He asked XY to return to Haoling while already knowing the answer from her (he knows her character and she wouldn't abandon him mid fight) so I take those as lip service. An example of CX using XY is him pushing XY towards FL knowing that she doesn't see him as a love interest and he doesn't really care for her and is using her for her status and the benefits she will be giving him by marrying her. Who is gonna benefits the most through this marriage? CX and FL, but mainly CX cause it strengthens his power to rule though formal association.

I don't see him break up with Ayla anytime soon especially since she just lost her job and she's has a special place in his life. Dan Deun Myeong seems to be the type of person who just does as he's told from his manager to his parents but with SJ he wants to be selfish. However what he's doing is gonna do more harm than good to both ladies. He's in his late 20s (28) he knows what he's doing. I'm not giving him the benefit of that doubt that he's confused. His actions towards SJ are not appropriate especially after he's proposed to another woman. His parents/family don't seem like the forceful types, if he was confused he could have never formally entered a relationship with Ayla and taking time to sort out his feelings. But nooo he wants to be engaged to one while holding on the other. I'm especially annoyed cause he knows how SJ feels about him (she called him husband in their introduction) and now he's being selfish and wants all her firsts to be associated with him.
