From the trailer of eps 30, I affraid Song Jin(LY's bodyguard) died, when he try protect LY
It's really giving hold the door energy. Thinking about it makes me teary eyed. Like omg especially how he looked at LY when he shut the door. It was like he knew he would never see LY again.
That confrontation between QX and LY!!! Liang Yi! Why are you setting the bar so high? His willingness to give…
Ikr he seemed way too off and the way the Emperor kept building all these temples. And all the corruption stemming from anything relating to the temple. My money is on the Grand Preceptor and for some reason the Noble Consort. Something tells me they are the puppet masters. Or belong to the country that LY is trying to stop from invading his.
Yass finally no evil mother-in-law. I like how she made it clear her daughter-in-law is to be respected, listened to and NEVER bullied. It was so satisfying when she was like nope she ain't no Consort she is Madam Su and you will address her accordingly. Momma Liang is goals, she may have upgraded her life but always remembered where she came from and I adore that aspect about her.
It warms my heart that QM's lil evil plan is going up in flames quick, fast and in a hurry. You can't be a villain and expect a happy ending. And how QM thought she would seduce him with QY's charm and think she could sustain the relationship with her own charm?
Qiu Min gurl what do you bring to the table at this point? Oh how I wish you killed yourself because YOU ARE THE WEAKEST LINK! Always ready to dictate what Qiu Yan should and shouldn't do in her relationship. Meanwhile you're out here drugging and raping men. What really kills me is she not only lying and raping but she straight up putting this man in worse danger than Qiu Yan ever would have.
That moment at the end of episode 20 reconfirmed for me that Qiu Min didn't genuinely care for QX she just thought Qiu Yan would have "selfishly" ran away without her. Quite honestly I don't think Qiu Min likes QX, not genuinely anyway. I feel her "love" for him stems from her jealousy of her sister and that need to put QY in her place. Had her sister not paint LY in a bad light she would have been on him like white on rice.
Whatever or whoever QY likes QM will always try to get. Eg. the fan. She knew her sister cherished that fan but still tried to guilt and manipulate QY into giving her although her mother said no. And uk how I know QM didn't genuinely want the fan? She misplaced it and probably only went back for it to maintain that "good girl" image and avoid her mother scolding her.
It really rubbed me the wrong way when QM thinks the place where QY lived was dirty and didn’t want to step…
See I been saying so she always acts innocent but she has some really messed up aspects about her.
Like when she tried to make her sister feel guilty about running away from freaking death. Even how she started acting pitiful so she could borrow her sister's fan 🤮
HATE her stink lil attitude. And don't even get me started on how she snitched on her aunt.
I don't want to blame her but if she would wake up and adapt she wouldn't have to suffer. Imo she is just self centered, jealous, condescending, bitter and useless. A real wolf in sheep's clothing.
Can we take the time to mention, the true villain is definitely the Emperor at this point. What do you mean if I bring evidence to prove someone is innocent I can be implicated? My guy wth is that, this is the third time this Emperor has been irrational.
You brought back a corrupt official, you banished an official all because he said no to building a temple and now you have some unspoken rule about not overturning your convictions? Emperors like that deserve over throwing cause wth. Why should anyone be loyal to a ruler like that? Where pride is more important than justice. Such a disappointment ngl.
A part of me wholeheartedly believes that if Qiu Min had went with her sister, Qiu Yan would have protected her. However in true Qiu Min fashion she has to be superior and condescending. I really can't stand Qiu Min's character she is only tough when it is time to tell off her sister. Yet every other time she's all weak and fragile.
Sucks the writers went this route with her character but realistically only something drastic would have woken her up and driven her to survive. She has been pampered all her life. Plus she's a sucker for rules and etiquette without reason or consideration.
The unmitigated gall of the grandmother to ask Qiu Yan to lead the Qiu women to live on like all those women didn't come together like the avengers to get this girl buried with a man she just MET. Marry her off to an elderly man so they or their children wouldn't be affected. Her mother even wanted to sacrifice her so her brother could benefit. Another one gave an embroidered item with Yan on it to another man in order to destroy her relationship. The icing on the cake is her sister never defends her and always tries to belittle her.
If I was Qiu Yan I wouldn't lead them anywhere but towards more work. I wholeheartedly believe in personal karma. Qiu Yan has suffered enough. She needs to live by what she told her mother. I never liked that whole family is family motto or don't cut off family concept. She owes her family NOTHING! especially those women.
The true villain of this show is the Emperor because who brings back a CORRUPT official! He not only brought him back but he gave him equal power wth. Does that even make sense? And who banishes a family to get their way, obviously he had a reason for suggesting you not build the temple. Like my guy.
It really be moments like this that I wish Liang Yi did not stop the coup against the Emperor. The Emperor is going to land this Empire in pure chaos. Or honestly cause it to be easily invaded. Liang Yi was literally trying to prevent that but here goes the ever so helpful Yuan Lang to destroy everything. Like an unsupervised toddler.
One thing you can always count on Qiu men to do is be incompetent, selfish and a disappointment. Actually the whole family at this point, the aunts playing the blame game, when from the looks of it only the second chamber was providing income to support the entire family. Then there's Qiu Min who claims to be looking out for Qin Xuan's best interest but let's face it. QM is the type of girl that would ruin other's happiness because she is unhappy or wouldn't benefit.
Not really feeling the FL's dad, that lil manipulation tactic he pulled with Lord Liang definitely wasn't feeling that. And the SML never sides with her but gets jealous when Liang Yi does. Boy if you don't sit down somewhere with crybaby Qiu Min.
It turned out that 2nd chamber's secret is from the wife. I hope there's no illegitimate daughter (esp Qiu Yan)…
Somehow I think the secret is even bigger than that. I think the granny would have kicked her out just like she tried to do the third aunt. The grandmother wouldn't have covered it imo.
