there's just something missing—like an itch you can't scratch.

I'd like to blame it on the fact that they needed to cut it to 40 episodes instead of the original script for 50+. The sad thing is that they held this drama for a long time that it was caught in the changes in the C Entertainment rules so the quality of story telling was compromised real bad. Such a shame. I hope we can make a petition for them to release the uncut version to international viewers in international platforms, but that's most prolly when hell freezes over.

Same here. My expectations with this drama were extremely high because I fell in love with the novel plus it's played by my most favorite drama couple (Bai Lu and Luo Yunxi). I waited for this drama everyday since last year—I literally watched out for news everyday regardless of validity. It started strong. But it went downhill since the Dream Arc and now, I haven't watched the latest episodes since Monday. I won't drop it just because of the actors but it wasn't able to sustain the excitement for me.

Does anyone know if there's any difference between the netflix version from the Youku version? like dub or something?

I just want to say that I was positively surprised by the change in character that they made with YXW's eldest brother. I hated him in the novel but I cried when he redeemed himself in the drama by joining his father in fighting the enemies to help their people.

My theory is that he survived with the help of his witch lackey, the one who escaped TTJ in the forest. TTJ didn't wait until TTML was totally burnt before he left, and the witch can teleport.

I just finished this drama. The acting was superb. The story was amazing. The character development was exceptional. I don't easily cry because of dramas but I cried in all the sad scenes here. I love love love everyone but Wudai is my top favorite. Such an amazing drama, very top quality. Urgh! I can't praise this drama enough.
