Why do you consider a 7.3 out of 10 to be "low?" The general understanding of ratings here on MDL seems odd. There…
As someone who has watched a lot of BLs, anything under a 7.5 is usually a bit rough, in my opinion. So I was confused on why this was 7.3β¦ since in my BL terms, that seems low. And I really enjoyed the first episode.
Sorry if that doesnβt mean the same for you! We all look at ratings differently. Thatβs the beauty of being unique to one another. We think differently.
This was such a plot twist! I was rooting for Jaemin in the beginning and was thinking about what a crazy person Suhyeon was... but now it's the very opposite. It's amazing what you assume without all of the context. That's good writing and good acting. I think Seonghyeon is definitely the best option for Daon... but I can't help but hold out hope for Suhyeon. But I'm a sucker for their kind of trope, honestly.
Either way, I hope Jaemin rots. π€ͺ Even though Kim Hoyoung is insanely handsome. π
I really loved this manhwa, so I hope the show does it justice! The first two episodes were alright! The teacher always rubbed me the wrong way in the manhwa and good to know he still does in the drama too. Hahaha.
Overall, it's still pretty cute, so I'll keep watching!
"I wish Yotha would have explained WHY he kissed Wa to Gun... because Gun is STILL thinking about it." >>THIS!…
I'm happy that the preview next week was a happy one because if I had to watch this for another week, I would have slammed my head against a wall! Hahaha. Agreed, though! I hope Yotha properly apologizes for making Gun wait and making him sad. They can be lovey-dovey next episode, but I want some form of an apology or at least Yotha being sympathetic about the entire thing!
"I wish Yotha would have explained WHY he kissed Wa to Gun... because Gun is STILL thinking about it." >>THIS!…
I KNOWWW. This part made me so frustrated! I wanted them to have a whole conversation about WHY it happened and how they both feel! I think Gun is too forgiving and he doesn't like to talk about serious stuff, so he just tried to move past it. And Yotha doesn't understand how to properly make up or explain his emotions to someone. But, they need to figure that out in their relationship going forward! I can't keep seeing Gun get hurt!! π
i personally don't think any amount of "trauma" would make a man so apathetic towards the man he's supposedly…
I think trauma can do a lot to a person. Whether someone deems a certain kind of trauma "not as severe as other traumas," it still affects the person and sometimes greatly. And with Yotha, it seemed to have been when he was young... which is a very impressionable time in one's life. I have a lot of friends and family who experienced horrible relationships and heartbreak and it did impact their future relationships, even when they were in love with them. I don't think trauma should be an excuse to hurt people, but I do understand why Yotha is acting the way he is. I don't think it makes him a red flag. I think it makes him someone hurting, who has not been shown enough love and care in his life. And when he got it, it was taken away from him. And now that someone else is showing love and care again, he's scared. And he's scared of hurting Gun, someone he cares about, the way he was hurt. So he wants to make sure his feelings are real, so he doesn't go to Gun months down the line and say he changed his mind... like Wa did to him.
Gun deserves the world though. So I will always be Team Gun. I want him to be happy. And I don't think what Yotha is doing is right, either. But I honestly think Gun is the best person for Yotha. He's hurting, but he's patient. And he's forgiving. And while that might be his downfall... it's something Yotha needs. And I think once Yotha figures his shit out... he'll make Gun his world. Which will make the waiting and the patience Gun shows, worth it in Gun's mind.
This episode made me more exhausted than last weeks! I just want them to be happy. π
I wish Yotha would have explained WHY he kissed Wa to Gun... because Gun is STILL thinking about it. When he was upset in the later part of the episode, he still thought about it. If he would have just explained that he was trying to see if he had feelings anymore and he figured out he didn't... then I think Gun would feel a bit more secure in situationship they have going on right now.
It's so hard to be mad at Yotha, because he's experienced trauma and that's why he's acting the way he is. Last episode, I wasn't mad at him because I understood his reasons. I don't like that he kissed Wa, but if he felt like that was the only way he could confirm that he didn't have feelings and move on, then that's what he had to do. And he's learned now that if he kisses Gun, Gun usually forgives him. I don't like this, but I understand why he's doing it.
But... I'm getting to the point where I AM getting angry now. He's hurt Gun multiple times now. And even if Gun keeps on saying he will wait and that he won't be sad... the truth is, he IS sad. He IS hurting because of Yotha's decisions. And it's selfish of Yotha to keep him hanging on when he doesn't know if he'll ever decide how he feels. If he needs time to figure out his own feelings, he needs to back off. They can be friends, hang out... whatever... but he shouldn't be cuddling Gun and kissing him. It's just giving him hope. And while we know they eventually will be together... Gun doesn't know that right now. He just feels Yotha's ups and downs. Yotha's hot then he's cold. I would be exhausted if I were Gun.
I don't think Yotha is a red flag, as people have been saying, though. I think he's just a hurt kid that doesn't know how to identify his feelings. Even him not knowing if he liked the ocean... it's all trauma. Wa messed him up. He's not intentionally hurting Gun. It's just....... so frustrating.
Anyway, sorry for this rant! I was screaming at Yotha throughout this entire episode. I love him and I understand him... but I just can't justify him hurting Gun. Gun doesn't deserve this.
Next week's preview looks hopeful though! So I guess I'll go back to counting down the days until next Sunday!
This show was beautiful from start to finish. Episode 11 was heartbreaking but sadly realistic. The love the two of them have for each other is so beautiful... it feels so pure and lovely... it just soothes my soul. I loved this story so much. The actors did a phenomenal job. Everything was perfect. 10/10.
I got to episode 2 and I was like this seems so familiar!!! Why can't I figure out why? Turns out I've read the manga. Hahaha. I don't remember much, so I'm excited to relive it through this drama! π₯°
I've only seen the first episode of this and I was thinking about watching it on my flight to LA (to meet JimmySea π). My flight is four hours long... but I just wanted to know how raunchy it's been! hahaha. On a scale of 1-10, how embarrassing will it be? Hahaha.
