casts are perfect! chemistry is chemistrying !!!
First and foremost, the actors are top notch! I really love how each actors complement their own characters. I especially like Sanlai's actor as he expresses his emotions through his face and it is very readable. I am glad that He Yu is now getting more recognized through this drama. His eyes and lips really show his feelings and emotions. I like it when his eyes starts to smile before his lips.As the other reviews have said, this drama is up to the viewer's preference. It's whether you like it, or you don't.
I do not have a problem with the siblings trope as it was very clear from the start that they didn't have feelings for each other when they met again. I understand why it's weird for some though.
For the plot, it was unique for me. It is cliche, yes. But, you don't often see dramas like this now. The plot is very predictable, so you've just got to enjoy every scene with the characters, don't always focus on the plot.
I feel like the drama was a bit rushed in the middle. All of that happened in the early episodes, then it was solved quickly? Also, as I have mentioned, the things happening in the drama was a bit rushed, but it still extended to 29 episodes. I think it was because they really focus on showing every details and emotions. There would always be a slow-mo scene every episode. BUT WHO COULD COMPLAIN??? The close-up shots would always be Zhao and his shimmering arms. I'm fascinated every time he's shown on the screen! His face would always be dripping with sweat, and also his armsss. This drama really showcased He Yu's appearance and acting.
Speaking of acting, I know that some people don't really like how Esther Yu acts. Honestly, there are some scenes where you would cringe. But, it doesn't change the fact that Shuxin was picked to play this role. Her baby-voice had always been her signature since before. And, I have been watching her since she appeared on Youth With You, that's why I can proudly say that she has improved. I think she did great in playing Mu Mu' character, that innocent and playful vibe. I feel like she's a bit lacking in kissing scenes though. She kisses cutely, while He Yu' kisses are hot. But, it creates more spark with their chemistry.
Overall, I love the casts, the scenery, and ESPECIALLY THE OST!!! The camera angles and lightings are perfect! Director did such an amazing job. The drama is not for everyone, but it is for me! Not a lot of people like cliche stories, but I'm a sucker for these. I especially love Zhao and Sanlai! Very entertaining to watch.
I still can't move on from this drama. 💔 This is the first cdrama I watched after a long long time. So, I'm grateful that I watched it because it has given me motivation to watch cdramas again. I always do not finish watching dramas, so I can say that this drama is good as I have finished it!
Love lots to the casts, especially Shuxin and Yi Qian! 💓
