Meanwhile FL has a painful past which is about to catch up with her)
SML is loving FL, but FL sees him only as friend (that sparring scene in eps 4 made it obvious) and has "friendzoned" him twice so far and definitely wanted to be with ML when SML interfered at the end of eps 4. Tensions between two men are rising and will spill over next week when ML will confront SML who is also his most trusted friend (but has now breached that trust) Overall the SML is decent and likable if as interesting as a drywall. Your standard fare protector/knight type, if you will while ML is a quirky king in more than one way haha

But in episode 3 you get him missing Sorang when she is away, him getting hot and bothered by her proximity (and her wet "see through" clothes) after the lake incident. He is happy when she appears at the hunting grounds, enjoys bickering with her, worried about her eating enough/getting her meat portion, jealous when she is too close to SW, distressed when he thinks she is possessed instead of asking "is the CP there" (this was huge wow) worried about her being sick and wanting to care for her himself and of course THAT end scene π
So in this episode while one thing happened because he mistook her for CP in a half-sleep state, it was exact that thing led him to be "head empty only Sorang" ever since. And he has thought about CP very little in general in this episode, especially in contrast to the second one. We love to see this progress haha.

Which btw is now possible to tackle for Taehee as he, himself, had some closure to the incident and his own guilt in it, and made steps toward recovery in these two months, but would not have been able back in episode 9 (and two months earlier) where he had retreated into old, unhealthy trauma/grief coping mechanisms after CH, however inadvertently, retriggered him (Like between the happy, smily guy at the start of episode 9 after returning from the trip and having opened up quite a bit about his feelings of guilt toward DJ, and the guy descending into a dark state of mind/avoiding everything, especially his own emotions, after meeting CH's mother and CH forcing her way into his home are stark differences... and it is so fucking obvious what/who caused this drastic shift)

It is desires and intentions that got twisted along the way but not cardboard cutout evil for shit and giggles. In the end it is understandable human desire for a better life and place to belong but going way too far to achieve/keep it. Which sadly is all too human too.
And I noticed, there were translations that did not make any sense.
One translation was wrong aka it says they dated after meeting again after ten years, when it actually says that they met ten years ago. (nothing about dating here, tho sometimes the word "λ§λμμ" (to meet) is also used to express "seeing someone" but the context is what matters and the former makes much more sense to me as korean learner) Seeing how CH says next "It was fate" toward the question how this happened the former makes a lot more sense as well.
