It's better no answers than a flat answer that wouldn't make sense/convince. I mean, the show only has 12 episodes, they did the best they could do to make it work, even if they rushed the final a little bit.
I recommend this one, the romance doesn't disturb the story, tbh it improves - cause the FL is directly envolved with the Crown Prince's fight. She support him as a Court Lady.
