Everytime a drama hit 9/10 there will always be people calling it overrated, trying so hard to be "i m so different i m not like other girls" it's tiring

I have seen other shifus or silent brooding characters that are interesting. But something is definitely lacking here

I don't find both the guys handsome or attractive at all. My problem was not their facial features because there are actors who aren't really that attractive but really good acting. but maybe it's the way the Characters are written or the direction didn't go too well . I have seen silent brooding characters who are interesting but this shifu is not it.

But yeah the female roles are carrying the show and I'm just watching this for them

Every time the main guy shifu comes on screen I had to watch in 3x speed cause he is so boring and his dynamic with the female lead is boring as well 😭
But she by herself is interesting tho. Despite looking like psychotic problematic person I look forward to more scenes with the king because his character is interesting and looks like there's layer to it.

I agree. Because the quality of the story is what matters the most for me and China has a bunch of amazing bl novels. Imagine if it gets adapted without censorship 😭
