Cheng Yi and Bai Jing Ting in a modern drama would be hilarious. Bai Jing Ting is so unintentionally and naturally funny lol. I don't know what kind of genre I would prefer because I don't like Bai Jing Ting in dramas where romance is the focus. I'm down for a solid bromance

Which is ridiculous because he is funny asf irl so I don't get why he has to suffer EVERY SINGLE DRAMA. The fact I refer to him as the forever suffering Cheng Yi should say something about his drama choices. It's ok though every role he plays I'll continue to watch because that's my boo. Although I really want a historical rom-com from him with Zhao Lu Si as the FL and Li Hong Yi as his brother.

Exactly it is annoying me especially considering Xiao Zhao promised Ming Wei's agent that he would make sure the Grand Tutor doesn't cause any issues. Yet I haven't seen Xiao Zhao appear once on set. He said he has no other clients except the ML so what exactly is he doing all day?

Episode 4 was so sad. How could a brother do such a thing to his sister. I'm lowkey more interested and invested in the historical drama they star in than the modern one.

Y'all killed MOMMA LIANG AND SONG JIN but let Qiu Min live and gave YL a promotion? Fr? Love how he "respects" LY but literally used his mother's crime to weasel his way out of facing consequences. Corrupt to the very end and that's exactly why the old Emperor deserved to die because clearly common sense was lacking.

And what made it worse was the fact that QY immediately ran to see if QM ass was safe and she had no problems leaving QY FOR DEAD!

Lol I hate when ppl make valid point amiss my anger lol. I want to be unreasonably upset; I just feel wronged on behalf of LY. I felt like she could have handled it differently. She should have asked momma Liang to convince her husband to be quiet first at least.

I honestly hate foolery like how you gine kill LY's dad and ask him to save your son. And what annoys me is how she says she will kill herself. Like gurl bye! Your son will be the next Emperor after LY eliminates all the threats to his position. You will automatically become even more powerful ain't no way you gine kill yourself when you can easily kill LY and live lavishly.

Omg it broke my heart when Song Jin died then when LY called out his name to get hot water when QY sneezed I almost burst into tears. PLEASE GIVE US A HAPPY ENDING!

Loved 29 to bits. My fav part was LY supporting QY's decision to leave, he knew he could make her stay but he rather see his wife fulfil her lifelong desire than selfishly ask her to stay. That's another thing I admire about their relationship and the writers of this drama.

They mutually support each other. For example when momma Liang was trying to get QY to convince LY to stay home. She immediately said she wouldn't as she understood his dreams and aspirations. So it feels like a full circle moment when LY gave QY the freedom not only to choose but respected her decision and didn't try to sway her.

Either route the writers took I'm sure the plot would have been delightful. However I absolutely adore that the writer remained consistent with QY's character from a child she wanted to travel. So even tho she has this amazing husband and mother-in-law she still has desires. So I appreciate that they didn't go the typical I'm giving up everything to be with my loved one.

The icing on the cake would be the amount of shade QX threw at QM every chance he got lol. He was like I don't need no protective talisman once no one is plotting against me. I nearly died of laughter. Then at the end when he basically told her stfu you know nothing lawdness he too hot for me boa! Oh well I don't feel bad for her this is exactly what she gets for doing dirty deeds and running her mouth. Had she not tried to show off in front of QY, QX may have eventually had the type of love that QM's dad had had for her mom. Oh well karma has a way of getting ya!

I've never been a stan of public confessions. The peer pressure of it all.

Is it me who gets the sense that the reason QY's dad was "protected" her was the same reason her grandmother appointed her as the leader. It was more about capability than protection. I believe the father knew QM wouldn't have made it alone. Truth be told I believe if the mother had not died QY wouldn't have been "protected".

I don't think the father genuinely loved or was concerned for QY. Think about it when it was being debated if QY should be buried with her "husband" the dad was more quiet than QY's stepmother. So I believed the dad wanted to protect Min'er not Yan'er. Yan'er's intelligence is what probably got her indirect protection.

IWS all she does do is complain but don't add nothing of value

LY stays making fantastic points. How does QX think he is going to successfully wed two sisters. It is unrealistic! And QM has to be the most delusional person in this show, why do you think you deserve praise for something you could have potentially fumbled. I hate when she tries to portray something she's not then gets mad when she isn't acknowledged for it . Well duh because it ISN'T YOU babes.

I've watched two trailers and I have no idea what this drama is about or where it is headed. Can someone clue me in?

I do not do manipulation tactics. The ML is a damn fool he so sharp with everyone but handling his investors with kitten gloves. The reason they invested was because you brought them profits don't allow your investors to meddle in your personal affairs. Big clown!
